Chapter 8

“Kyu Jong ah you‘re finally back, sit down and have dinner quick”

Kyu Jong was greeted by his seemingly cheerful mum at the door as he returned
from work. He followed her towards the dining room and was shocked to see a
familiar looking person seated at the table, smiling at him as he approached.

“Kyu oppa…”

“Yah oppa take a seat and stop staring at her…”

Kimmy pulled out the chair beside her, motioning for him to take a seat. 
Nobody had mentioned about Krystel's return and he was definitely not prepared 
to meet her again. The only form of contact he had with her was their occasional 
chat over the internet which never lasted more than ten minutes, where she would 
briefly update him about her life over there and assure that she was coping fine.

“Yah… how could you just leave and not return for three whole years?”

“Sorry… but I‘m back for good now… isn‘t it good news?”

“De… you‘d better make up for it”

Krystel raised her eyebrow and looked at Kimmy, who just let out a chuckle and
continued with her food. Whether to rejoice or not, it just felt different, even 
though they were still speaking to each other.

“Kyu oppa…”

It had been more than a week after her return and they had yet to have a good chat 
to catch up with each other. Krystel opened the door to Kyu Jong’s room one morning 
after getting no response from knocking on it and found him seated on the bed with Yoora.

“Hi Krystel! When did you return?” 

“Hi Yoora… about a week ago. Good to see that you‘re well…”

“Thanks… I won’t know what to do if not for Kyu oppa. Oppa… why didn‘t I hear you mention about it?”

“I did…”

“Anyways, I‘m glad you‘re back. Oppa and I are planning on getting married soon. 
You'll help us prepare for the day right?”

“What? Yoora I didn't agree on that!”

Kyu Jong almost jumped out of his bed upon hearing her and protested
immediately, hoping that Krystel would get the hint. 

“Oh… de... congrats… speaking of which… I think Omma needs
some help in the kitchen. I'll not disturb you any further”

“Stel…”

He knew that she heard him, but she left the room without turning back. He had 
intended to clear things out with her and wanted her to know that he never got 
back together with Yoora despite letting her stick by his side all these years.

“Oppa…”

“Get out…”

“But Oppa I really…”

“Get out!”
