It wasn’t a surprise.  She shouldn’t be surprised. They agreed to it. She knew Kai was seeing someone. She also knew that someone was Sora. 

But there was just something about finding it out herself that Kai was indeed with Sora last night. It changed the way she felt about everything. 

It was like she could no longer come up with excuses for Kai. No longer lie to herself. No longer say that it was all okay; that it’ll all workout. No longer see Kai the same; feel the same.

It’s like something broke.

But it was all bound to. And something about yesterday particularly tipped it over the edge where it has been resting on for so long... where Jiwon had been trying to ignore for so long.

“You okay?” Kai took his eyes off the road for a moment and glanced at Jiwon who has been spacing out all morning.

“Just thinking.” Jiwon looked at Kai and gave him a smile. When she did look at him, she noticed the slight wrinkle with a very faint hint of pink on the collar of his dress shirt. 

This was what she meant when she say that she can’t look at Kai the same. Usually she would just be happy that Kai came back in the morning just to drop her off to work. But now, she can’t help but want to ask him ‘why bother.’

“Baekhyun is having a party tonight, if you want to come.” Kai told Jiwon when she was about to get out of the car.

“Maybe.” Jiwon replied quickly, wanting to get out of the car as soon as possible.

The second the car left, Jiwon couldn’t help but feel guilty and regret what she just did. She wanted to go. She really did. But what happened last night bothered her. She can't help but wonder if Sora has also met Kai’s friends. I Kai had asked Sora if she wanted to go. If she ended up the second choice. 

The endless ‘if’ scenarios just kept replaying around and around her head.

“Do you know how bad it could have been if there were pictures?” the scary man slammed the meeting room table and gave out a glare to the four across the room.

“We didn’t fight.” Luhan rolled his eyes without any bit of fear. 

“I wasn’t even a part of it!” Chanyeol tried to defend himself but it seemed like the man was hearing none of it.

“There wasn’t even anything to be a part of! ” Luhan glared at Chanyeol who was acting a bit too guilty for their good. “It’s just a rumor.”

“Do you have anything to say too Kris?” the man shifted attention to the lean figure in a black beanie and sunglasses who was leaning back against one of the chairs. “What is wrong with him?”

Now the attention was to Jiwon who somehow also got pulled into this mess.

“He…”

“He’s obviously hung over.” Now Luhan decides to tell the truth.

The old man gave a loud sign and pinched the bridge of his nose in frustrations. He expected situations like this from female models, but then again, it wasn’t the first time Luhan has frustrated him like this. 

“It’s also obvious you guys aren’t getting along with each other.” 

“I don’t get along with anybody.” Luhan chimed in, earning a kick from Chanyeol. 

“Stop it!”

“You stop it-“

“You know what?” the man cut them both off with a scary glare. “You guys are all going to the MT this weekend.”

“WHAT?” Both Luhan and Chanyeol widened their eyes and yelled out at the same time.

“But we’re seniors of the company!” Luhan tried, but it seemed like the man was hearing none of it. 

“You certainly don’t act like it. So I’m going to treat you guys like a bunch of rookies. I want you guys to bond and readjust your attitudes. You three were all picked to represent Ivy Club now and I can't afford for you guys to not get along. You're going.” With that the man left the room and slammed the door shut. 

Luhan responded with an exasperated scoff. He was frustrated to be hearing that he had to go to the MT. He had better things to do than to waste away a weekend with a bunch of trainees. 

“I can’t believe I have to go to that again.” Chanyeol sprawled out on the table and whined into his arms.

“Is it so bad?” Jiwon asked when she saw the reactions from Luhan and Chanyeol. It’s just a MT. She’s been to one in high school and that was pretty fun.

“You tell me if climbing mountains, sleeping in tents and counting sand is so bad.” Luhan had his head to the side while rubbing his eyes.

“Counting sand?”

“Some stupid tradition.” Chanyeol rolled his eyes at the memories.

Luhan also sighed at the memories. He was angry again and he the sight of Kris frustrated him more. “Wake up you drunk. This is your entire fault! You’re lucky I didn’t press charges.” 

“Sehun, you’re always honest with me.” Jiwon scooted closer to the blonde hair fellow on the secluded couch who was quietly sipping his drink while entertaining himself by watching stupid people. Kai being one of them.  

“Fine, I wasn’t going to tell you but red is a really ugly color on you.”

“What?” Jiwon looked down the dress she picked out for the party at Baekhyun’s house. Well actually, Kai picked it out. But he ended up off an away doing shots with Baekhyun anyways so she didn’t know why it mattered to him what she was wearing. 

“I’m just saying. Just because Kai’s favorite color is red, doesn’t mean you can pull it off-“

“I think I look fine in red.” Jiwon crossed her arms and gave him a glare. 

“You asked.”

“No, what I wanted to ask was-“

“Is this about Sora?” Sehun raised his eyebrows and titled his head off to the side to give her a smirk. 

“So you have met her.”

“Once. And the thing with her is that, she looks good in red.” 

“How is Kai like with her? Is he happy?” Jiwon asked with a worried face.

“It seemed so. Does it bother you?” Sehun asked sarcastically. 

“Does it bother you?” Jiwon mimicked his annoying tone, earning a chuckle from Sehun.

“She’s not s fun as you. I’ll give you that.” Sehun laughed a little more and ruffled Jiwon’s hair.

“Thanks.” Jiwon gave him a smile. 

“Look, you know as well as I do that Kai has a lot going on. And you also know that he’s figured a lot out since you’ve met him. Just give him time and he’ll figure it out more. You're good for him.” 

Jiwon found Kai passed out on the bed after walking out from their bathroom. She tucked the blanket in for Kai and pushed the hair back from his red face. Kai gets really red after drinking a lot.

“You’re going to be so hung over tomorrow.” Jiwon continued to massage his face a little. Kai gets terrible headache from alcohol.

“My head hurts.” Kai started .

“Why did you drink so much?”

“Because shots are fun.” Kai pulled Jiwon down with the little strength he had and hugged her tightly. “You smell like me.”  

“Sorry. I keep forgetting to buy my own shampoo.”

“No no.” Kai snuggled closer into Jiwon’s soft hair. “I like it when you smell like me.”

Jiwon smiled at how Kai was acting. Jiwon started to wrestle out of Kai’s grasp but he was not budging. “Let go. I’m going to start on the soup for tomorrow so you won’t have such a terrible headache.”

“I’m going to have a terrible headache anyways. Stay with me.”

“I’ll be right back.” Jiwon promised and kissed him on the cheeks before Kai finally loosened his grasp of her. 

Kai looked out to Jiwon who went off to the kitchen and smiled.

“What can I do without you Jiwon?”

I'm surprised by how many people actually like Luhan. he was supposed to be just an annoying supporting character. But something about Luhan in exo showtime especially (it was when he kept chanting no when suho claimed he looked like a girl) ...I'm taking a bit of a liking to him too now. I told myself I would never like one of those kpop stars who looked like a girl when I saw taemin. but then luhan came. 

I was going to wait until I hit 40 subs but I here I am, not following through again
