GyeongRan continued, "I won't say it wasn't his fault even though he is my son. But I am sure it was never his intention to hurt you since he would rather hurt himself than to hurt you. He just didn't know how to show his affection to you. Like I said, he lived a wrong life all these years. He was so twisted that he didn't know how to show his real emotions. He is trying so hard to change, for himself and for you."

GyeongRan smiled at ChaeWon. ChaeWon took a deep breath and said, "I'm really sorry. I really didn't mean to hurt him."

GyeongRan touched ChaeWon's face gently and said, "I know. You two are still young. You are supposed to learn from your mistakes along the way. No one knows everything from the beginning. Not even someone in my age. If I knew then, I wouldn't have left Young Do. I'm not lecturing you by telling you all these. I just want you to know how Young Do feels about you since I am worried that he still doesn't know how to show his feelings to you."

This time, tears were wobbling in ChaeWon's eyes.

GyeongRan, "Chae Won, can you promise me one thing?"

ChaeWon nodded.

GyeongRan smiled and said, "Promise me that you will give Young Do time and try your best to get to know him. Don't give up on him easily. Can you do that?"

Tears dropped from ChaeWon's eyes. She nodded her head and said, "I promise."

GyeongRan smiled gratefully.
