Minjee’s POV

Daehyun dragged me outside to a nearby park, sitting down at a bench, he tapped the spot next to him.

“Sit.”

I huffed and dramatically sat down next to him.

“Whyyyyyyy do you have to bring me out so late at night it’s so annoying,” I whined, kicking my legs around.

“Like a child,” Daehyun said with a frown.

I glared at him, “What do you want Daehyun?”
“Why are you pretending to be Jinho’s girlfriend?” he asked casually.

“What?” I asked shocked.

Daehyun turned to look at me, “I said, why are you pretending?”

I groaned and put my head in my hands,

“Hyunwoo said something didn’t he?”

“Yep, although now that I think of it, it was fairly obvious.” He said, thinking about the past events.

“Then how come you didn’t figure it out?” I challenged.

“You didn’t answer my question.”

I sighed and then went on to explain everything.

“So let me just recap,” Daehyun started, “you are pretending to be Jinho’s girlfriend because he is scared of his father and he doesn’t want him to find out the truth?”
“And Zelo,” I added.

“I see.”
“Daehyun you can’t say anything, please,” I looked at him with pleading eyes, “It’s not hurting anyone and it is a big deal for Jinho, he’s constantly worried about what his family thinks of him.”

“Ok.” He said.

“Ok?”

“Why are you so surprised?”

“I was expecting you to tease me or make me do something to keep it a secret.”
“Hey I’m not that mean!” Daehyun retorted, slightly offended.

I laughed and shoved him, “Of course not, it’s just an opportunity missed, I would’ve done it.”

“Damn, you’re right” he admitted, disappointed at his lack of thought.

“No I understand it’s a big deal and I respect that,” he said.

“You know Daehyun, you’re a pretty good kid.” I said, getting up.

“Kid? I’m the same age as you!” he pouted.

“You pout and whine like a kid,” I pointed out before walking off.

“HEY!” he shouted, jogging to catch up, “well you’re a kid too!”

I scoffed, “I am NOT a kid,” I rebutted.

“SWINGSSSSSS” I yelled out as I saw a playground come into view, forgetting what I had just told Daehyun.

Daehyun’s POV

Was she serious?

Swings?

She literally just told me she wasn’t a kid.

I shook my head in disbelief.

She ran up to the swings, way too excited.

“PUSH ME DAEDAE PUSH ME!”

“Daedae?” I asked as I approached her.

“I think it suits you, it’s cute.”

“So you think I’m cute aye?” I leaned in close to her face and winked.

She scoffed and pushed me away, “I said the name is cute, not you, now shush and push me.”

I pushed her on the swing and before I knew it I joined in the fun. We spent who-knows-how-long on the playground, running around and pushing each other.

At the end we lied down on the grass, smiling like idiots and panting.

“You’re such a kid,” I laughed and poked her.

She turned over and stuck out her tongue, Dang she is cute.

I turned away and coughed, “The stars are pretty,” I said, changing the subject.

“They are,” Minjee agreed.

But not as pretty as you.

Daehyun what are you thinking?

I groaned and smacked myself, Minjee looked at my confused.

Well at least she’s single now right? Maybe I actually have a chance.

Minjee’s POV

Later on I was in bed with Jinho, who was still teasing me for being home so late with Daehyun.

“What did you two do? Did you have fun? All alone in the middle of the night, how romantic!” he made kissy faces at me.

WHACK.

“Would you please shut up and answer MY question.”
“Owwwwww, you’re going to give me brain damage one day,” Jinho said as he rubbed his head.

I gave him a stern look.

“Ok, ok, to answer your question, Hyunwoo is good,” he said, “He’s staying with his father for a while here in Korea.”

“And what did YOU two do alone all night? Did YOU have fun?” I started making kissy faces.

Jinho just went super red.

“EWWWWWWW TMI” I laughed, “your face says it all Jinho.”

“I am not one to kiss and tell,” he mumbled.

“So are you sure Daehyun will keep the secret?” he asked.

“I’m pretty sure, he seemed honest, no other intentions.”
“He’s probably happy about it actually.”
“why?”

“Because now you are single, and he can make his move.”

“There are no moves to make, I don’t know what you’re on about woman, now be quiet and go to sleep its almost dawn,” I said, rolling over to sleep.

Is he really going to make a move?
