“Hey, look! It's like it's smiling!” Seunghyun pointed at the fish tank next to them. “It's almost like..” he said with his eyes glued to the fish, his finger lightly touching the glass. It was looking right at him, smiling ever so cutely. “Dude! It's you!!” he all but shouted, fascinated by his own discovery. “Huh?” Daesung answered perplexed, clearly not following his line of thought. Daesung had been keeping a safe distance from all the fishes, just in case. He didn't know what he thought would happen, that a tank would spontaneously burst open at the same exact moment he was in front of it, showering him with icky fishes? Unlikely.

“It's you. I'm sure of it. It's fish-Daesung. You do know that everyone has a fish-version of themselves right?” Seunghyun repressed a smile. Daesung looked at him with a total 'mong'-expression.

“No? An ancient Maya tribe in South America discovered it by accident, but started like a whole research about it. They called themselves the fish-tribe and like worshipped them and stuff. And their tribe leader started this huge quest to find his own fish-version, but when they found it, the tribe made fish-him their leader and cast the human one aside. They believed the fish were gods, so the fish-versions were in fact the god-versions of themselves. And they actually had super good luck after that, they were like the most prosperous Maya tribe of all, or that's what the scientists say.” he paused for a moment to allow his brain more time to make the rest up.

“Then it was forgotten for hundreds of years, but when they found the city again, not so long ago, they started investigating this fish-theory, even though they thought it was total bull, cuz like.. come on.. fish-version? It sounds like a total joke... but to their immense surprise, it's actually true. Not the god part obviously... or... who knows?” Seunghyun had managed to remain in control of the laughter that was begging to come out, pretending he was as serious as a heart attack.

Daesung hung on his every word, Seunghyun could almost see his brain working overtime through the intense concentration in his eyes. He looked skeptical. “I'm not kidding, I read it the other day. It was kind of the reason I wanted to come here.” Seunghyun added, trying hard to make him take the bait. Daesung glanced at fish-Daesung, but fish-Daesung was looking right at Seunghyun.

“You know how I can tell it's fish-you? See! He's looking right at me! He recognizes me, and what's more, see the pure admiration in his eyes when he looks at me...” he couldn't contain the laughter much longer, still it was not him that burst out with laughter, but Daesung. Ah, that sound. He loved that sound more than anything. 'heh-heh heh-heh-heh'. It somehow instantly made him happy, making all his worries melt away.

Daesung suddenly stopped laughing, getting an idea. He ran off without a word, leaving Seunghyun completely baffled. Where was he going? He looked at fish-Daesung, fish-Daesung returning his gaze. “Do you know where he went?” he asked him, but fish-Daesung just smiled back.

Seunghyun wandered around in his lonesome, there wasn't a sign of Daesung anywhere. He couldn't just have left, could he? No. That wasn't Daesung. He wasn't like that. But what on Earth could he be up to? He was getting curious.

An out of breath Daesung grabbed his elbow, towing him along. “I found you!” he snickered. Seunghyun was less than impressed, he hadn't really been lost. It had been Daesung that had left, not him. They stopped in front of a huge fish tank with all kinds of big creatures leisurely swimming around. Daesung was super excited, almost bouncing. “Wait for it, wait for iiit.” he squeaked. He was glad he was at least having fun. He had been a little worried after the shaky start the date had had. A minute went by, nothing. He was going to demand an explanation for all this, when Daesung actually started jumping up and down, “Look! Look!” he giggled.

“FISH-YOU!!!”

Daesung almost fell over he was laughing so hard. Seunghyun snorted. It could be worse. After all, rays were pretty cool, so it was almost a compliment. As he watched how the ray swam elegantly away, admiring Mother Nature's imagination, Daesung pulled on his elbow again. He wasn't completely hating it, but of course still acted like Daesung was being a total bother. Reluctantly letting him drag him along. Daesung started snickering even before they had arrived at the next location. He couldn't imagine what was next, maybe the other members in Big Bang, that was the only thing that came to mind.

“TA-DA!!”

Seunghyun stared at it. What the hell was it? And why were they here? Daesung's eyes were wet, he was laughing so hard that no sound came out. He didn't get it. This was definitely not fish-Jiyong or fish-Youngbae, and if it was fish-Seungri he didn't really get the joke. “Don't you get it!! It's fat-fish-you!” Daesung had to put his hands around his stomach, it was spasming so hard from all the laughing. “Pre-trainee... get it?!”, he could barely get the words out, snickering like an idiot.

Before Seunghyun could decide if he was offended or amused, Daesung had darted off again, pulling him after him like a reluctant little dog. No, big dog. Reluctant big dog.

“Last, but definitely NOT the least...” Daesung announced. Oh, please don't say it, Seunghyun thought.

“FISH-PINGU TOP!!”

The smile on Daesung's face nearly went full circle, his face in danger of tearing in two. He lifted up his phone and took a photo of it, directly making it his new background. Seunghyun would never ever admit that the fish looked anything like him, especially because he hated the pingu-nickname, and Daesung knew it, obviously trying to push his buttons. How adorable. But he couldn't help swooning a bit over the fact that now Daesung had him as his background. Granted, the fish-version of him. But still. It counted. It was a step forward. There was a light at the end of the tunnel, now they just had to follow it to get to the other side. Daesung proudly waved his phone around not two inches from his nose, trying to rub it in. He acted like he was mildly annoyed, trying to hide just how much he was loving this.

“Well, since we've found both fish-Daesung and fish-me, we should get the staff to put them in a tank together.. so they can.. kiss...”. It came out more awkward than Seunghyun had intended. He wanted to slap himself on the forehead. He had been having trouble with coming up with a smooth way of bringing up kissing. It was already the 4^th date so he had to start strategizing a little. He doubted they were ready for that yet, but he wanted to see Daesung's reaction. Would he cringe or had he been thinking about it too?

“Hey! Let's find the other one's too!” Daesung said way too excitedly. Okay, total denial. That worked too. Seunghyun went along with it, sensing now was not the time to get into it. “Hmm..” he said, as they scanned each fish tank for a resemblance to either Jiyong, Youngbae or Seungri.
