Get well cards, balloons, flowers and fruit baskets surrounded the actress as she lay in bed. Ever since she was admitted in the hospital, she had only been able to see her visitors twice since her body kept forcing her back to sleep. Sitting on the side and taking care of her was her manager, Subin, who was worried and slightly still angry to the cause of her talent’s admittance.

As afternoon came, the members of Running Man, along with the producers, came by to visit their ace in the hospital. Flowers and alike were bought for her as they looked down on the sleeping woman. Jaesuk, Sukjin and Jo PD were in deep discussion with Jihyo’s manager, asking to what really happened to the actress. Haha and Gary were busily grabbing some of the food that was meant for the actress and Jongkook and Kwangsoo were standing at the side of their best friend, looking at her, concern and worry etched on their faces.

“Did you visit her before leaving for filming?” Kwangsoo asked, soft enough for only him and the Commander to hear.

“I did. I even brought her food for her to eat.” Jongkook said while looking down at Jihyo.

Deep inside, Jongkook couldn’t help but blame himself for Jihyo’s condition. If only he had taken extra care of her, made excuses to not film just to be with her, Jihyo wouldn’t be suffering in the hospital at the moment. Shaking his head, the Commander sighed as his thoughts started eating him, guilt enveloping his whole being. He wanted to hold her hand, kiss her forehead and tell her that everything will be alright because he’s there to take care of her but with the added company in the hospital room, the plan of assuring and making the Ace feel better was a blur for the Commander.

Staying in for more than an hour, Jaesuk told the boys that it was time for them to leave and let Jihyo rest and get well, but just when they were about to head for the door, two eyes were now looking up on slanted ones, leaving the singer a shocked yet happy expression painted on his face.

“Seongim..” Jongkook said softly, his hand quickly caressing her head.

Everybody stopped in their tracks and faced the woman in the gurney, smiles of relief flooding their faces. As they started crowding up around the actress, Kwangsoo was quick enough to nudge Jongkook on his back, making the singer realize his doings and stop before getting noticed by the others.

“Miss Mong.” Jaesuk called. “You made us worry. What happened?”

Jihyo couldn’t say anything but smile, happy to know that her variety family hasn’t forgotten her. Like always, when the group is rounded up and gathered in one place with no presence of cameras, directors, makeup artists and fans, members chattered out with the Ace, making her feel better from her condition. They filled Jihyo with the events of their filming with Girls’ Generation but the actress wasn’t all happy with the thought of Jongkook hanging out with an idol without her around. She knows that the bond between her and the man is still indefinite but she couldn’t help but think that she has claimed the singer. It just wasn’t visible.

When the time for them to leave had come, they all bid their goodbyes to their Ace and told her to get well soon because Running Man was incomplete without her. As the men left the room one by one, Jongkook, the last one to leave, looked back at the actress and pointed at his phone, signaling that he’ll be calling soon. Jihyo nodded, sadness filling her systems as the man closed the door.

Jihyo understood why Jongkook couldn’t stay. The nurses would be curious to why he was there and the paparazzi and press were gathered at the entrance of the hospital that a scandal may occur and jeopardize both of their career life. Laying back on her bed, she looked at her manager and asked for her phone, taking it her hands and hugging it tightly, waiting for the man she loved to call.

It was already 1am when Jongkook had finally arrived back to his apartment. He felt so exhausted from the day’s activities that he immediately made his way to his room, changed his clothes and dropped on his bed. But even when the Commander was tired as a horse, he managed to grab his phone and call the person he missed all day.

“Seongim?” The singer whispered.

“Oppa!” The actress called excitedly.

“How are you, Seongim?” Jongkook asked. A smile etching on his face as he heard the woman speak.

“I’m getting better now. The doctor said that my vital signs are now normal and that I can go home the day after tomorrow.”

“Jinjja? That’s good.” Jongkook grinned. “Maybe I can visit you at your place by then and take care of you. I have no schedules for the week anyway.”

Jihyo couldn’t help but smile at her best friend’s offer. “Ne, Oppa. I’d like that.”
