Please Don't Cry

Ch. 2  Fall for Me

               Myungsoo approached Sungyeol after school when he saw the taller male standing by the gates by himself. He had told his friends to go away so he could start the chase. Thankfully he can be alone with Sungyeol since L had club activities today and Sunggyu hyung left with his boyfriend Woohyun already.

               "Hey!" Myungsoo said waving at Sungyeol surprising the other boy.

               "O..Oh! Kim Myungsoo!" Sungyeol greeted mesmerized by his sweet dimply smile. " Are you catching the bus too?"

               "Bus? Oh no I was actually hoping to run into you." Myungsoo said sweetly.

               "Me? But why?"

               "Cause, I want to get to know you, since you're new to the school I can help show you around and get to know you."

               "R..really?..Thanks" Sungyeol blushed.

               "I'm pretty free right now, do you want to stop by someplace before heading home?" Myungsoo said. " I'm sure since you transferred you're probably new to the neighborhood as well."

               "S..Sure...I'm free too." Sungyeol said cheerfully.

               "Great lets go then!" Myungsoo said grabbing Sungyeol by the hand and heading off. Sungyeol stared at the other boy softly. His heart was beating nervously as he walked behind Myungsoo. Myungsoo was the first person he met at Woolim and he had been nothing but nice. This made Sungyeol feel very grateful to him.

               Myungsoo led him to a nice coffee shop in town. They order their drinks and sat by one of the window booth. It was sort of a couple's cafe because Sungyeol noticed that mostly young couples came there. Just daydreaming that maybe he could be a couple with Kim Myungsoo sent butterflies in his stomach.

               "Thank you Kim Myungsoo, for taking me here. It's really nice." Sungyeol said.

               "Honestly, you can just call my Myungsoo." Myungsoo gave him a smile. " So, um are you planning to join any clubs?"

               "Clubs? Emm...I don't know yet...it's still my first day, so I haven't started looking into them yet, plus it's the middle of the year, I don't think they need any more people." Sungyeol said.

               "Sure they do, actually I'm in photography and journalism and we need more people to help out and stuff, maybe you should join...than I get to see you more." Myungsoo offered.

               "Eheh...really? Ok." Sungyeol said cheerfully.

               The two decided to head back late in the evening. Myungsoo walked Sungyeol to his front door still holding to the other's hand. They had gotten to know each other better that evening. Myungsoo found that there was a lot of cute sides to Sungyeol, from his pouts, to his jokes, to his sweet personality and how he viewed things. Sungyeol was falling for Myungsoo more and more.

               "Thanks for today Myungsoo." Sungyeol said waving goodbye, but the next thing he knew Myungsoo kissed him on the cheek.

               "Bye Yeolie." Myungsoo said calmly, deep down he actually admire Sungyeol's beautiful face under the moonlight. He felt his own heart tingle a bit, but shaking it off. "I'll see you in homeroom tomorrow. OH! Wait...you still don't have my number right?"

               "N..No." Sungyeol said feeling his face redden even more. Myungsoo lay out his hand motioning Sungyeol to hand him his phone.

               "Here, that's my number. I'll text you tonight Sungyeol." Myungsoo said saving Sungyeol's number into his own phone.

               The two said their goodbyes with lingering feelings. Sungyeol sigh as he entered his house feeling like he was on cloud 9, but his happiness ran short when he was met with the sight of angry parents.

               "WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?!" Mr. Lee yelled.

               "You're father and I were worried sick! Sungyeol-ah it's 10:30 pm...where did you go after school?!" His mother nagged.

               "I...made a new friend today. He asked me to go hang out for a little bit. I'm sorry..." Sungyeol said with a frown.

               "Well next time, know you have a curfew. You're to be home at 9 sharp!" His parents yelled.

               His parents were strict people, and was always paranoid if he had gone out too late. They loved him, but sometimes their way of showing it was a little overbearing giving Sungyeol no room to breathe. Feeling a little dejected he headed to his bedroom to wash up and do his homework.

               *bringe bringe*

               The sound came from his phone. A text message had came for him.

               "Hello Yeolie! =^-^= It's me Myungie! Hope you're doing ok. Hope you don't mind me calling you Yeolie."

               Sungyeol smiled at the cute emoticon and messaged he received from Myungsoo.

               "I'm ok Myungie, but I just got scolded by my parents for coming back late. TT_TT" Sungyeol replied.

               *bringe bringe* "I'm sorry Yeolie, it's my fault then, but I promise next time I'll make it up to you...and you won't be late anymore. I'm here if you need to talk. ^^" Myungsoo texted.

               "Thanks Myungie."

               "No prob. <3"

               Their text continued through the night. Myungsoo happily smiled at Sungyeol's responses, and for a few moments he forgot about the bet.

