Young Saeng led him towards a ward and he peeked in, taken 
aback by the scene that had just unfolded in front of him. 

He found a frail looking her lying on the bed and holding on to Kimmy’s 
hand for support. She had become much thinner and was wearing a 
beanie to hide her hair loss from the side effects of chemotherapy. 

His tears fell when her saw crying out in pain as the nurse injected the 
IV needle into her, and he closed the door behind him, holding onto 
Young Saeng for support. 

He wanted so much to take all the pain in her place but all he could do was to watch her suffer.

“Terminal stage of stomach cancer, I’m sorry Hyung”

“Why did you keep this from me?”

“I just found out about it too”

“How can it be? Tell me it’s not true...”

Young Saeng had found Kimmy crying one day and found out
about the shocking truth after probing into it. 
Kyu Jong had an important meeting to attend overseas and had 
no choice but to call on one of her closest friends to keep her 
company as Krystel was also out of town. 

Gabriella never left for the States as they found out about her condition 
after the doctor noticed something abnormal about the scans after her 
miscarriage, which probably explained why she was frequently taking the
painkillers. And why she left him.

“Pabo...why did you do this?”

“Mianhae Oppa...”

“Don’t say that...”

“I didn’t know what to do... I don’t want you to go through it with me...”

“Yah... what do you take me as? You could at least let me be around to give you some support...”

He knew that she had all the love and support from her family, but it hurt 
to hear that she chose to keep him out of it and face everything by herself.

He proposed to her while they went on a short holiday together after 
completing a round of chemotherapy and getting the doctor’s approval to travel.

Revealing the ring he had prepared, he patiently waited for her to recover from 
the shock and give her response. She was hesitant however, dismissing it with 
a laugh which he knew was forced.

“Don’t be silly Oppa, you know I’ll die any time... You’ll find someone better”

“Yah, stop sprouting nonsense. I forbid you to say that ever again. 
And I won’t accept no for an answer...”

“Isn’t that forcing me into marriage?”

“Who else do you want to marry otherwise? 
We’ll get married once you get better, ok?”
