Holding hands. Secret glances. Even when they agreed to keep everything in secret, Jongkook and Jihyo just couldn’t avoid staying together even when they were filming. The couple, even with the so much distraction coming their way, only grew stronger and closer with one another. With individuals having schedules left and right, they always make it a point to see or call each other even if it were just for five minutes.

Once each filming was over, Jihyo and Jongkook would immediately stick together like glue after bowing and thanking the staff and members for a job well done. The usual dinner after filming had a hiatus since most of them would end up real exhausted and would just wish to go home. But the couple, along with Kwangsoo never changed their routine in meeting up and sharing either coffee or dinner together.

As one filming day ended, Jaesuk started to notice the unbreakable bond Jongkook and Jihyo started to have. The last episode with Park Jisung, Jaesuk was starting to get suspicious to why Jongkook let Jihyo win. The older man knew the Commander well and seeing before his very eyes that the competitive man allowed a girl that wasn’t of his liking became something hard to believe.

One meeting held by the Running Man staff, Myuk PD decided to have Jaesuk join in on the gathering. Sitting in a round table, Jo PD started giving out several ideas while flashing some illustrations on the projector. Idea after idea, some original and some from fans were being reviewed and analyzed properly by the team.

“This is the last one we have.” Jo PD said and started showing the illustration. “We’ll be getting three girls and they will become princesses but since we already have Jihyo, we’ll have two female guests to come.” Jo PD looked at his staff then at Jaesuk to see if there would be some violent reaction. But seeing that there is none, he went on. “Each princess will have two body guards and they will d—“

“Yes!”

Everyone faced the Nation’s MC as he shouted with enthusiasm.

“This is what we’ll do.” Jaesuk said with a smile on his face. “Fans like having couples in the show. Look at how famous Monday Couple is now.” The MC justified as he faced the producers and staff.

“Well, I’m not against this idea.” Myuk PD declared. “Any appeal?”

Glancing around each other, the people gathered in the room shook their head and gave their approval to the Production Directors.

With a smile, Jo PD instructed the writers to proceed with the chosen scenario.

After a few more chit chat regarding the next episode, the Production Directors called it day when they saw that the time was already 4pm. Standing from their seats and bidding everyone goodbye, Jaesuk took the chance to talk to Jo PD when everyone has dispersed from the room.

“Jo PD, I have another suggestion for the show.” Jaesuk said as he stood up to walk towards the director.

“Oh? What is it?”

“Why not team Jihyo and Jongkook together?”

The director didn’t quite understand what Jaesuk mean so he asked. “Wae?”

“I’ve been reading some news and comments from our show and most fans wants to see how well Jihyo and Jongkook’s team will be if they were side by side again.” Jaesuk grinned.

Looking at the MC with a serious expression on his face, Jo PD nodded and took his clipboard with him as both men made to exit the room.

“We’ll see okay? We want to keep every expression as real as possible to avoid having useless and nonsense insults thrown at us.” The director explained. “We’re still low on the ratings and we have to find a way how to bring them up.”

Nodding to the explanation of the director, Jaesuk chuckled and patted Jo PD’s back. “We’ll be on top soon. You’ll see.”

With a smile on their faces, the director and the MC bid their goodbyes as they parted ways from the building.

“Please take us.” Jongkook, Sukjin, Jaesuk and Kwangsoo chorused as they knelt before Noh Sayeon to take them as their body guards.

Looking left and right to the four men who want her in their team, Sayeon felt overwhelmed with the choice. But even when Jongkook’s muscles were something that tempted her to choose his group, she still went for Jaesuk and Kwangsoo, assuming that she would be treated nicely and more like a queen than a princess.

Leaving with no choice, Jongkook and Sukjin went out to find Jihyo that was hiding behind a big umbrella. But instead of feeling happy about having her, Jongkook took into acting mode and showed off a dismayed expression for having the Ace in her team.

Putting on the matching yellow shirts, Sukjin felt happy to be with the Commander and the Ace once again in his team. He was assured that with the help of these two that he would win the missions again and again non-stop.  With a smile on his face, he hugged the couple and gave them a cheer after telling them that he was happy to be on the winning team again. The couple, on the other hand, felt grateful that Sukjin sees them that way. Even when they have no idea if what he said was all true, they just pretended that it was and decided to do their best on the show.

With Jongkook carrying Jihyo on his back, the Commander felt so energized into doing all the missions and winning. He wanted that gold ring for Jihyo so bad that if he had to carry both his girlfriend and Sukjin, he would. As the food mission started, Jongkook didn’t stop until they’d win or move closer to the finish line. He was a health conscious guy but he’d eat even things he hates just to win.

When the members and guests were brought over to the second mission place, a swimming pool with mats for them to run on, Jaesuk couldn’t help but observe the behavior of the yellow team for any suspicion between them. But focusing on the couple and on the games was so hard to do for the forty-three year old man. He’d had to look out for Kwangsoo and Sayeon as they did the mission to cross the pool together.

But even when engrossed in the games, the MC had witnessed finally one of the things that he has been waiting for. With Jihyo falling on the water when Sukjin carried her, the Commander immediately got a towel and wrapped it around the woman’s body. Jongkook’s face was full of concern as he caressed the actress’ head and patted her back to soothe the coughing that she was doing. When Jihyo seemed fine and stood up from her sitting position, Jongkook placed his attention next to his hyung, patting his back as well and asking if he were okay.

Jaesuk still didn’t have enough evidence to prove that his speculations were correct but he couldn’t help but feel happy for Jongkook that if his beliefs were true, he’s found himself a good woman to keep. With a smile on his face, Jaesuk decided to just leave his thoughts about the couple alone. While cheering on Kwangsoo and the rest of the guys, he focused back his attention on the game.

As each filming ended, Jaesuk would always see Jongkook and Jihyo stick together like glue and head towards the tent where their stylists would wait for them with fresh clothes. It was never an issue to the other members that the strongest male and female member was so close to each other. But Jaesuk just felt something more between them that somehow, he was dying to know.
