Chapter 7

“I won't be coming home for dinner tonight Stel… mianhae… could you let Omma know?”

“Too much work again?”

“De…”

“Don’t forget your dinner… go grab something to eat before continuing your work…”

“Oppa! Let's catch a movie after dinner”

Kyu Jong froze upon hearing Yoora’s voice coming 
from behind him while he was on the line with Krystel.

“Arasso… I‘ll be home as soon as I can”

He hung up hoping that it wasn’t loud enough to be heard over the phone. 
He didn’t have much of a choice as Yoora refused to go for treatment unless 
he kept her company that day, and it had taken him a lot of effort to come 
out with an excuse and make a call to Krystel.

“Oppa you look troubled… what are you thinking about?”

Standing by the balcony to enjoy the view of the night sky, Kyu Jong 
was snapped out of his thoughts by a nudge from Krystel. 

“Uh… nothing much”

“Why do I feel that I don’t know you any more?”

“Mwoh?”

“I don‘t know Oppa… you never kept anything from me before… 
and I’m tired of guessing what’s going on in your mind”

She had a look of frustration on her face and he was slightly taken aback by the sudden 
outburst. He was pondering over whether or not to talk her about the invitation from 
Yoora’s parents to go on a holiday together after completing her treatment, as a form of 
gratitude for keeping her company throughout. He had attempted to reject them but agreed 
to reconsider due to Yoora’s constant pestering.

“I’m just feeling a little tired…”

“Is it because of Yoora?”

“Why did you say that? You know the situation she‘s in…”

“I didn‘t mean it that way… it's just…”

“…”

“I'm sorry, let's break up”

“Why? There's really nothing going on between us Stel…”

“De, I know. It's just me…”

“Anni, why are you saying that?”

“You’ll always be my beloved brother, and I guess it‘s better we remain that way.
Mianhae… Kyu oppa…”

Why do you have to be so god damn nice to everyone? 
So much that I find it hard to even blame you for 
everything you did unknowingly, let alone hate you ...
