“Angel, I and your mother has something to say. We’ve been hiding this from you for the last 2 years since we didn’t have the courage to tell you the truth. But now, we’ve already decided to tell you the truth. “ Angel’s father called her to join them at the living room since they have something to tell her. The tone of her dad is not the usual one. He’s very serious now as if there’s really a big problem. She admits that she’s nervous a bit. She calmed herself. Her father continued talking

“Our company has been facing a bankruptcy since the past 2 years. I and your mother tried to save our company. We didn’t lose hope. We were thinking that there will be a way to lift our company up but we failed. Now, the bank is going to assume our company and even our house as a payment for our dept (a/n does that really happens in real life?). at first, Angel was calm, seems like she didn’t hear anything. She was still smiling not until she already absorbed everything she heard. She quickly got up from sitting then shouted

“WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaT?! O.O? HOOOOOW?”

“We had a dept from a long time ago. We forgot to pay about it. Little did we know, the interest was still increasing. We also had loan to help others but they didn’t pay back. So to summarize, we were submerged in depts.” 

She was astonished to her father’s announcement. Her mother cried and for Angel, seeing her mother cry is the most thing she couldn’t ever handle. It breaks her heart and she always feels guilty. So instead of grumbling about their status, she walk towards them and embraced them tightly. Tears from her eyes flowed unstoppably.

“Umma, Appa, why didn’t you tell me before? i shouldn’t have live like this. It makes me feel so guilty. I’m really sorry.” She said while crying hard

“We just want what’s best for you. We always had the positive vision Angel but I guess the result contradicts our thinking. We didn’t think that it will come this far. I’m sorry Angel.”

“What are we going to do now appa?”

“Next week, our house will get confiscated already. We will move on a small apartment that we have already bought last week. Don’t expect it to be as big as our house. But I still assure you that you will live comfortably there.”

“We have saved some money in the bank. We are saving it for you to finish college. From now on, everything will be on budget. We’re sorry Angel.” Her mom started to cry again after she spoke.

“Umma, ULJIMA! Don’t blame yourself okay? We can make it. I will sell some of my things. That will make up lots of money. We will now live on simple life. Let’s just promise that we’ll be together no matter what happens.” She hugged her family.

The next day, they started packing their things up. The next 4 following days, they will be moving out from their mansion and will be moving in in their new apartment only a sized of her entire room. She still can’t believe it’s really happening. Seems like it’s only days ago when she’s used by the spoon-feeding services she enjoys. All her so called servants left her and no one was left even her best friend among all the maids. Even her best friends in school avoid her already. She has no one to lean to except her family.

“Eotteokhae? Am I being cursed? This is a very horrible nightmare.” She sighed. She toured her, touched all the things there. She even caressed her bed tightly. She will miss it. Everything around her, she will surely miss. She faced on the mirror then said strongly. “You can make this Angel. After all, you’re the one and only Jung Angel.” She smiled brightly then left her room.

They finally got to move to their new house. It was really small compared to her house before but his dad was right, it was still comfortable to live it. It’s enough for the three of them. Since Angel can dance, she applied to work part time at a dance studio as a dance instructor. Sometimes, she also accepts academic tutorials to students. She wants to help her parents and also to earn more money for her studies. She’s a fine arts student. It was a bit hard for her during the first time but she was able to adjust after a long run. She hasn’t heard any news from her friends already and even with Heechul.

TWO YEARS LATER

Angel was still on her 2^nd year in college yet her parents can’t handle it anymore. They don’t have enough money already. What’s worst is they still have depts to pay. It’s never ending. She wants to give up now

“Umma, APPA! I think I should stop schooling first. I will just finish this school year then afterwards, I will not continue anymore. I will work instead for our daily needs and for our depts. And for your medicines dad.” Angel’s father was sick because of depression.

Angel was eating her ramen while she’s taking her lunch break. She’s now working as a supervisor on a department store. Even though she hadn’t graduated with a degree course she was still qualified to become a supervisor due to her intelligence and hard works. She was a saleslady before buut she was promoted earlier that month.

While eating, she was watching t.v . The show was Music Bank. The MC was about to announce the winner for that day when she suddenly saw 13 men standing behind. She was first startled to the huge number of members but what caught her attention is the man whose head was downcasted. He seems very nervous. Just as the guy faced the camera, Angel realizes that she recognizes who that guy is..........................................
