The hall was restless and cheerful . The warm shades of lavender and dusky rose were accentuated with hues of champagne and bling . At the destined point of the altar stood a man who had waited far too long to forge an everlasting bond with the One. 

Seulong wasn’t nervous today, never had he shied away from making sure she was loved. He scanned the crowd , who seemed to imbibe his restlessness in their own emotions and wait for the bride to make her grand entry.

He whipped his head to his left, and there he was – his favourite dongsaeng, the one who he could really turn gay for  .

His best man was instructing the band for the umpteenth time , making sure that the cue music was nothing short of a perfection.  Well maybe he was aiming for angels to sing!

Smiling, he twiddled with his engagement ring , when he heard a furious clatter of heels.

Speaking of angels, he heard a clatter of heels and reflexively he turned to find the source of the sound.

He whipped his head to the right and saw his sister in law walk with hurried steps  towards the best man. Following her footsteps he turned his face towards the person she was walking to. She must be urgent because  she whispered something in his ears as soon as he was in her earshot , and judging by the blush spread through his cheeks, he must have loved her words ! When he finished watching and giving her the goo goo eyes, he replied in short words and sent her off- with a smack on her backside.

Ok what?

Seulong couldn’t take the romantic exchange anymore. Even if he was in love, he definitely was feeling queasy with what he witnessed earlier. He decided to do what everyone was expertly participating in these days – Teasing the YongSeo couple down to their bones.

‘’Yonghwa,  are you up for a double wedding?’’

Yonghwa who had been looking at the music sheets for the last time, was suddenly startled at the sudden question.

‘’Why? Are you finally getting cold feet? You need some company bro?’’  , He asked without looking at the groom’s face.

‘’My company is said to be arriving in ten minutes, I believe your company just relayed that to you as well. Or were you busy chatting about something absolutely off the chart?’’  , Seulong asked with a poker face, emphasising on the importance of company.

That did it.

Who said women were the only one who blushed?

Aigoo, men who were hopelessly in love , the kind who suffered from goo goo puppy eyes- those were the kind who were susceptible to incessant blushing , colouring of cheeks or extreme smile lines.

Jung Yonghwa was finally grossing me out.

At first I thought it was cute, and  trust me it was.

Him finally smiling , even volunteering to accompany to the idiotic fittings and wedding arrangements, but even then I couldn’t help but notice that something was awfully wierd about him. From humming random tunes ( which is okay, he is a musician) , to look around at couples with this inspired beam in his eyes ( couples tend to be competitive ) and even (secretly not so secretly) looking at couple rings instead of looking at wedding bands. He even improvised saying that he thought the couple rings as wedding bands.

Lame Yonghwa!

But yeah, I guess couple rings and wedding bands do look alike?

Right?

If this is wrong, I might die in the hands of my soon to be Mrs Im.

Anyways!

But when I found a saved draft of what seemed like a sappy love ballad, Yeah..  I knew the love sick puppy days were back in the building. Not that the man was to be blamed, he had waited for 8 years to finally claim this woman as his own.

But my only request to Cupid is – PLEASE LET MEN REMAIN MEN AND NOT WIERD THEM OUT WITH LOVE HORMONES.

Okay Calm down Im Seulong! Weren’t you the same in your time?

The gorgeous sunsets I shared with my lovely, those exciting (read amusing ) evenings when she would offer to cook a dinner for two , the excitement dying when Jinwoon and JoKwon would act like classic ers and interrupt his time with his girlfriend.  There was a particularly memorable date they had gone for which had erupted into a huge scandal, They had decided to watch a drive in movie, but Jessica being the hard headed babo had insisted on driving and while looking at her image in the mirror bumped into another couple’s car while they were.. erm making out.

That was when our dating scandal erupted, and we never denied it.

And after that dreaded press confer-

‘’What are you smiling at? It’s creepy man!’’ , Yonghwa snapped his fingers at the groom.

Snapping his fingers at me now. Yuck, he is becoming like Seohyun.

‘’Yah, I’m just extremely happy. This is exactly what I wanted. I bet you can’t wait to follow’’ . Seulong thumped his fist at Yonghwa’s back and let out a short chuckle when the latter turned extremely pink.

