AGREEING TO WHAT EXACTLY?

Jiwon smiled at her first day for her internship. She was quite convincing. No one could possibly tell this was the same girl who cried herself to sleep last night while marathoning through her collection of Korean drama. 

The girl sighed at the memory, not because it's upsetting to be reminded of what happened-it was the fact that it did happen. Jiwon was never that kind of girl who would get so...so emotional over a guy. Nobody from her high school would have believed that Jiwon was that kind of a girl. Jiwon used to laugh at the girls who did such thing.

"I refuse to be that kind of girl." Jiwon hissed to herself, mentally giving herself a 'fighting.'

She was in the middle of giving herself a lecture when she suddenly bumped into something-someone.

"Sorry." Jiwon gave a bow to the guy, embarrassed that it was her first day and she already showed herself to be a klutz. Jiwon gave a hesitant look up at the guy, only to look away right away seeing the look on the guy's face. If winter had a face... 

'Winter would be quite handsome.' Jiwon thought to herself when the guy said something to look back at him.

"Just watch it next time." the guy replied coldly. Jiwon nodded her head in reply, thanking the heavens inside her head that the guy did not explode from anger. This guy just look like the kind of guy that would explode.

While the man was walking away, he e look back and shook his head at the sighed of the seemingly ditzy girl who crashed into a glass door."I swear, this industry is just filling itself with more and more stupid girls."

"Your model has yet to be determined but let me just tell you your expectation for the job so you could get yourself ready."

"M-my model?" Jiwon looked at the middle aged lady in confusion. She thought it was just an internship but no way is she being assigned a model... Who would think, so early and she could already shoot-

"Yes, your model who you will be following around and assisting them on photo shoots with." the lady responded, busying back to her brown clipboard.

"But I thought...I am supposed to be here for my internship-set up by my photography-"

"Yes. The internship that your teacher has set you up for. Do you not know where you are going and what you are here for?" the lady laughed condescendingly, already but ever more annoying Jiwon. 

"Yes but you said-"

"I said that you were going to be following a model around photo shoots with. Did I not say that?"

"You also said assisting?"

"I did. Which you will be doing. Do you have a problem with that?" the lady laughed once again in an annoying high pitched noise anyone (especially Jiwon) would want to punch her face for.

"Well-"

"Well let me first tell you what a bad impression you are making on your first day. Do you know how many girls would die for your position? Even the guys! You get to learn from the best of the best from behind the scene and are you already complaining because the company is asking for a small favor in return from you with a hand to help?"

"No...I just-"

"You just what? Shall I ask for another intern?"

"No! I want to be here. I was confused. That's all." Jiwon said in an assured tone of voice. She wanted to be here! The best teacher in the art department picked her so of course she is more than capable. She certainly was not going to accept this lady being condescending otherwise. 

"Well let me clear the confusion-this time and this time only. My job is not to take care of the likes of you and all I will be doing is giving instructions as to what you will be doing. All you are to do is listen. your confusion is also the least of my problems." the lady seemed to have reached her limit and Jiwon nodded diligently, knowing very what would happen if she opened another time. 

"Alright. I'm glad we got that out of the way. Firstly, you will be assigned to a model who you will be assisting. Depending where your model is, that is where you will be. But when you are assisting your model on photo shoots, you are also assisting everyone else on a photo shoot. Be glad because this opportunity is what you make of it. Learn from what you can with the little 3 months you have." 

Jiwon nodded in delight. Sure... she might not be able to fulfill her fantasy of this internship but the lady was quite right when she said it is what Jiwon makes of it. And Jiwon will be making something great from it. 

Jiwon wants to be a photographer and she wants to be a successful one. And Jiwon knows how much of a big opportunity it is for her future. She now learned that talking back wan't going to make it happen.

"Now-Ah! Luhan! Come here!" 

"What is it?" 

"Do you have an intern?"

