“When?! How?!” Kwangsoo couldn’t hide the excitement of his voice when Jongkook told him the big new about him and Jihyo.

After declaring to themselves that they were indeed a couple, Jongkook and Jihyo couldn’t think about anything else other than whether to tell their Running Man family about the big news. Of course, Kwangsoo was an exception since he was already supportive of them from the start. But the couple wasn’t sure if the rest of the members would feel the same as their young friend.

“What happens after this?”

“What do you mean?” Jongkook asked as he looked up from his brunch that Gapjin had reluctantly brought them.

“I mean do we just go out as a couple or do we do the usual?” Jihyo asked while looking at her boyfriend, a curious look on her face.

“What do you mean ‘the usual’?”

“Well, what do celebrities usually do when they’re in a relationship?” The Ace chuckled as she bit on some bread and took a welcome sip of hr Americano.

“Oh” The Commander said as if he finally figured out what Jihyo meant. “We’ll go with what you want.” He nodded. “If you want a public relationship, it’s okay with me.”

Slowly, a sweet and loving smile kissed Jihyo’s lips as she heard the words her boyfriend had just said. She wasn’t used to how Jongkook could be so open with this kind of matter. She always thought that her ex-best friend was someone reserved when it comes to these types of situations. Standing up from her seat, she moved her chair to position herself beside her lover and gave him a lingering kiss on the lips.

“I love you, Oppa.” She said in a soft voice. “And I want this decision to be made by the both of us.”

Jongkook nodded and smiled at the words of the Ace, returning the kiss that was laid upon him before wrapping and arm around her waist and enjoying their breakfast together.

“It was a two weeks after we filmed that episode with the Ahjusshis.” Jongkook admitted. “I couldn’t stand the idea of not talking to her so I visited her agency.”

“And?” Kwangsoo urged.

Jongkook couldn’t hide his amusement to how eager Kwangsoo was to know the story. “And I saw her, we talked and here we are now.” The Commander finished the tale in a jiff.

“That’s it?” The tall maknae sounded disappointed with his hyung. “No details? Did you kiss? Hu-“

“Ya!” The Tiger roared, his cheeks changing to a tint of pink. “You shouldn’t ask those kinds of things.”

At the sudden reaction of the elder, Kwangsoo couldn’t help but laugh. It wasn’t new to him that his hyung would blush when a girl is involved in a conversation, but it was certainly foreign for him that he was blushing because of Jihyo.

While shaking his head in glee, Kwangsoo gave his hyung a pat on the back. “I’m happy for you, Hyung. For you and for noona.” The maknae said with sincerity etched on his voice. “I know she’s in good hands.”

Jongkook couldn’t help but smile at the encouragement his friend was giving. Even if he was marked as the person you should never trust in the variety world, Jongkook never doubted the younger man when it was off camera.

As the PDs announced that their afternoon break was over, Jongkook and Kwangsoo stood up from the equipment tent and made their way to their vans to get changed for the next mission. It was another survival series and Jongkook felt a bit beat up when every member voted him as the first one to be eliminated. But luckily for his skills and strength, beating the others was a piece of cake.

Before the Commander went over to the filming area, he stopped by the Ace’s van to check if she was still there. Arriving to where her van was, it was as if on cue, she came out of the vehicle, her hair still messed up from her nap. The smile on Jongkook’s face was wide as his eyes came to meet the woman that his heart was beating for. Looking around to check if the coast is clear, Jongkook snuck up on her and startled her as he placed a sudden kiss on the actress’ cheek.

“Ya!” Jihyo shrieked before bursting out into laughter as she saw the man that pecked her cheek. “Ya! Oppa! What if someone saw?”

Jongkook couldn’t help but laugh as well from the woman’s reaction. “I checked. No one is around.” A smile then kissed Jongkook’s lips as he reached out to hold the Jihyo’s hand. “Slept well?” He asked.

Shyly, Jihyo nodded.

Both weren’t still used to the fact that they are already dating. The previous rash and shameless actions now turned into bashful and careful ones. Even when they know almost most about each other, they weren’t too forward with one other just because their friendship has taken a whole new level.

Combing her hair gently with his fingers, Jongkook pressed his lips against Jihyo’s forehead and wore the cap properly on her head. With her arms wrapped around in one of the Commander’s, Jihyo smiled at his gentleness, earning him a soft kiss on his cheek.

“Oppa, saranghae.” Jihyo whispered.

“Nado, Jihyo-ya.”

As a reward from his victory, Jongkook won the privilege to choose which one of the girls he would be partners with. He thought it was a great advantage for Jihyo was the one in his mind. It was a double effect even. He can spend a whole day together with her and win all the challenges since it was already tested and proven that the two of them make one unbeatable team.

Putting on his slippers, Jongkook makes his way out of his quarters and stalks towards Jihyo’s. Thankful enough that most of the members and staff have already fallen asleep, the trip to his lover’s room wasn’t as stressful as he thought it would be. Knocking on the door lightly, Jongkook whispered Jihyo’s name with a smile chiseled on his face. He couldn’t help but do such each time he says or hears the woman’s name. I guess it only goes to show how much he’s in love with her.

At the third knock, a sleepy Jihyo opens the door, surprising Jongkook and making him chuckle at the said.

“Aigoo.. Jihyo-ya. Mianhada..” Jongkook smiled and gave the sleepy woman a hug, before gently lifting her and moving back in her room.

Too sleepy to react, Jihyo just rested her head against the Commander’s chest as he took her back to her sleeping mat. Gently placing her down, Jongkook tucked her back in and slowly ran his fingers through her hair.

“What is it, Oppa?” Jihyo asked sleepily.

“Oh.. I just wanted to ask if you wanted to be partners with me.. you know.. for tomorrow?” Smiling shyly at the woman, Jongkook kept his fingers tangled into Jihyo’s locks when she seemed to show a positive reaction towards the action.
