Chapter 21: The Chief
Snow White and Seven and the Dwarves“It’s okay. You’re okay. Everything is okay.” Jiyong whispered against Sandara’s ears, hugging her closely to him. A Polartec jacket was wrapped around her, courtesy of Jiyong but then, Sandara can’t stop trembling. Top’s words haunt her whole being. It’s my job to kill you.
Apparently, after Top told her that’s he’s sorry, he killed one of the customers’ K9 dog and brought it as he escaped through the back door. Then, the police came. Sandara would’ve fainted and crumpled on the floor if it weren’t for Jiyong, who caught her. She was brought to the hospital together with the staff.
“S-Someone told h-him to k-kill m-me.” Sandara stuttered, her face still flustered from the incident. “He said that he needed to do this and it was his job.”
“Can we stop pressing her?” Jiyong snapped, obviously having enough of the conversation. “She’s traumatized. What you’re doing makes her recall the incident once more!”
“My apologies, sir.” Officer Kang said, his fingers entangled with each other and his eyes still red after he smoked to clear his head. “I’m just doing my job. But if Miss Park wants to go home now, I will dismiss you both already.”
“T-thank you.” Sandara muttered, bowing her head slightly and they both stood up. Jiyong bowed for them both, a gesture Sandara can’t do when she’s still in the state of shock and they were both led to the exit by one of the staff.
“I can’t go home in this state. The boys would worry and just press me about what happened.” Sandara muttered after she took a deep breath, so that she won’t stutter. Jiyong tightened his grip on her arm, and brought her closer to him that her head rested on his chest.
“You can stay over at my place for the evening.” He whispers, and Sandara nodded against his chest, so he can know she agrees.
