Half Truth
Searching For You“Nothing.”
“You’re lying.”
“I’m not.”
KyuHyun’s eyes narrowed at this word. He knew RyeoWook was lying. The boy was a damn bad liar.
“Just tell me Wookie, I won’t till you. You didn’t hurt him so why are you afraid?” KyuHyun pressured.
“That’s the thing… I may have accidentally locked him up in your basement to keep him away from you…”
“WHAT?” KyuHyun exclaimed, “Are you insane?”
“No! You are! You have feelings for him Kyu! Feelings that could affect your whole plan!” RyeoWook shouted, following his leader as he hurried down to the basement.
“It’s not his fault!! Why would you lock him up?” Kyu replied heatedly, reaching the basement. He fumbled with the lock on the door, shoving it open roughly and striding it. His heart broke at the sight of SungMin lying on a thin mattress, curled up, in a cell.
“And you put him in a cell?!” Kyu was clearly furious. RyeoWook though it best to stay silent for the while. He watched as KyuHyun decoded the cell and rushed inside.
“SungMin,” Kyu called quietly, taking the unconscious figure into his arms. He shook him gently, afraid for his condition.
“Mm…” SungMin did not want to wake up. His dream was a good one. One where he and DongHae were safe again, and strangely enough, Kyu was at his side.
“SungMin, please open your eyes, love. Please say something,” Kyu begged him, his shaking becoming more vigorous.
“Don’t shout,” SungMin grumbled, and KyuHyun almost laughed with relief.
“SungMin. Are you okay?”
“No, it’s flicking cold, I’m hungry and now you’re shouting at me,” SungMin complained, his eyes still closed.
“I’m sorry.” Hearing this, SungMin cracked an eye open. Who was apologizing?
“Kyu…” he couldn’t contain his shock. As soon as his senses set in, he immediately began to struggle, desperately trying to get away from KyuHyun. In the corner, he saw RyeoWook standing, observing everything but not saying anything.
“What… what are you doing here?” he asked.
“Shouldn’t I ask you that?” Kyu replied.
“Well, your associate did lock me in here with practically no explanation,” SungMin pointed out, “So no, I should ask you. Why are you helping me? I thought my sole purpose was to get at DongHae.”
“I…” SungMin had a point. Why was Kyu helping him? Wasn’t this supposed to be leverage? Yet Kyu knew, as he thought it over, that it was way more than leverage. It was much more than just caring too. It was… love.
“I love you.”
“So what do you want to talk about
