The line in front of the ice-cream shop stretched down the boardwalk, blocking the entrances to about three other shops. The shop owners didn't enjoy not being able to get any customers and they had no way to let out their frustrations. There were about four other ice-cream shops with the same name spread across the boardwalk's five mile expanse. Why did everyone have to go to that one?! Damn shoobies....

Cate sighed in frustration as the two walked up to the end of the line, hand in hand. Taecyeon smiled secretly at his fortune; he would be able to spend more time with her because of the delay. His mind raced with thoughts of what to speak with her about as they waited.

He knew she liked music from her time in Korea, but that was about it. He was about to speak, but Cate tugged on his hand and pulled him out of the line.

“There's another place further down. It might be less busy,” she explained quickly.

The urgency in her voice made the tall man laugh. He now knew one more thing about her; she loved ice-cream more than the average person. She continued to tug on his hand until he began to move and follow her.

“Come on!” Cate's eyes begged for him to walk faster.

Taecyeon chuckled to himself but sped up a little to walk beside her. Cate practically skipped as they made their way to the other stand. Her eyes seemed to gleam in anticipation and Taecyeon couldn't help but notice. His eyes never left her face. Something deep inside him wanted to see her happy like that all the time. He couldn't imagine her any other way.

Cate sensed someone watching her and looked over to Taecyeon, whose eyes flitted away quickly. “Do you know what kind of ice-cream you want?”

Taecyeon looked back to her at the sound of the question, “Uhm... What kinds do they have?”

Cate let out a big breath, “They have your basics of chocolate and vanilla along with strawberry, cookie dough, cookies and crème...”

Taecyeon listened to her with amusement as she continued to list the different types of ice-cream at the shops. It's no wonder that she learned Korean so well... She could remember a lot of small details...

“...chocolate vanilla twist, vanilla strawberry twist, almost everything can go in a twist... All the flavors can be soft serve or scooped. There are tons​ of different toppings like Oreos, M&Ms, Reese's and a bunch more that I'm not even going to try listing. They also have smoothies and icees,” Cate smiled at Taecyeon after she finished with the extensive list.

Taecyeon let his breath out slowly, “I'll keep thinking about it until we get there. What are you getting with all those options?”

“A medium chocolate soft serve on a waffle cone,” she stated shortly.

“Really?” he stared at her in disbelief. “I thought you would get some kind of twist with a million types of candy on it. It seemed like you would while you were talking about it.”

Cate shook her head quickly, “Nooooo... I believe ice-cream is best eaten by itself. It doesn't need anything to 'enhance' it.” Taecyeon nodded his head in agreement. “Besides... I don't really like sweets.” Taecyeon stopped, causing her to stop when his hand prevented her from moving forward. She raised an eyebrow at him, “What?”

“You don't like sweets... Yet we're getting ice-cream?” he tried to piece everything together.

“Ice-cream doesn't taste like straight sugar, like candy or cake do. It's not too sweet and has a variety of different tastes, unlike candy which tastes the same most of the time. Candy can be sweet or sour, but it still has the same generic flavor. Ice-cream is the food of the gods,” she explained.

Taecyeon thought about it for a moment more, “That makes sense now.” She didn't like overly sweet things...

“Ow!” Jun K exclaimed. “Get off of my foot!”

Chansung lifted his own foot off of Jun K's quickly, “Sorry... You shouldn't have stopped without warning me first!”

“Shut up!” Jun K smacked the younger over the head. “They'll hear you!  I stopped because they stopped.  If you were paying attention to them, you would realize that.”