               "Stop texting! I can't sleep." L grumbled in his own bed at Myungsoo.

               "Don't be jealous."

               *bringe bringe* Another sound rang through the phone causing L to grown in frustration.

               "I'm serious, I'm gonna break you phone if you don't stop."

               *bringe bringe*

               "Ugh!" The older boy growled in frustration getting up from his bed and grabbing Myungsoo phone about to throw it at the wall. He stopped when he saw the name "Lee Sungyeol" on the screen. Slowly L's face turned from annoyance to a saw frown.

               "Hey! Give me back my phone!" Myunsoo got up and was now fighting L for his phone.

               "You...know Lee Sungyeol?" L asks slowly.

               "Yeh, he's in my homeroom." Myungsoo said casually.  "What about him?"

               "...Nothing..." L said handing Myungsoo his phone back. "...So...you're close?"

               "We will be." Myungsoo said with a smirk.

               For the first time in his life, he felt a little jealous of Myungsoo. Usually he didn't care and would let Myungsoo have his way, but for some reason it hurts to know Myungsoo was getting closer to Sungyeol when he haven't even gotten as close to even official introduction yet, and Myungsoo has already gotten other boy's number.

               "Myungsoo-yah...Don't play around ok." L said with a serious voice before heading to bed. He felt that it was probably best to sleep right now to cool his head. L suddenly felt really angry at his brother.

               Sungyeol felt many angry eyes glare at him as Myungsoo approached him from behind giving him a surprise hug. At the moment he didn't care about the glares, because he was with Myungsoo right now. A week had passed since he started at Woolim High, and so far his first real friend was Kim Myungsoo. Although Myungsoo didn't really hang out with him during lunch he still texted him a lot , and they have met up afterschool often.

               "Umm I can't eat with you today, but I promise I'll pick you up at the gate afterschool today." Myungsoo waved at Sungyeol.

               "Yo! Can we sit here!?" An older boy with distinguish lips asked Sungyeol as he place his food tray on the table, and smiling at Sungyeol brightly.

               "S..sure!" Sungyeol said still looking up at the three boys taking their seats.

               "I'm Dongwoo! This is Hoya, and Sungjong!" The one name Dongwoo said motioning to the others behind him.

               "The stupid Kim Myungsoo fans took all the tables, this one was the only empty one left." A one by the name Sungjong said taking a seat.

               "You know Myungsoo?" Sungyeol questioned.

               "Know him?! Of course, everybody knows him, he's the most popular guy in school, him and his brothers...well maybe except L..." Sungjong said.

               "I thought I was the most popular guy!" another boy interjected.

               "No HOYA, in your dreams your most popular." Sungjong rolled his eyes, While Dongwoo and Sungyeol laugh at the two.

               "You're the new guy right? I heard about you, I'm in the next class. 201A. " Sungjong said, " Same with Hoya. Dongwoo hyung is a year above us."

               "Nice to meet you all." Sungyeol smiled, but remembered Sungjong's words about L. He remembered during their conversation Myungsoo did mention he had brothers, so this L is one of his brothers? That means the black notebook with the white inscription on it belonged to L.

               "L...?"  Sungyeol questioned internally. "Why didn't Myungsoo deny that the notebook wasn't his? But...then again maybe he just forgot and thought it would be easier just to take it to give it back to his brother...then the one I met in the halls was L."

               Sungyeol couldn't help but feel a little disappointed in Myungsoo but he choose to ignore the feeling. Even though Myungsoo sort of lied it wasn't such a big deal, after all it was thanks to that Sungyeol had gotten to know Myungsoo better, and he proves himself to be such a wonderful friend to Sungyeol so far.

               "Yo Sungyeol!" Dongwoo called out " We were saying we wouldn't mind you hanging out with our little group from now on."

               "You seem cool." Hoya nodded in agreement along with Sungjong.

               "T...Thanks" Sungyeol said grateful to their friendliness.

               "Saaay, can we ask you something?...are you and Kim Myungsoo seeing each other?" Dongwoo asks.

               "Uh..e..excuse me?" Sungyeol couldn't register what his new friend had said.

               "Are you guys dating?" Sungjong repeated for Dongwoo.

               "A..aniyo...we're just friends..." Sungyeol felt a blush coming on.

               "Oh..ok good, because since you're new you probably don't know...but he's not a good guy to date." Sungjong said.

               "W...what do you mean?" Sungyeol questioned feeling a bit upset.

               "Oh...just rumors here and there, well it doesn't matter...you're not dating anyways so it doesn't apply anyways." Sungjong said. Someone Sungyeol felt a bit hurt to hear what the other boy had to say about Myungsoo.  "And...his fans will be after you if they find out it's true, so you should be careful. It's not easy to date Woolim High's number one Kingka!"