"He's been sick for-"

"Take this one for the time being then." the lady pushed Jiwon to the confused doe-eyed boy.

"But it's a girl!" 

'It?' Jiwon glared at the boy. And she thought he would be all nice and polite judging from his baby face. 

"She was recommended and assured that she is not like one of those girls." the lady said once more before rushing away, leaving Jiwon alone. Those girls? The way the lady enunciated made that sound like a code word for something.  Ji won was about to asked but was found herself weirdly creeped out by the face he was making.

It was quite confusing really when a guy who seemed to treat her like an unwanted package started smiling like that.

"Luhan was it? My name is Jiwon." she reached her had out, wanting to be friendly after seeing the smile. Maybe he just rubbed off the wrong way-

"I'm hungry. The cafeteria is on the second floor. I usually only ever eat chicken and steamed vegetable. But since I don't have a scheduled photo shoot until next week... I want something with a lot of sodium. I'll be waiting in the lounge and come back quick before my food gets cold." Luhan pushed Jiwon toward the elevator. 

"Aish. And just when I thought he rubbed me the wrong way."

Jiwon was exhausted. She had to deal with Luhan all day during a fitting and that was traumatizing. Apparently, a model isn't supposed to walk into a fitting with a bloated face. Why should his face even matter during a fitting?

'And why yell at me so loud for it?' Jiwon sighed when she remembered the yelling lectures. And Luhan! He could have at least stepped in to say something.

"Where were you?" the voice came as soon as Jiwon punched in the passcode.

"Your here? I thought you were going to stay at your place for a while." Jiwon said as coldly as possible. She would suceed if she was talking to a stanger, but she was talking to Kai. And Kai knew better than anyone when it came to Jiwon. He knew clearly how fast her heart beats around her. Now is not an exception. 

"I was. But I missed you." Kai smiled. Any girl would believe him, distracted by such a smile on such a handsome face. But Jiwon has learned the hard way.

"So where were you?" Kai asked again when he saw that Jiwon was making her way to her room. Kai wanted to talk because he really doesn't like to not talk when he knows they aren't on great terms. But when they are, Jiwon finds it so hard to get Kai's attention.

"Internship."

"Internship? What internship-AH! I remember now. How was it?" 

"Good." 

"Aren't you going to ask about my day?" Kai followed Jiwon and leaned against the doorframe.

"How was it?"

"Good." Kai replied in an immature manner. He was hoping to get Jiwon at least slightly irritated by getting a taste of her own medicine but it's not working as well as Kai has hoped. Kai didn't like it when Jiwon was hunched over her bed like this, picking at her nails for whatever reason.

Jiwon nodded silently, hoping Kai would get the message. It was upsetting to know that Kai seemed to be acting as though everything was okay. Like last night didn't even happen.

But Kai does remember and he was hoping he didn't have to address it. But apparently he does because his girlfriend will probably be like this until they talk about it. Kai hates talking. Why talk? Talking only leads to more conflicts and arguments anyways.  

"I love you all right? Can that be enough?" Kai sighed when he realized he was still being given the silent treatment. 

"It is." Jiwon said in defeat. It was pointless to argue with Kai because he's Kai and that means being table to get whatever it is he wants.

But Jiwon wasn't lying when she said that Kai loving her is enough. The problem was that she knew Kai doesn't love her. They both knew. They both know how much Jiwon loves Kai and it seems that just saying words is enough for the both of them. 

For now. 

"Then what is the problem? Why are you so distant? Just say no if you don't want to."

"We both know me saying no doesn't mean anything. You're going to do what you want either way so I might as well try to get used to it." Jiwon looked up from her hands and gave him a displeased face. Of course though, Kai was less than affected by her grim expression because all he interpreted was a 'yes'.

"Then you agree?" Kai grinned cheek to cheek. Sure, he knew Jiwon didn't want to agree but she'll get over it. She always does. Why would she change now?
