Chapter 4

“Had a good rest?”

“De, thanks for saving me yesterday…”

“Don‘t mention. Have more vegetables, you need more nutrients”

Kyu Jong tried to shift his attention elsewhere as he saw Hyun Joong put some 
food onto Krystel’s plate during breakfast. He was feeling weary from the loss 
of sleep and it didn’t help to see Kimmy pinching Young Saeng on the cheek, so 
he looked onto his plate and began eating his food.

“Kyu Jong ah, didn‘t sleep well?”

“De… must have played too hard yesterday…”

Young Saeng expressed his concern after noticing that he had not spoken a word, 
but he continued eating his meal silently after the brief reply. The rest of the day 
was a drag seeing his two buddies fussing over his sisters and he was glad when 
they finally returned to their rooms.

Kyu Jong was about to go to bed when he heard the doorbell ring, 
and he was surprised to find Krystel at the door.

“What‘s up? Couldn‘t get to sleep?”

“Nothing… you don‘t look too good today. Is something bothering you?”

“Oh… not really. Shall we go for a walk by the beach?”

They strolled down the beach under the moonlight, with Krystel playfully trying to push 
Kyu Jong towards the waves as they came. Young Saeng’s words the day before repeated 
in his mind as they played by the beach, and he was amazed that he had seen right through 
him, even before he realized that he had indeed fallen for her.

“Stel, do you like Hyun Joong?”

“Mwoh? Aniyo… why are you asking this all of a sudden?”

“Anni, just that I didn‘t hear of you having a boyfriend or liking anyone ever since 
you came to live with us over a year ago. And it seems like you guys are getting along…”

“Are you wishing that I get a boyfriend soon because I‘m a burden to you?”

“No it‘s not that…”

He became anxious as he realized the change of tone in her voice and held on to 
her as she was about to walk off. There was a tinge of hurt in her eyes and he 
didn’t know what else to do to make her feel better than to hug her tightly.

Whatever happened next caught him by surprise as she wrapped her hands over 
his nape and placed her lips on his, and he responded by deepening the kiss gradually.

“Oppa… saranghae…”
