That Day

"I got'chu, I got'chu." he winked and helped you get your balance back.

"...Thanks..." you smiled and continued to walk. For some reason, you felt this awkward-ness between you and him. It wasn't the first-time-meeting-someone awkward-ness, it was something different. It made you feel uncomfortable and nervous, for some reason. On the other side, Daehyun was acting normal. He took out his phone and scrolled through some list. You tried to peek, but he turned it off. You started to feel this un-easiness and you felt trapped. You wondered if you were sick or something, but the feeling went away after a while, so you just let it out of your mind.

"Yah, are we there yet?" You tried to start a conversation.

Daehyun looked up from his phone and peered around,"Uh? Oh , we passed it. Hehe, let's go back."

"WHAT? Urghh, that means I walked extra? HEY COME BACK HERE!" You shouted as he ran off.

"HURRY UP SHIN YOORA, I'M NOT GOING TO BUY YOU FOOD!" Daehyun looked back and laughed. You pouted but ran to him. He was in front of this cute looking cafe with cushioned-chairs. You scanned the place and noticed the tasty smells coming from inside the cafe. The waitress took the two of you to a window table with yellow cushioned chairs. You turned to your right and he smiled at you. You smiled back. You wondered if he asked the waitress to get us the table with the yellow cushioned chairs. Yellow was your favorite color. Nah. You sat down and looked around the cafe for the colors of the cushions, this table was the only one with the yellow cushions. You smiled to yourself and looked up to see him on his phone again. He was smiling. Your smile immediately disappeared and was replaced with a frown.

"Yah Jung Daehyun, what are we going to eat?" You tried to get his attention by talking about food. He quickly put his phone away and looked at the menu.

"Hmmm, I heard that the Strawberry Swirl Cheesecake tastes good here. Ooh, I think I want some ice cream too. Wait, they don't have ice cream here. Yoora, let's go get ice cream after this okay? Please? I really want ice cream." He started to beam and you couldn't help but laugh. *Such a kid*

"What should I get?" You peered at the menu and noticed this one dessert that caught your eye.

"Strawberry Banana Cream Crepe!" the two of you both said at the same time. You looked up and the both of you started to laugh. He called the waitress from before and ordered our food. She took our orders and walked away. Now, it was the hard part, waiting and having to talk about something. You were in deep thought about how to start up a conversation, but your mind went blank. You looked at him and saw that he was just looking out the window. He looked bored. *Urgh, what to do. He's getting bored. Dammit, why can't I think of anything to say* you started to get frustrated and nervous.

"Hey, are you going to Summer School?" you looked up and sighed that he had to start the conversation, again, like always.

"Of course! Are you?" *I hope he goes* you smiled and asked him.

"Yeah, I guess. My brother's telling me to go. Is it fun?" he shrugged.

"Yup! The teacher's are really nice, you go on field trips every week, there's not that much work, and *there's a lot of hot oppas there LOL what am I thinking* the food tastes good." his eyes twinkled at the sound of food.

"Okay, I'll go!" At that moment, the food came out and you guys began to eat. Nothing was said as you guys ate. Only the real food lovers know this. When you eat, you don't talk, if you talk then the food starts to not be as interesting and you begin to let the food become forgotten. At last, when you guys were almost done with your desserts, he spoke up.

"I think my brother already signed me up and turned in the application." he said when your eyes made contact with his.

"Oh really? That's good, haha. It starts next week, you know that right?" you asked as he nodded and you smiled to yourself. *yay. I'm going to be seeing him the whole summer*

9:29 PM That night at home

You went to your room after showering and checked your phone. You were surprised as you saw 16 message alerts from your best friend, Lee Soojung. *Oh my, the spam again* You checked the messages and this is what it said.

"Yoora yah, I think someone is at the door, can you get it? I'm in a game." Minhyuk called you from the living room.

*oh my, she's really here*

You got up and went to the door. When you opened it, you saw Soojung in her pink pajamas with a bag full of chips in her arms. She let herself in and went straight to your room. She practically sprinted it. *weird girl*

"When did Soojung get in?" your brother asked you as he scrambled into his room for a shirt. He was topless.