               He waited after school for Myungsoo like usual. Myungsoo surprised him again with a back hug.

               "Wah, you surprised me!" Sungyeol yelled.

               "Hehe, ready to go?" Myungsoo smiled at him sweetly sticking out his tongue.

               The two headed off towards their usual hang out. Sungyeol was a bit silent throughout their walk because due to what Sungjong had said at lunch.

               "Hey...what's wrong?" Myungsoo questioned caressing Sungyeol's cheek with one of his finger softly. He knew when Sungyeol was upset about something it would show through his cheeks because it would puff up a little making it seem like he was pouting.

               "Nothing..." Sungyeol denied.

               "If you say so, well I have something to ask you." Myungsoo said brightly. " My brother is having a part this weekend, and I want to ask if you want to come. It's an open party so you can bring friends too if you want."

               "You..you're inviting me?" Sungyeol said nervously.

               "Sure, why not! You're one of my good friends." Myungsoo shrugged. "You have to come ok? I have something important I want to ask you that day."

               Sungyeol was happy the Myungsoo would invite him, but the word friends kind of hurt him a little. He tried not to think about it, but deep down he really wish he was more to Myungsoo than that, but of course, Myungsoo is the kingka of the school and he is just the new student that nobody really know yet, so how can the kingka even like him that way?

               They walked side by side next to each other, sometimes their hands would brush against each other, other times their shoulders would touch. Myungsoo felt that Sungyeol had a friendly aura that wasn't like any of the friends he had. He didn't have to hide, or pretend to be cool around Sungyeol, and this made Myungsoo eager to win Sungyeol for his own. A cold familiar tone interrupted the two as they proceeded on the familiar route towards home.

               "Sunggyu hyung asks where you went."

               Myungsoo and Sungyeol turned back to see a person identical to Myungsoo. Sungyeol couldn't help but feel absorbed by the other twin's cold gaze.

               "L hyung, I thought you had club activities today." Myungsoo said.

               "It ended early." L said in a monotone voice, he was looking directly at Sungyeol.

               "Oh, this is Sungyeol! He was the one___" Myungsoo began

               "I know, we've met." L said coldly interrupting Myungsoo, " Anyways, I'm heading home, you should too, Sunggyu hyung wants you home." L turned away from the two coldly and walked off. Sungyeol felt sad to see him go, but at the same time he couldn't help but really notice the big difference between L and Myungsoo. Myungsoo was a much warmer person, or so he thought at the moment.

               He was really drawn by L at first and even more after thinking that he was Myungsoo, but meeting this L he felt like the first person he met in the hallway the first day of school was someone from a dream. This L was so cold, yet the person he met in the hall was so warm. Even warmer than Myungsoo. Even though he didn't say anything then, it showed in his eyes, and his touch when he held Sungyeol that one time.

               L walked silently in the cold. Usually he would play songs in his mp3 to keep him company but at the moment he was in no mood for music. He was sent by Sunggyu on an errand to fetch Myungsoo, because their parents were coming back tonight and they needed to be home. When L finally found Myungsoo he didn't know that his younger brother was accompanied by Lee Sungyeol, the one person who had occupied his mind for the past few days since he came to Woolim High. The sight of them together standing centimeters apart made his blood boiled.

               The night of Sunggyu's party came. Sungyeol had invited Dongwoo, Sunjong, and Hoya to join him since Myungsoo said that he could invite his friends as well. He really had to convince his parents a whole lot to be able to go, saying that it's a special school event. They have arrived at the steps of the Kim's residents to find a glorious house. Lights and music blasted through the house as they young group entered. There were people from school, as well as foreign people they didn't know, possibly seniors who were friends of Sunggyu's.

               Sungjong, Dongwoo, and Hoya went for the food table as Sungyeol looked around for Myungsoo. There were too many people and it hard to identify any familiar faces. He made his way upstairs and saw Myungsoo standing by himself leaning against the railing of the balcony. He was staring off at the open air sipping on his drink.

               "Myungie!" Sungyeol waved running to him. The other boy turned the around and looked at him with cold eyes. It wasn't Myungsoo. " Oh...L-shii, sorry I thought you were Myungsoo."

               "It's ok, easy mistake." L said cooly.

               "Do you know where Myungsoo is?" Sungyeol asks nervously. He really didn't know why being around L made him feel like there were a million butterflies in his stomach. He was more comfortable around Myungsoo, since Myungsoo was so much easier to talk to.

               "He's probably around." L said his eyes seem to look directly through Sungyeol. Sungyeol stood there still as if petrified. "Want a drink?" L said pulling out a bottle and handing it to Sungyeol.

               "A..Ani...I don't drink alcohol..." Sungyeol blushed.