Oh My God! Is he even a manly Busan man anymore?

‘’Yonghwa-ya , Wanna wear your lady’s pink dress now? I swear i havn’t seen your complexion in its normal tint ever since! ‘’

‘’Well, I guess – ‘’ , Yonghwa mumbled.

Truth was, usually the teasing would only affect Seohyun, but this time, the tables had reversed. She was surprisingly cool with all the teasing and he was the one who was getting giddy with all the spazz around him. Just seeing her was a sight . Feeling her hands in his, was his blessing. Feeling her lips on his, was his luck. Which was  daebak! Sometimes he wondered, why would she fall in love with him?  Even he wouldn’t fall in love with himself.

Nah, he totally would.

Oh look , who’s spacing out now? ,  Seulong waved his hands infront of the latter and snapped his fingers in front of his face.

Well, we could be gay like that!

You aren’t the only one who’s allowed to be silly in love , Yonghwa laughed.

Their conversation was  cut short, when Tiffany strutted in her sky high heels and  they saw her instruct all the groomsmen and send them to their respective bridesmaid . She winked at Seulong and blew a kiss at Yonghwa, taking the latter by surprise.

Laughing at his shocked expression, she walked upto them.

Jung Seobang! Why are you so shocked?

‘’Mi Young-ah! What if your sister sees you doing that to her nampyeon?’’ , Seulong elbowed his sister in law.

‘’Both my sisters are extremely cool ladies. And giving love to soshi seobangs is a cardinal rule we must never flout,  you know! ‘’

‘’No matter how cool that Seo Joo Hyun is, she gets extremely green ‘’, Yonghwa shook his head remembering the time she had force fed him eggplants (which he LOATHED) because of a text message from IU. It was an innocent text!

With hearts and xoxo in the end.

But , it was IU.

Anyways the situation had not gotten down well with her.

‘’Oh yeah! Never test the waters when it comes to IU Yong . She hates the woman with a passion’’

‘’Wh-‘’

‘’Okay,  enough chit chat. Do you even want me to get married? Go fetch my bride!’’ , Seulong cut  in and ignored the rolled eyes.

Squeezing Seulong’s shoulder and flashing him a brilliant smile, Yonghwa and Tiffany went to find their respective people.

Not sure how to approach the final ladder in his plan, he typed a message to Jessica and pressed sent.

I need to talk to you. It’s about Seohyun.

He waited with crossed fingers, hoping she wasn’t surrounded by giggling women and was near her phone.  3 minutes later, he suddenly felt relieved when she texted him back.

Okay,come up and avoid the main elevator. My bridesmaids are slightly drunk.

Chuckling, he made his way to the bridal suite, avoiding the bridesmaids and knocked at the door.

No one has enjoyed this wedding more than the bridesmaids.

Peeking in, he saw a princess. Clad in white, and shimmering in diamonds.

His hyung was a lucky man!

‘’Well you sure are beautiful hyungsoonim!’’

She turned around,  blushing at the term which she hadn’t gotten used to.

‘’And look at you all debonair!’’ , laughing good naturedly .

He took out a box of sapphire drops hairpin and held it out to her. She took the box and stared at him in amusement.

''Well that's something blue for you'' , it's mine and Seohyun's another present for you..Ermm It's for the hair''.

No matter how many reservations she had with Yonghwa, she couldn’t help but feel the warm vibes from him whenever he was around. 

She fixed them on her elaborate curls and twirled around to show them off. Yonghwa who couldn't help but laugh at her, held her hand so she woudn't fall. Over the years of his association with these girl, he had forged a comfortable siblingship with her and Soo Jung.

‘’I swear Seulong doesn’t even look half of awesome as you do girl! ‘’

*giggle* ‘’That’s okay, less chances of anyone hitting on him besides me’’ , she glided over to the couch ,’’ so spill, what did you want to talk about?’’

‘’Oh, i’m not sure if you know but-‘’

‘’Are you proposing to her? Already? It’s been just 4 days Yonghwa chingu’’

Yonghwa gave her a toothy smile at the endearment.

‘’No, I’m not proposing to her. It’s too soon to ask her to marry me. I don’t even know if that’s what we both want’’ .