"No wonder, wear your shirt sometimes." you chuckled. You went to the kitchen and opened the refrigerater, looking for some water. You took out the smallest water-jug-thing, but felt too lazy to get the cup from on top of the cupboard so just drank straight out of it. It's okay, you normally do this. You took it and then walked to your room and found Soojung plopped on your bed opening a bag of chips. You went to your laptop and logged in. Your password was daedae. Daehyun changed the password last time when you two were at the library working on a project. You always told yourself to change it, but kept on forgetting. It's been almost over an year now.

"So, you still like Jaehyun?" you faced her and burst out laughing at her state. She was stuffing her face with food and smiling like a little girl.

"I think so. He's so good looking." she giggled and stop stuffing her face,"He's just so charming and nice." You gagged and tried to remember Jaehyun's face.

"I don't even remember his face, how do you still like him?" you asked as you searched his name on facebook. He popped up and you looked through his profile. He was pretty good looking compared to the guys that you knew. The only bad thing was that he was fairly dark for a korean, but he was still okay. Soojung noticed Jaehyun's face on the laptop screen and rushed over.

"Isn't he so good looking?!" she started to jump around. *this girl has gone crazy*

"He's pretty good looking, but- wait, DANG HIS EYES LOOK LIKE LEE MIN HO'S EYES." you zoomed into his eyes to get a better look.

"You're right! No wonder he's so good looking!" She beamed at you and went back to fangirling over Jaehyun.

"Hey, dude today I went out with Daehyun and I got this weird feeling." you moved to the bed and laid down.

"Huh? What kind of weird feeling?" she was still looking through his profile, but was listening to you.

"I don't know. So, you see we were walking on the street and I didn't notice this step and I almost tripped, but he caught me. and he said I got'chu twice. I don't know...and after that I got that weird feeling and it was kind of awkward between us. Well, he wasn't awkward, but I was. " you blurted out.

"Yoora, I think you like him." she plopped on the bed with you.

"What. nahh~..." you said half-heartedly, but ended up over-thinking it. *do i? do i like daehyun? he's pretty okay looking~ haha, man what am i thinking. he's your best friend. Yoora, what are you thinking*

"No, really. Hey, you guys match!" she lightly slapped your arm.

"He's my friend!" you said without certainty. Soojung has a girl's instinct thing. She can tell when a girl likes someone. You don't know how she does it, but she just does. You have to trust her. Afterall, she guessed all your crushes ever since the two of you met before you even knew. You remembered your first impression of Daehyun.

First day of middle school at MS, 2007

"Let's look around the school!" Soojung said as she pulled you up from the bench.

"Urghh, I'm tired and I hate this school." you grunted. You actually wanted to go to this other school with your brother, MHS.

"Come on~ Don't be so grumpy on the first day of school." she smiled and pouted slightly so you couldn't help but get dragged by her. The two of you walked around the whole school. You thought you were dying until you saw him.

You guys were in the main building and decided to just sit outside on the benches there until school started. You would've fell asleep if it wasn't for Soojung's non-stop talking.

"Aren't you excited? Omg that oppa is pretty good looking- aww that unnie's got him. OH , that guys good looking. Dude, he's your type." she patted you and you couldn't help but look up. He was really good looking. He wasn't like the other guys that you saw at school, he had a playful smile and his laugh was just wonderful. You started to smile.

"Hey, are you in love already?" Soojung jokingly said.

"No~" you said, but you ended up peeking at him once more before he entered the building.

"Soojung, let's go in now, the bell's going to ring soon." you were smiling and linked arms with her as she stood up. Really, you wanted to see where his homeroom was.

End of flashback

Ever since that day, you had a small crush on him.However, now, he was your best friend and you didn't want to ruin that friendship with a small crush. However, Daehyun was different from your other crushes. Your other crushes only lasted for a while and then completely left, but Daehyun never once left. He was still in the back of your heart, waiting for you to remember that little crush that's been there for almost 3 years now.

You wondered as Soojung blabbed on about you and Daehyun. *Is it possible? Is Daehyun my first love?*
