Black Paradise
R/N: Updated the same chapter, sorry >.< I find the bickering between Byunghun and Chanhee cute I can’t even –cries-. Yeah I’m talking about my own story I should really stop doing that T_T I’m going to try to shove in a ChunJoe moment in this chapter. At least one, maybe two? And we need a kiss scene soon~~ –wiggles eyebrows- No but seriously, tell me what you guys think of this so far!
A couple hours had passed, and there was no sign of Changhyun. Both boys were starving. Chanhee seriously regretted not bringing that glass of water upstairs.
The conversation had died out, and a thick silence had lapsed the room. Byunghun was still in the same spot, on the floor, and was drowsing in and out of sleep. However, at some point during the couple hours he had rolled away from the door and was now curled up with his back against the wall beside the door. Chanhee forced himself to stay awake, staring at the patterns on the curtain in Changhyun’s room.
It was funny that he thought of Changhyun, because at that moment, the slight turn of the door knob could be heard. The room had been pitch black, Chanhee turning the light off after he saw that Byunghun was sleeping. I’m so generous and caring. Kudos to me.
A stream of yellow light lit up half the room, thankfully Chanhee’s side. A small figure created a spot of black in the limelight, and it seemed like he was carrying something with his hands. “Hyungs?” He called into the room.
Chanhee shielded his eyes from the sudden burst of light. “Byunghun is sleeping, keep it down.”
Changhyun gave a soft laugh. “He always sleeps when he’s nervous about something, that weird hyung. I brought you food! I’m just gonna put it on the table and,” He placed the tray on the desk table on the opposite wall Byunghun was leaning against and dashed for the door, locking it quickly. Footsteps could he heard getting gradually farther away from the door.
Chanhee blinked. At first, he was a bit excited about the fact that he would be locked up in a room with Byunghun. Well, he wasn’t as uncomfortable with it as Byunghun seemed to be, anyways. But seriously, treating them like prisoners in his room was going too far in Changhyun’s part, wasn’t it?
Curious as to what Changhyun had brought his prisoners, Chanhee swung his legs off the bed, quickly forcing his body to co-operate and finally walked over to the table. The tray was overflowing with pastries, two bottles of water, sandwiches and…was that slices of cake? Chanhee smirked. Ah, Changhyun. If he wanted to play this game, he shouldn’t have been so generous with the food. “That kid…” He muttered to himself, shaking his head.
Now it was the question of whether or not he should wake Byunghun. Before he slept, he had heard Byunghun complain about how hungry he was, and also heard him call Ricky a few names that, if repeated by Chanhee at home, would get him thrown into the streets to die. Besides, he was sleeping on the floor in this odd position that looked as if he was protecting his insides from a pretend fighter.
Quietly, he tip toed over to where Byunghun laid. A series of even breathing could be heard from the younger boy. Chanhee took one knee beside him, and gently tapped his shoulder. “Byunghun. Wake up.” He softly whispered.
Nothing.
Byunghun didn’t even stir, and his breathing remained even and steady.
Chanhee frowned slightly. Usually Changhyun woke up when Chanhee had did that—a soft tap and a whisper.
“Byunghun.” Chanhee gripped the boy’s shoulder and shook him slightly.
When Byunghun groaned faintly, slightly shifting his position, Chanhee snatched his hand away and froze. His heart accelerated. Would Byunghun be mad at him for waking him up while he was sleeping? And he was kind of glad too—it got lonely without Byunghun there to be complaining about every possible thing that went wrong.
But despite his movements, the younger boy settled down, lying straight now, and gave a deep sigh.
Chanhee sighed, leaning over to Byunghun’s ear. “Byunghun. Wake. Up.”
The younger boy shivered, before shooting upwards. Chanhee kneeled on both knees beside Byunghun, dramatically giving a sigh of tiredness, as if it took everything in him to wake the other boy up. “Geez, it took a good ten minutes to get you up. There’s food.” Chanhee got up from the floor, and walked back onto the bed.
Byunghun wearily sat up, slouching his shoulders. He felt groggy, and a headache slammed into him almost immediately. Holding his temples with his fingers, he clumsily got up. “How long was I asleep for?”
Chanhee noticed how thick with sleep the younger boy’s voice was laced with. Pretty y.
“I dunno.”
Byunghun opened a bottle of water, taking a small sip before screwing the cap back on and throwing it to the wall he was at. He walked back to his spot near the wall. Chanhee squinted in realization as to what Byunghun was doing.
“Don’t sleep on the floor; you’re just going to make your headache worse. Who knows how long it’s been since Changhyun cleaned his floor.”
“What headache.”
“Just get your on the bed and sleep like a normal person.”
“No.”
“Is it because of me? I’ll sleep on the floor then.”
“Chanhee, I’m fine on the floor. Can you just go back to doing whatever it is you were doing?”
Chanhee gave a sigh, and sat upright. He sorted out a plan in his mind briefly, before getting off the bed and walking towards Byunghun, who was still sitting on the floor. Grabbing his elbow, he forced the younger to get up. “What are you—” Byunghun began, before Chanhee pushed him forward, in the direction of the bed. “Lie down, you little rascal,” He ordered, before walking around the bed and plopping down on his side.
He noticed Byunghun’s hesitance. Changhyun’s bed wasn’t exactly fit to hold two people who needed space. But in the end, Byunghun lay down, wrapping a part of the free blanket around his body. Their shoulders touched, since it the only way for both boys to fit onto the bed. Chanhee smirked to himself, and turned so that his back faced the younger. “Goodnight,” He told Byunghun softly.
“Yeah…”
