“Are you sure you’re alright? You don’t look too good Hana”

“I’m fine...”

“It’s him right? I knew it...”

“Could you please... remain quiet for a while?”

She fell back against the chair and kept her eyes closed for a while, 
trying to get over the shock of the unexpected meeting. 
The dejected look on his face when she left was still fresh in her memory.

“You should have just explained to him”

“I can’t Jungmin, I have a promise to keep...”

“It’s sooner or later anyway”

Hana recalled the day she was called into the office by his dad and 
got grilled by him over the gifts she had received from Hyung Jun. 
And the shock when he showed her the medical bills which he had settled without her knowledge. 

She was at a loss for words until his dad’s assistant walked in apparently after doing 
some investigations and clarified that it was Hyung Jun who did all those on his own accord. 

He even revealed that Hyung Jun had been pestering the maids to let 
him learn and help with the chores for some unknown reason.

She never thought that he would have taken her words so seriously, 
and that he was the one who had been taking care of her silently.

“Do you like my son?”

Though she found him irritating at times, he was someone she felt comfortable with. 

Whether or not she liked him, she never thought about it, 
until his dad’s question caught her by surprise.

“I was worried he’d never grow up, but he seems to listen to you a lot Hana. 
I would have objected if it was any other girl. But you’re a good girl and have 
great potential, it’ll be a waste to let you go because of a deal Hyung Jun messed up. Will you help him?”

Hyung Jun had made a promise to work hard as long as Hana could stay, 
which made him believe that his son was really serious this time. 
So came the plan to send her overseas for training at a friend’s company, 
but she had to stay away from him until the time was right. 
And his dad wouldn’t have any objections if they could withstand the test of time.

But would things really go accordingly as planned?

“Yah! Why are you doing this behind her back?”

Grabbing onto Jungmin’s collar upon seeing him at the bar with another girl, 
Hyung Jun was about to hit him when Jungmin managed to get hold of his hand and dodge.

“Ah...it’s you again. What are you talking about? 
This girl’s my girlfriend... why can’t I be with her?”

“What about Hana?”

“Yah... since when did Hana become my girlfriend? 
Where did you even get that idea from...”

“But you were with her that day...”

“If any random guy hanging out with her was her boyfriend... 
Aish... You’re not very bright aren’t you... 
and to think that you’re so successful in work...”

“What are you trying to say?”

“Nothing much... but I wonder what that girl sees in you... really...”
