Can I trust you Junyoung? He asked me even Ice Prince woke up and stared at me.
I’ve decided to follow you since the day I bowed to you. You don’t need to ask. I said humbly as I became the first knight.
~End of Flashback~
So that’s how you become one. I thought you really got your asses kicked by Beast. Heechul said chuckling.
I’m not like you. Junyoung sarcastically said but Heechul just laughed a bit.
Yeah… I guess not like me. Heechul nodded as he dreamily thought.
What do you mean? Minwoo was the one who asked now.
Well he used to get his kicked by Beast before he formally joined and became a knight, just like when Beast returned. Junyoung said laughing to which Heechul frowned.
I prefer the term honorably defeated thank you. But I guess defeat is still getting my kicked. You see it was when I first entered Star Empire Academy. They were already in 2nd year and I was a freshman. The clan was halfway there or probably already this size ranging from seniors to freshman. The rumors I knew of Beast back then was not the chivalrous ones just as what Junyoung told. I heard from people then that he was ruthless, merciless and cold-blooded though the police can’t seem to tie him to a case. I never knew that those people were the enemies therefore justifying his behavior. You see, I grew up in a dojo and I was a er for justice that time. My father owns it and was the teacher there. One of his teachings is to never bully a weak. Bullying a weak makes you look weaker because you pick on them to make you feel stronger. So the moment I entered SE and saw Beast having his entourage of bowing members I started to hate him. I thought that he needs s bowing to make him look powerful. I never thought that those people did that in respect to what he did and was not forced. So I started challenging him. Everytime we fought he never showed any mercy and as a martial artist giving your best to a fight is showing respect to your opponent. I started having second thoughts about his personality. Then one day he was curious why I don’t give up on challenging him. Then I said my thoughts about him acting high and mighty and my plan to punish him by challenging him and winning someday. After hearing it he just laughed even the members too laughed so I got ticked and just charged towards him in righteous anger. I was defeated again.
That was the fastest knockdown I ever saw Beast do. Junyoung said chuckling as he remembers it.
Shaddap! Heechul said as Junyoung raised his hands.
Anyways he came in front of my hurt body and said to me “Does it never occur to you to ask them if it was real?” in a kind tone. Then he ordered Junyoung to bring me to the infirmary. There he cleared Beast’s name by providing the facts. After the explanations and a dozen close-open mouthed stare, you remember what you told me back then? Heechul asked Junyoung.
Of course. I said welcome to the clan Chullie. Junyoung said in a wide grin.
You forgot the next ones. You said “It’s not for you to reject Chullie. You’re one of ours now whether you like it or not.”
So you became the knight then? Hyungshik asked.
Not yet. It was when my father got involved with the black men. He tried to protect their target got a beating and escaped. My father told me what happened and I happened to tell it to Beast. Then one day my father disappeared, our dojo thrashed and a note saying my father’s dead. I raided the black men’s headquarters to see my dad on a chair bloodied from being punched and kicked mercilessly. Beast soon came after with Ice Prince and Junyoung with some experienced fighters. They would have killed my father, dumped him inside a container filled with cement and thrown into the Han River. Some days after the fight he asked me at the bedside of my father in the hospital, “What would you do if you saw what your father saw?” I told him even if I die I would protect that person. It was then that I was made the 2nd knight in charge of security of course with my father knowing. After he left my father was staring at the door with bright eyes.
He’s a good leader that kid. Follow him well. My father said.
