Please Don't Cry Ch. 11

               Can We Be Happy?

               L pulled Sungyeol to the baby isled. The taller boy told him it wasn't necessary to shop for new things since babies grow fast, and Sungyeol was sure his mom had relatives who have hand-me-downs. They were still both students so they shouldn't waste money on baby clothes that would only be worn for a month and thrown away. L didn't listen and just gave him random excuses. They had found out a few days ago that the baby would be a boy.

               "We won' t buy that much." L said.

               "If you say so..." Sungyeol replied.

               "I hope the baby looks just like you." L smiled a little making Sungyeol blush.

               Sungyeol couldn't help but feel a little bad leaving Myungsoo standing like that, but there wasn't any left for them to say to each other. He use to feel a heavy pain whenever he saw Myungsoo, and his heart would hurt, but this time when he saw the raven haired boy he felt nothing. Not love, not hatred, just nothing.

               The two walked side by side. Sungyeol felt L's arm brush pass his a few times. Even the slight skin ship caused his heart to beat faster, and his temperature to rise. It was strange how they had the same face, but looking at one made him feel nothing, and the other made his heart rate go crazy. Taking the initiative this time, Sungyeol held onto L's hands entwining his fingers with L's. He felt L fingers wrapping around his hand tighter.

               Sungyeol realized that he had mistaken a lot of things. The first time he had fallen for L, but thought Myungsoo was the brunette, and had fallen for Myungsoo and his sweet words instead, but things were clearer for him.

               "L-ah..." Sungyeol stopped on his track. L turned over to him with a questioning look. " I love you first too."

               Sungyeol wanted to say it for a long time, since he realized he loved L. He had realized months ago during their time together, but was still scared. He was scared he might've still loved Myungsoo and might have mistaken the love he had for Myungsoo with L, and he was scared of getting hurt.  Seeing Myungsoo again made Sungyeol realized he really loved L.

               He never forgot the onetime L had said , "Because I love you first."  it was on the roof after the kingkas have played their cruel joke on him. He had pushed L away, but the other boy never gave up on him.

               "I know." L said trying to keep his cool, " Well I don't know...I mean I know you love me...but not first..."

               "Hmm...how did you know...?" Sungyeol chuckled at L's rare slips, and was curious on how L would know. This gave L time to recover his cool.

               "You confessed to me before." L said coolly.

               "Hmpt...in your dreams" Sungyeol said playfully.

               "Nope, in your dreams." L said planting a kiss on Sungyeol's nose.

               "What?! I did??" Sungyeol said blushing now.

               "Yep, you said it. You were so cheesey too, it gave me chills." L said.

               "No I didn't!!!" Sungyeol pouted as the usually stoic boy .

               L had changed too, for most parts he was really expressive around Sungyeol, even though around others he was still L.

               "Oh I have a surprise today." L began.      

               "What?"

               "We're meeting my brother today, so let's grab a gift before we go there." L said.

               "I've already met your brother..." Sungyeol said his eyes going blank.

               "Not that one, I mean my older brother." L said.

               "How many do you have? Does he look like you too?" Sungyeol questioned.

               "Um..no he looks totally different from me and Myungsoo." L said.

               They ended up buy three bags of items. Two were baby things, and one was a present for Sunggyu and Woohyun.

               The Kim's manor wasn't unfamiliar to him, since it was where Myungsoo had confessed to him before. He still didn't have a nice feeling coming back, but the atmosphere didn't bring back bad memories so he was grateful for that. L led him inside. It looks different without the party atmosphere like how he had seen it from before. Two men sat on the chair in the living room waiting for them. Both stared at him in surprise. He could feel their eyes on him. At first they calmly looked at his face then Sungyeol noticed their eyes travelled to his stomach. He felt his legs becoming weak to their stairs. He really wanted to run away. The smaller eye man didn't hide his shock, while the other recovered and his face changed to a smile.