               "It's non-alcoholic silly." L said his tone was very different from Myungsoo. If they can be compared to the seasons Myungsoo sounded like fresh Spring and warm Summer while L sounded like breezy Fall, and frosty Winter. Sungyeol didn't know then that L had a tiny hint of amusement in his tone because Sungyeol was too cute.

               Sungyeol politely took the drink from him.

               "Um...I never got to formally say it, but thank you for helping me out, the first day of school. I really would've been so lost without you." Sungyeol took the courage to word out the sentence. L didn't say anything but his face seem less stoic, and he gave a warmer expression.

               "I'm really grateful, b..because I found your notebook, I got to meet Myungsoo as well...Thanks to you...I made a really good friend." Sungyeol said sincerely. L frowned when he heard the last part. " I hope...we can be really good friends as well."

               "Sure." L took a sip of his drink, trying to drown out his frustrations. Sungyeol's drink wasn't alcoholic, but his was.

               "Yeolie, there you are! I've been looking all over!"Myungsoo interrupted as he made his way over, and taking Sungyeol's hand.

               "Hyung! Why didn't you tell me he was here all this time?!" Myungsoo ranted at L.

               "It's not his fault Myung, I just barely got here anyways. Your house is so big I couldn't find you." Sungyeol was happy to be able to see Myungsoo.

               "Yeolie remember I told you I have something to ask you?" Myungsoo said leaning in close to Sungyeol causing the taller boy to blush. L pretended he didn't see or hear them. " Come on! Let's go somewhere alone."

               "It was nice talking to you L-shii" Sungyeol cheerfully waved. L sighed knowing full well what Myungsoo wanted to ask Sungyeol. He had become aware of Myungsoo's feelings towards Sungyeol since the two started texting each other. It really hurt a lot but Myungsoo was his little brother, and he can't fight him for Sungyeol. Since their parents aren't really around much Myungsoo only had Sunggyu and him as family. He hope he made the right decision by backing down, and he really hope Myungsoo can make Sungyeol happy.

               Myungsoo pulled Sungyeol towards a different section of the house to another balcony. The Kim estate was huge, and with large windows, and doors there comes large balconies. Sungyeol was mesmerized by the moonlight that shown on Myungsoo's face. Lighting every feature of his face softly. He was really handsome, and it cause Sungyeol to feel his heart beat racing with each breath he took. Myungsoo leaned in close to his ear.

               "Sungyeol-ah...I know we've only known each other for roughly two weeks, but what I feel for you...I really haven't felt for anyone else." Myungsoo began slowly, " I think I love you Sungyeol-ah"

               Sungyeol couldn't believe his ears, he blinked several times hoping that he wasn't dreaming. Did Kim Myungsoo really just confessed to him? He remain silent for a few minutes not knowing how to response.

               "....Sungyeol?" Myungsoo frowned questioning him while staring into his eyes giving him a lost puppy look. "...I'm sorry...I guess you don't feel the same way, forget I said___"

               "No,M..Myungsoo-ah...I...I think I love you too." Sungyeol said desperately hoping Myungsoo wouldn't misunderstand his earlier lack of expression. Myungsoo pulled him in, and the two were lock in a deep kiss. Myungsoo on Sungyeol's bottom lip hungrily as their tongues collided. His hands wandered from the back Sungyeol's neck down to Sungyeol's back, and his other hand touching Sungyeol's . One of his hand slowly moving towards the button of Sungyeol's shirt and removing it then going for the one Sungyeol's pants.

               From the balcony next door L witness the scene unfold. His heart seem to be hurting as if someone has stabbed it repeatedly with a dagger. His fists tightened as he held in his jealous feelings. He only wish the person touching Sungyeol was him instead of Myungsoo. Not being able to withstand it much longer he tossed his drink in the far distance out in anger, and proceeded into the house.

               "....M.yungsoo...s..stop.." Sungyeol panicked as he felt Myungsoo's hand groping him down in front.

               "Nmn..it's ok babe..it'll feel good." Myungsoo said still focus on devouring Sungyeol's lips and touching him a bit too roughly this time.

               "N..No...Myung...stop!" Sungyeol cried. Pulling himself away roughly. Myungsoo looked a bit angry at first, but his expression quickly changed and soften again.

               "I'm sorry...Myungsoo...I'm really sorry, but I'm not ready...to go that far yet." Sungyeol said buttoning his pants and shirt. His eyes are starting to tear up, feeling fearful that Myungsoo might hate him now.

               "It's ok babe...I'm not mad...I'll wait ok?" Myungsoo said kissing Sungyeol on the forehead and pulling him into a hug.  

               "Thank you...Myungsoo." Sungyeol said resting his head on Myungsoo's shoulders.
