“I’M A LONER I’M A LONERRRRRR” sang a slightly drunk Eun Hyuk, who placed the mic directly on his lips.

 

His girlfriend on the other hand, was completely sober and sighing.

 

She knew this wasn’t going to end well.

 

Exo had gathered into their family’s private karaoke theatre room where most of their older brothers and sisters had either passed out or gotten drunk.

 

“Oh brother,” Sulli slapped her forehead.

 

“You can say that again,” Luna sipped her martini.

 

Exo and F(x) were the only ones who were still sober, not including Victoria.

 

She and Zhou Mi were the first ones to get wasted, sad to say.

 

“Oh sister,” Kai grinned instead.

 

Luna and Sulli laughed and playfully slapped their brother on the shoulder.

 

“So, how’s that AMAZING girlfriend of yours?” Sulli asked him, emphasizing on amazing.

 

“She’s…….” Kai tried to come up with an explanation.

 

Everybody in F(x) knew about Exo’s girlfriend.

 

Eun Mi was such a big secret that not even their mothers knew.

 

“YOU HAVE A GIRLFRIEND?!” Zhou Mi exclaimed.

 

“EH?!” their other brothers and sisters snapped back to their senses.

 

“I guess the jigs up…” Amber said.

 

Kai sighed and ran a hand through his hair.

 

“Yeah,” he confirmed.

 

“WHOOO!” Kyuhyun hollered.

 

“Yeah you go Kai!” Hyoyeon yelled.

 

“What about the rest of you guys?” Henry pointed to the rest of Exo.

 

They all nodded.

 

His eyes widened.

 

“YOU ALL HAVE GIRLFRIENDS?!” he asked.

 

One by one, each member of Exo held up one finger.

 

“Well I can kind of figure by myself that you’d only have one girlfriend,” Henry shot back.

 

“Noooooo you pabo~” giggled Victoria.

 

“What do you mean no you drunk?” Yesung sat his sister down.

 

“-hiccup- They -hiccup- all have -hiccup- one girlfriend -hiccup-” she told them, holding up a crooked finger.

 

“Well we know that!” Siwan exclaimed.

 

“Geu geo aninde!” (That’s not it!) Victoria slurred.

 

Krystal facepalmed.

 

“What unnie’s trying to say, is that, ALL of Exo, has ONE girlfriend,” Krystal explained.

 

“Wait, do you mean, they, ALL share ONE girl?” Ryeowook spit out his club soda.

 

Exo reluctantly nodded.

 

Onew spit out his chicken.

 

Key looked up from his camera with wide eyes.

 

Jonghyun silently held the mic to his lips and turned to face his younger brothers.

 

Victoria and the rest of F(x) cackled.

 

Hyoyeon dropped her wine glass.

 

Jessica spit out her orange juice.

 

Changmin choked on his beer.

 

“WHAT?!” they all exclaimed.

 

“Yeahh,” Suho replied, scratching the back of his head.

 

“Why didn’t you tell us?!” Taemin asked, slightly angry.

 

“Dad wouldn’t let us,” Xiumin quietly said.

 

“What does dad have to do with your girlfriend?” Sunny replied.

 

“Everything,” Chanyeol piped up, swishing his wine around in his wine glass.

 

They knew that their dad had control of everything.

 

It was as if he were playing a game of God where he was able to choose between life and death for anyone and everyone.

 

Nobody dared disobey him.

 

“So!  What kind of girl is she?”  Yoona excitedly asked.

 

Exo bitterly grinned.

 

“We’d be happy to tell you,” Kris said in a soft voice, unlike that of his leader voice.

 

It was gentle and loving.

 

“She’s beautiful,” D.O. said with love filled eyes as he stared down at the mic in his hand.

 

Suho, Chanyeol, Luhan and Tao nodded.

 

“She has the brightest eyes that curl up like Chanyeol’s, but they’re even cuter on her,” chuckled Lay.

 

“Hey!” pouted Chanyeol.

 

They all laughed but the girls urged them to continue.

 

“She has the prettiest lips that always stretch into the cutest grins I’ve ever seen,” Luhan said, smitten just thinking about it.

 

The girls all cooed.

 

The guys pretended to barf.

 

Then the girls hit the guys, telling them to shut up and listen.

 

“She has the most soft and wonderful smelling chestnut brown hair in the world,” piped up Chen.

