A great start
Madness
Keep on doing the same old thing and you expecting change. Well is that really insanity or just a loser’s game?
A blinking light caught my eye.
I stopped dancing and walked over to my phone.
1 new message:
From: Haru
I get you’re angry at me, but don’t take it out on Leo and CL. Just go if you want to, don’t worry about me.
“Are you that conceit?” I mumbled.
It’s true I haven’t spoken to Haru since the day in the auditorium, but the main reason I haven't really kept in contact with anyone was because of my training.
I need to train hard to make up for lost time.
CL had invited me to go to Citywalk for New Years Eve, but I was still debating whether to go or not.
I had told her that I would think about it and wait to find out if my sister would join us.
“Always assuming” I sighed.
I suppose that was Haru’s weakness. He took time to study people in the beginning, but once he grasped one important detail he based everything on that.
For Haru, if this is this, it has to be that.
Except I peronally think in life it should be: if this is this, it could be that or it could be this.
Does that make sense?
There are always more possibilities.
He did get the whole dancing thing right though. I give him that.
They’re your friends. You go. I’m still debating whether or not I’m going, not because of you, but because of family matters.
I sent the message and began to pack up my things.
My 2 hours were up.
I walked out of the dance studio and headed to the shower room.
The warm water streamed down my body. I reached over to scrub my back, ignoring the scars that would never wash away.
I sometimes wonder about the other girls. From what I heard, the few who were left in the warehouse died in the fire.
As for those who were sold, I can only hope they were saved.
I dried my hair and quickly changed into my winter clothes.
When I got home, there was someone special waiting for me.
“Fei!” I dropped my duffel bag and rushed over to give her a hug.
“My cute little Min” Fei pinched my cheeks; I made a face, but didn’t pull away. I missed her…a lot.
“You came early”
Fei and I sat down on the couch.
“Yeah, couldn’t wait to start planning our Christmas dinner”
“More like planning every days Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner”
Fei grinned, “No more eating out!”
“In that case, can you make your amazing marinara pasta?”
“Of course, but we have to go to the supermarket to pick up some things. That refrigerator is difficult to look at”
Fei patted my head, “Come on, let’s go”
I smiled and nodded.
A great start to Winter Break.
