My Everything
I'm SorryChapter 11 - My Everything
“I’m tired.” Mi Young yawned.
I nodded.
“Let’s go back okay?” I let out a small smile.
“No.” She refused.
“Why?” I asked.
“Because when I sleep and wake up, it’ll be tomorrow. And tomorrow is the day I’m going to die.” She answered with tears building up in her eyes.
“I don’t want to die tomorrow. I want to spend my last day with you.” Her voice trembled.
I nodded. “Okay…”
She leaned on my shoulder again and looked at the sky.
“Mi Young.” I called her name.
“Hmm?”
“Give me your hand.” I said.
“Why?” She turned her head and looked at me curiously.
I slowly grabbed her fragile soft hand and pulled out the ring she returned to me earlier. I put the ring through her finger as she watched slowly. It finally reached the bottom of her finger. I showed her the ring she gave me on our first date. She held it up to the sky as I did the same.
“It’s pretty under the night sky.” She let out a smile.
I smiled along and nodded. We pulled our hands back as we held our hands tightly together. She leaned her head on my shoulder again and relaxed.
“What do you want to do before you die Mi Young?” I asked as I looked up at the sky.
“To not die.” She laughed. “If not… Marry you.”
I was on the verge of tears, but luckily not one tear drop came out. I cupped her cheeks and forced her to look at me.
“From now on, we are officially married.” I whispered with a small smile.
She let out smile and nodded. I pulled her face closer to mine and kissed her. I kissed her with lots of love and passion with our lips moving in sync. I regret cheating on her, I regret acting like a jerk to her. I regret it.
Gasping for air, I pulled away.
“I love you Mi Young.” I whispered as I brought her into a hug.
“I love you too.” She whispered back.
I pulled away and let her lean on my shoulder peacefully. It was silent, so silent.
“Mi Young…” I called her name as I looked at the sky.
I didn’t receive a response.
“Mi Young?” I called again scared she might have left me in this world.