‘’Well, then? What do you want?’’

‘’I want her’’ .

‘’Tsk, what a clichéd answer!’’

‘’Listen’’.

‘’I’m not following you’’

‘’I will eventually marry her.  I love her and it’s going to last for a lifetime-‘’

‘’I honestly don’t know how my younger sisters could fall in love so easily. They are so darn young-‘’

‘’They aren’t exactly young Sica! And my poin-‘’

‘’The point is, I am scared for the both of them. I love them dearly and have been the one to hold them when they were crying because of you and Minhyuk. I can’t stand their pain if they again fall down with no one to hold them’’

‘’Whoa bridezilla! Calm down, now listen to me’’ .

She narrowed her eyes at him.

‘’Pretty please?’’

 He gave her another one of his winning smiles,  that females could not resist.

It worked apparently, because he saw her features relax into the arrogant blankness she was known for.

‘’Go on!’’

‘’I will marry her-

‘’When?’’

‘’ Listen.  I will marry her when the time is right for the both of us. We have missed out on a decade worth of memories , and we both deserve to court and date each other properly. She is all i want, and will always want her to be with me when i wake up in mornings. She is The One and this time I don’t want to mess it up. When she cried 6 years back, I cried harder. I felt like life was slipping out of my hands. When she smiles, I feel giddy with love. She deserves all the love and all the firsts and I want to be the one who gives her all of that . Her- Huh, Why are you crying?-‘’

Jessica quickly dabbed the moisture around her eyes , sniffling slightly she looked at him with stern eyes.

‘’I couldn’t help it. My hormones are swishing about as it is, and you being all sweet and devoted doesn’t help’’

‘’Why is every soshi member so emotionally dysfunctional? Well except your maknae’’

‘’Yah!’’

*chuckle* ‘’ Okay, listen to what I’m going to tell you now ‘’.

‘’Yeah, it’s not like i can escape you in your persistent lover mode. Speaking of persistent lovers, please restrain your drummer from being too clingy to my Krystal! The guy keeps on kissing her and tickling her. It’s awkward to watch my sister turning red all the time. And for the wrong reasons’’

‘’Err, their love is clingy like that, can’t be helped. Atleast we can’t handle a grumpy Minhyuk again, but yeah okay, I’ll protect Krystal from his extreme hormones at all times.’’

‘’good, you have my consent then. Tell me the plan’’

He told her everything,  watching how her eyes widened at every word and then how she hid her surprise. In the end, by the time he was finished, he saw pride in her eyes.

‘’So is this good? Do I have your blessings?

‘’Oh you! Come here Yonghwa chingu. You big warm ball of love!’’

‘’ Damn girl! At this rate you are going to melt. That Ice Princess thing you boast of will be over ’’ .

‘’Shut up’’

The wedding march began, after the ring bearer and the flower girl did their parts, the bridesmaids made their way to the altar, being escorted by their respective groomsmen. Lastly, the Maid(s) of Honour entered. Firstly Tiffany entered with Kris , then Krystal entered with Minhyuk , followed by Seohyun and Yonghwa. The three couples felt like they were the ones getting married. Because Seulong ,  asked them to walk faster and let Jessica  enter finally. His impatience was complimented by the guests laughting at him .

‘’Geez, hyung is so embarrassing ‘’ ( Jinwoon )

‘’You have all your life with her, you know!’’ ( Changmin and Nichkhun )

‘’Without wife, no life’’ ( Jo Kwon )

‘’ Don’t cry on my wedding, you punk! I want to see her.’’ ( Seulong )

‘’I just saw her.’’ (Yonghwa stuck his tongue at the groom)

‘’  Oh I bet I just saw Seohyun’s nostrils flaring’’ (Jungshin)

‘’Control your namja Seohyuna, he’s starting to become a choding again!’’ ( Tiffany )

‘’He and Krystal can match each other in silliness’’ ( Sooyoung and Yoona gave each other a hi-five)

‘’Hey!’’ (Krystal)

‘’Don’t compare me with Soo Jung’’ (Yonghwa)

‘’It’s okay honey! I like it that you are silly!’’ (Minhyuk)

‘’Yeah,  can you two keep it low?’’ ( Jonghyun and Sunny )

‘’If you guys are done, can I enter now? ‘’ They heard Jessica’s high pitch through the double doors.