               "Welcome, we're glad L brought you here." The man said coming to them and leading Sungyeol to a seat.

               "Thanks Woohyun hyung." L said greeting Woohyun and his brother handing Woohyun their present.

               "L...when you said you were gonna be a father soon...I really didn't know how soon." Sunggyu began without wasting much time with formalities. Sunggyu looked over to the taller brunette on the sofa.

               "L briefly mentioned you. You're name is Sungyeol right?" Sunggyu began. "...You look like a nice person, but I can't agree with yours and L decision to get married yet. Your both too young still."

               "M...marriage?" Sungyeol said looking shock. "...L?"

               "I haven't told him yet hyung. I decided on my own, so don't scold him." L said staring at Sunggyu a little irritated, " Plus...I don' t think you have a say in this. It's my own business when I want to get marry."

               "L!" Woohyun scolded in a motherly manner.

               Sunggyu was a little irritated as his younger brother's attitude.  He could feel his blood pressure rising.

               "Aiigoo...they just got here Gyu, let's have them eat first before we discuss anything further." Woohyun said trying to calm the situation.

               Dinner was quite awkward between L and Sunggyu. The older of the two brothers kept on grunting and shuffling in his seat and the younger of the brothers sat their silently emitting a cold silent storm as he ate. The steak was suffering greatly under L's knife. Sungyeol sat nervously in his own seat, but he was grateful that Woohyun was friendly and started conversation with him. They talked about schooling, and other stuff.

               "How many months are you in?" Sunggyu broke the awkwardness.

               "...Almost 7." Sungyeol said nervously. He could feel L grabbing his hand from under the table.

               " 7!" Sunggyu eyes grew a little larger and shook his head at L.

               "Gyu...ah...maybe it's not a bad idea to let them marry." Woohyun interjected.

               After leaving L's house Sungyeol stopped on his tracks suddenly.

               "L-ah...why didn't you tell me...about the marriage thing?" Sungyeol said in a serious tone.

               "Well..I was going to propose first." L said calmly.

               "No...I think this is too much..." Sungyeol said a little angry. "...I'm grateful...to you...and...I love you L, but I can't make you do this..."

               "Look at me Sungyeol ! I already told you, I don't care about anything besides you and the baby." L pulled Sungyeol to face him. " Just...accept my feelings...it's not pity, if that's what you're thinking."

               "..." Sungyeol nodded.

               "Despite what my brother says, he will come around. He's a little slow, but he won't let me down. Plus...even if he disagrees I'm not going to let it get in the way of us." L reassured. " Plus he's way easier to convince than your father."

               Sungyeol couldn't help but chuckled at the last part.

               "Thank you...so much L..." Sungyeol leaned into L hugging him back.

               "Let's name it Hyungsoo!" Sungyeol said suddenly looking through the "Babies Book of Names".

               "Are you really considering naming the baby after that one character from 'Shut up Flower Boy Band'?" L said from his laptop.

               "What...but he's my favorite character...he's so cool too..." Sungyeol whined causing L to roll his eyes.

               "What about Myungsol?" L said suddenly.

               "But..." Sungyeol said hesitating a bit, thinking how close it sounds to Myungsoo and pouted.

               "We can name the second one Hyungsoo if you want." L said kissing Sungyeol on the forehead.           

               "YAH! I don't plan on getting pregnant again...not...anytime soon." Sungyeol protested finding himself blushing hard. "What about...Lawliet...?"

               "No ! We're not naming him after any anime character!" L scolded again.

               "Ugh you're no fun!" Sungyeol said. " Well we have to decide soon! Or I'm naming him L the II."

               "I wouldn't mind that." L said chuckling at the thought.

               "You're impossible!" Sungyeol cried.

               "If he looks like you let's name him Sungyeolie the II" L joked earning a pillow to the face.

               The two sat comfortably on the sofa, Sungyeol still looking through his babies name book in L's lap and L wrapping his arms around Sungyeol while  browsing on his laptop.
