“I had fun last night at the restaurant, Byung,” Chanhee smirked, leaning against the locker next to Byunghun’s. Byunghun pulled out his textbook before slamming his locker shut, eying the older.
The two stared at each other in silence for a while, before Byunghun spoke. “Last night was a mistake,” He replied coldly, walking past Chanhee down the nearly empty hall, heading towards his class. “Aw, come on Byung don’t be like that! I had fun!” Chanhee happily said, walking backwards in front of the younger so he could see his face.
Byunghun avoided Chanhee’s eye contact, biting his upper lip. He couldn’t believe he let Chanhee do that to him. He didn’t put up a fight. He just gave the reaction Chanhee had wanted. And how, how in hell, could Miyoung’s name not even popped up once in his head while the whole thing was going down? All he could ing thinking about was how good it felt—how good it felt when Chanhee touched him, how good Chanhee’s lips felt on his skin. Needlessly to say, he was in a deep sense of denial, refusing to acknowledge that it really happened. It was a dream. We’re talking about a dream. I’m thinking of a dream. It didn’t count. I didn’t do anything. Nothing happened.
“Lee Byungun!”
Byunghun’s body tensed at the familiar female voice, pausing in his tracks. Chanhee stopped in front of him and sighed, crossing his arms over his chest.
“Omo, Chanhee-ah! You two sure hang out a lot!” Miyoung gave another eyesmile, clapping her hands with a laugh. Behind her was Taeyeon. “Yes. We had a great time yesterday, didn’t we Byunghunnie?” Chanhee asked Byunghun, smirking at the younger boy.
Byunghun had to keep himself from snapping the older’s neck right then and there. He already felt guilty as it was, he didn’t need a reminder. “You should get to class, noona. You’ll be late,” Byunghun gave Miyoung a small smile before giving a small nod, ditching Chanhee, Miyoung and Taeyeon and heading to his class.

“I was thinking a solid one two beat at the beginning that’ll be prominent throughout the entire song. You’ll come in first with a light, low rap until the pre-hook. It’ll have a nice techno feel, but we won’t use any auto tune on the voices. Chanhee will do his thing at the pre-hook and then the chorus, which will be sung by Chanhee, Changhyun and me. Mir will do a rap after that, Changhyun will do the pre-hook, chorus again. We could have countermelodies in the instrumental side that complement each other, and it could be really climactic and exciting. For the middle eight, I was thinking, something significantly slower, with a bit more of a soul feel, y’know? I’ll do that. Changhyun can do the harmonizing,” Woohyun explained to Byunghun, pointing at scribbles on what was once a clean white sheet of paper that had been abused with black and blue ink.
Byunghun nodded, taking some time to absorb Woohyun’s vision in his head. “After the middle eight, we can do the chorus. And then after that, the chorus again with a higher pitch, so you guys can sorta show off the notes. In the background of that, Mir and I can do a bit of rapping to counter that,” He suggested, taping the tip of his pencil on certain scribbles made by Woohyun on the sheet.
Woohyun grinned, pressing the paper onto a desk and writing in another set of notes.
Byunghun watched Woohyun write his suggestion down, a smile forming on his face. He was proud of himself—a contribution he made would actually me going into the song. His happiness was quickly replaced with shock when he felt arms wrap themselves around his waist. Miyoung always went out for lunch with her friends, it couldn’t be her. Changhyun would never be so intimate with him, Woohyun was in the same room as him writing stuff down. It was either Mir, or Chanhee. And oh how Byunghun desperately wished it was Mir.
“What are you guys doing? Did you guys eat?”
Byunghun jerked his elbow back, creating contact with Chanhee’s ribs. Chanhee whined a bit, pulling away as he rubbed the skin over his ribs. Moving away from him, Byunghun walked beside Woohyun, inspecting what the other male was writing. “Yeah, we ate a while ago. We’re working on the song, it’s coming together,” Woohyun triumphantly, putting down the pen and handing the paper to Byunghun to let him read what he wrote.
“How did my Byung do? He any help?” Chanhee asked, snickering. Byunghun took his eyes apart from the paper to cuss at the other boy, before scanning the sheet with writing to find where he had left off.
“Yeah, actually. Byunghun knows a hell of a lot more and gives better suggestions than you ever did,” Woohyun snorted. Byunghun burst out laughing, holding one hand up to give Woohyun a high give while still scanning through the page. Woohyun gladly slapped his palm against the younger’s, flashing a grin in Chanhee’s direction.

“What are you doing tonight, Byung? The boys and I are gonna watch a movie at Woohyun’s place. Wanna come?” Chanhee asked at the end of the day, once again leaning against the locker next to Byunghun’s and waiting for him to gather his things.
Without hesitation or a moment of thought, Byunghun declined. “No.”
“What? Why not? The guys really like you!”
…
“Are you going to be there?”
“Well of course. It isn’t a party without Lee Chanhee.”
“Okay, my answer is now a definite no.”

Woohyun had asked Byunghun again in place of Chanhee, pleading with his disgustingly greasy aegyo to try to get Byunghun to go. And just because he didn’t want to withstand another round of Woohyun’s grease, he agreed. Mir cheered, slamming his fist into the locker in victory. Changhyun pressed his lips together in a thin line. Would he witness another moment between Chanhee and Byunghun? And would the other guys stop being so oblivious to realize what’s going on?
“So when Woohyun asks you, you agree, but when I ask you, you flat out said no? I’m hurt Byung, hurt!” Chanhee clutched his heart in false hurt. Byunghun gave him a smack upside the head.
