Kacie's POV 

"Akaysha! Your home!" My mother senna says as she runs up and hugs me, grandma Korra named her after her own mother, 

"yeah," I say smiling "and it's Kacie, not Akaysha" 

"right, sorry, your dad wants to see you" 

my dad, Jong, is the chief of the southern water tribe, 

my mother leads the rest of us into our home, 

"Kacie, I gotta go see my family" Dongjin says excitedly 

"fine," I say "I get to see my family it's only fair that you get to see yours" and he runs off 

my mum has a massive smile on her face as she leads me into the house, and my dads there... Holding a baby... My mouth hangs open in shock

"Kacie, meet your brother Ataneq" 

aki squeals behind me "oh he's so cute!!!! Can I hold him, I promise ill be careful, i am an Airbender after all" 

"when did this happen?" I ask 

"well you see..." 

"I don't want to know!" 

"Aren't you happy, I thought you hated being an only child"

"I did... But..." My mother takes Ataneq out of my dads arms And mouths a sorry to Aki before giving him to me, I fumble for a minute then I hear him laugh, the sweetest noise in the world, he reaches out for my nose and squishes it and I realise, he's special, his eyes are a palish purple and his hair is a light blond... "What happend?" I ask 

"he was born paralysed from the shoulder down so we asked the sun and sea spirit to help him, unfortunately, though he is alive, he will grow 10 times the speed of a normal baby, which means he'd only live 10 years maximum, the help from both spirits turned his hair blond and his eyes purple." My mother starts to sob and I comfort her because its Hard for our family 

"so, how old would he be next year"

"around 10" my dad says

"you must take him with you, because we don't know if hell grow slowly or if he'll wake up tomorrow aged 10 and stay ten for the next year"

"Yes I will, but he needs a more common name?"

"what about Samuel," Hansol asks

"yeah! That's a great name!"

"and don't forget, he has fire and water bending powers."