Again, all the guests laughed. It wasn’t just the groom who was impatient to get married.

The orchestra belted out the traditional wedding march, slightly tweaked by Yonghwa and Jonghyun, who’s music now was like angels laughing on a sunny day. Everyone was focussing on the grand double doors which flung open in anticipation and there she was.

The beautiful bride.

Jessica , alongside of her father was walking down the aisle , her beauty mirroring the music . It was almost like whoever she walked past, her aura hushed them, awed them. By the time she lifted her face, her eyes met her groom.

And everything was right in the world.

Her father handed her over to Seulong as per the customs.

Bowing, he took her hand in his, from the old to the new.

‘’Waah, i guess this is real!’’ , Jinwoon loudly whispered.

‘’Do you really want to start this again Jinwoona?’’ (Seulong tightened the grip on Jessica and annoyingly turned to the maknae)

‘’I’ll hold him down. Get married you!’’ , Changmin and Chansung pinned the maknae down to the seat.

Jessica unexpectedly giggled , but stopped when Seulong looked at her.

‘’What? Do you agree with Jinwoon now? ‘’

‘’Oppa! It’s okay’’ , she squeezed his hands gently and assuringly, trying to mollify her groom.

‘’Dearly beloved, today we have gathered here to celebrate the union of two souls, who have promised to love and cherish each other’’ , the minister began his speech oblivious to the fact that all the couples in the room were lost in their reverie, as if imbibing the vows according to their own.

‘’Now we move on to vows, which the couple has written on their own’’.

He gestured to the groom to start first.

Clearing his throat and taking her hand, he started –

‘’ When you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible .  Sooyeona , I met you in the most unexpected of situations, gave my heart to you when I least expected to be loved by you. The woman who’s presence on a world stage left me breathless, has me in disbelief that she’s in my arms now, knowing well that this is me she’s going to spend her life with.  I’m here for you always, sure It's not gonna be easy. It's gonna be really hard. We're gonna have to work at this every day, but I want to do that because I want you. I want all of you, forever, you and me, every day . In sickness and in health, In bad times and good, in the face of all adversity to the best of luxury. It’s going to be you and I , Jung Sooyeon. I love you and will always do.  With this ring, I  thee wed ’’ .

Seulong finished his vows, and slipped the wedding band on her fourth finger with slightly misty eyes, his emotions threatening to spill from his eyes, he looked at the woman besides him. Jessica was overwhelmed, she wanted to break the norm and give himself a hug , but she would have to restrain herself. Scanning the room, she found not a single dry eye. Even the hard headed males were drowned in an emotional spill.  Her sisters were bawling like little puppies. She couldn’t blame them though, but for the love of eye makeup. She decided to perk up her vows.

Taking his hand in hers, she gazed at him and began.

‘’ You are the one who’s shown me what love is. Guaranteed it’s not easy to get me to talk, it’s not easy to calm me down everyday. But you did. You stuck around for the worst and you deserved the best too. We're all a little weird. And life is a little weird.  You are wierd. I am wierd. And when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall into mutually satisfying weirdness — and call it love — true love.  And that’s what we have, we have the license to annoy each and drive each other up the wall for the rest of our lives. When I saw you at 17 years old , I fell in love, and you smiled because you knew that. True! I won’t be cooking breakfast as often, we might not have a lot of time to spend with each other. But , I signed up to love you forever and I want our forever to start now. I love you Im Seulong, thank you for loving me back. With this ring, I thee wed’’.

Jessica took the ring and slipped it into his finger, forging the dawn of a new begining!

Hello! been a long time since I updated this :) So this chapter gave me nightmares, primarily because I wanted the heroes to be SeuSica and not other couples except yongseo, but since it's their wedding.. they deserve the spotlight on them :) so this is why there is no direct YS in this chapter, but the next two chapters are full of ys fluff. trust me on that..my fingers are curled up like tentacles. Ew!

Also, I don't know anything about christian wedding and church weddings, so forgive me if i made any mistakes :)

Not much left in this fiction, maybe a chapter or two and then an epilogue?
