Plan B
Searching For YouKyuHyun watched through the binoculars he had brought with him at his target. If all went well, and RyeoWook’s brilliant plan succeeded, they should be able to get… leverage. He had gone himself this time, because he wanted, more than anything, for this plan to work.
Best friend of Lee DongHae, the original target. 24 years of age. Works in the same department of F.B.I. as DongHae and on the same case. Known to be skilled in martial arts, but tries to reason before fighting. Is fond of pink and bunnies.
KyuHyun glanced down at the folder before him and the scrap of paper that contained the information he had just read. Interesting facts that RyeoWook considered important somehow. Well, Wookie could be a little weird at times. Kyu supposed this was one of those times.
He emerged from the black panel van when one of the lights flicked off somewhere in the house. Shaking his head at YeSung and RyeoWook who both made to come out after him, most likely to help, he approached the house alone.
He opened the front door silently, stepped in and closed it behind him with a little click. Hopefully this would go as smoothly as he planned. He entered what he thought was the kitchen, where he could see a pair of legs behind the open door of the refrigerator. Standing at the side of it, he held his breath and waited until his target closed the door.
A knife swung at his head, and he barely managed to duck. Executing a quick back flip, he met the fiery eyes of his target, who was armed with a knife in either hand.
Lee SungMin.
“For once, someone manages to surprise me,” KyuHyun said snidely, matching his target step for step.
“Who are you, and what do you want?” SungMin asked, circling around the table holding both knives in front of him in case he needed to attack quickly.
“You know, in your information folder, it said you talk before attacking,” Kyu said casually, while taking small steps backward.
“Not with someone who breaks into my house without me even hearing them,” SungMin snarled, taking another step forward.
“That’s the thing. I made no noise. How did you know I was here?” KyuHyun asked, as he walked carefully back again, and hit against the counter. Bingo, he thought.
“One minute there was breathing next to me, next minute there wasn’t. only a human could do that, so I knew,” SungMin said, edging forward again.
KyuHyun slid his hands onto the counter behind him and found what he was looking for. A knife. He picked it up, mentally cursing himself for not bringing a weapon of his own.
“Come on SungMin, let’s just go quietly and no one has to get hurt,” KyuHyun tried to reason with the investigator.
“There’s only one person who’s gonna get hurt today, and that’s you,” SungMin said, lunging at KyuHyun with both knives ready. KyuHyun dodged him easily (he wasn’t the leader of a mafia group for no reason) and SungMin fell. Kyu kicked both knives from his target’s hands before gripping him by the shirt and dragging him to his feet again.
Outside, YeSung and RyeoWook kept watch with two pairs of binoculars. They looked on calmly as SungMin and Kyu circled each other, both looking for the opening to attack.
“Are you sure Kyu won’t get hurt? I mean, SungMin is trained in martial arts, you know,” RyeoWook asked, getting slightly nervous as the seconds ticked by without action.
“Kyu’s the best. He