 

“Okay now that’s getting a little too creepy for our tastes,” Ryeowook chuckled.

 

The others laughed.

 

“Moving on!  What kind of person was she like?” Siwan asked.

 

Kris moved to speak but Minho stopped him.

 

“Now, please.  The truth please.  Don’t tell us all this ‘how amazing my girlfriend’ crap.  What kind of person is she?” Minho told the boys straight up.

 

Kris smiled and nodded.

 

“There’s really no need to lie about how amazing of a person she is.” Kris began.

 

The boys groaned and slid in their seats.

 

The girls let out an ‘aww.’

 

“It’s true!” Xiumin said.

 

His sisters smiled and urged him to continue.

 

Exo began to tell of Eun Mi’s tale.

 

All her little quirks and pet peeves.

 

All of her cute little nose scrunches and random hugging sprees.

 

All of her adorable actions that she does.

 

All of her cute little songs that she made up when she was bored.

 

All that she is and was.

 

Exo began to tell of Eun Mi’s tale, her past.

 

There was no longer a present or future.

At the end of the night, Exo had poured in all the love and compliments they could possibly have to say about Eun Mi, all except for Sehun.

 

“Sehun-ah,” Amber called out to him.

 

“Hm?” Sehun looked up from his phone.

 

“Don’t you have anything you want to say about your girlfriend?” Luna smiled at her little brother.

 

“Yeah!  Your brothers all said something except for you!” Seoyoung exclaimed.

 

“Yeah, even Baekhyun said something!  And he really hates talking to us,” Jonghyun pointed to the younger.

 

“W-wha- I don’t hate you guys,” Baekhyun said in a soft voice.

 

“Sureee,” they replied with doubt.

 

Sehun sat up straight in his seat and straightened his already straight tie once more for the nth time that night.

 

He cleared his throat.

 

His older sisters giggled at how serious their little brother was.

 

“What the hyungs said…” he began, “is all true.  There is not a single piece of word that I would want to change because that’s just how amazing Eun Mi is.”

 

“Was, how amazing Eun Mi was,” Sehun corrected himself.

 

His siblings were once again bewildered.

 

Before they could even ask, Sehun flat out said the harsh truth that Exo could not and did not want to face.

 

“She’s dead.  We killed her.” he said with the most solemn expression, but within the depths of his eyes, you could see the pain and heartbreak that was hidden behind

guarded walls.

 

Xiumin retreated further into his seat and clutched his head at those words.

 

Lay’s smile and cute dimple faded into a serious face.

 

Kai coughed into his fist and looked away.

 

Luhan’s hands balled into fists, his eyes blazing with hurt and anger.

 

D.O. sighed, grabbing a beer off the table and chugging it down.

 

Chanyeol’s million dollar smile and crinkly eyes filled with excitement were replaced with a frown and dark charcoal black eyes.

 

Baekhyun’s solemn face returned.

 

Tao buried his face in his hands.

 

Chen’s eyes stared off into space with a gentle hand on his heart.

 

Suho and Kris’s eyes hardened.

 

“Sehun, enough,” Suho said to his little brother.

 

“Not tonight, you can do this at home, but not tonight.  It’s a family celebration,” Suho reminded him.

 

Sehun let out an angry sigh and slumped back into his seat.

 

He dug out his earphones from his pocket and plugged them in, hoping it could help drown out everything.

So the party continued.

 

Not as merrily as they believed it would be, but nonetheless it was still festive.

 

But for Exo, not as much.

 

Reality filled their heads.

 

Suho began to consume all the alcohol they had left.

 

Which wasn’t much anyways because his older brothers and sisters had already chugged down most of it.

 

But Suho wasn’t a heavy drinker, so it didn’t take much to get him drunk.

 

Xiumin hid in the darker corner of the room with blank eyes as he watched the others interact.

 

Chanyeol and Baekhyun left to go explore the sculpture garden as they did before when they were children.

 

Kai and Lay disappeared into the dance room.

 

Luhan played with his necklace and bracelet, day dreaming, shutting out reality.

 

D.O. and Chen sang as much as they could to distract themselves.

 

Tao chatted with his sisters about the latest Michael Kors bags.

 

Kris decided to go visit their built in dome that was used when vampires became of age and learned to control their powers.

Suffice to say, Christmas was going to be anything but happy for Exo.
