Young Saeng awoke to a sharp pain on his back but smiled when he 
found Joelle asleep, her hands holding on to his on the hospital bed. 
She woke up after feeling someone ruffle her hair and was glad to 
see him regain consciousness.

“You’re awake…” 

“De… did you stay up the whole night?”

“I think so, but I fell asleep somehow. 
Don’t do that again… do you know how dangerous it was?”

“It’s just a few stitches isn’t it? And I was really angry…”

“Yah… you know you almost would have died if it went slightly deeper…”

Her eyes welled up with tears as she recalled the trauma she went through the night before. 
There was nothing she could do but to wait outside the operating theatre with Hyung Jun and 
Alicia who rushed down immediately upon hearing about the attack.

Flashback
“How is he doctor? Please tell me he’s fine…”

“He’s lucky the knife missed his heart by a bit, but he’ll 
need a blood transfusion immediately. Who’s blood type O?” 

“I am…”

End of Flashback

“Arasso, I won’t do it again. Promise. 
Did you say something just before I passed out?”

“Ah.. anni… I mean… I told you not to sleep”

Joelle was caught by surprise by his sudden question and felt her face turn red almost instantly. 
He grinned as he recalled the last few words he heard before losing consciousness totally.

“I see… does Sunshine get anything in return for risking 
my life to save a girl who wandered off on her own?”

“Waeyo? You were gone for so long and I thought something 
happened that was why I left the car… and it happened…”

“De it‘s my fault... how do I make up for it then?”

Young Saeng leaned over and held on to her chin, looking into 
her eyes which were desperately trying to avoid his gaze.

“Jojo breakf…”

He was about to kiss her but backed off upon hearing someone’s call, blushing
upon seeing Hyung Jun and Alicia staring at them from the foot of the bed.

“Looks like the stabs on the back didn‘t have much impact on you hyung… 
it’s the hospital you know…”
