Changjo continued to walk, eventually reaching the dorm and going into his room. The other members didn’t notice his entry, too engrossed in their own activities. As Changjo closed the door to his room, he sat down on the bed, and stared at the ground. He exhaled deeply, and looked at his desk. He grabbed a piece of paper and a pen. He started to write, letting his thoughts flow and his mind run free. He wrote about how much of a fool he was, and how much he really loved Rachel. He wrote of how much it pained him to see her with Niel, and how he regretted not saying anything before he did.

Soon enough, the whole page was full of his writing, and he folded the paper up, leaving it in front of some books.

November 16. It was Changjo’s birthday, and Teen Top organised a small party between them and the three girls. As Ricky poured a packet of chips into a bowl, Chunji fixed up the streamers and Niel fiddled with the cake while L.Joe and CAP kept Changjo outside of the dorm. The three girls approached the entrance, and saw the half of Teen Top outside of the door.
“Annyong,” Seoul waved.
CAP and L.Joe waved back. Changjo bowed.
“Happy Birthday Changjo!” Mizuki smiled, and handed him a present.
Changjo smiled weakly. “Gomawo.”

Seoul hugged Changjo, before giving him her present as well. “Happy birthday Dongsaeng.”
Changjo bowed his head.

Rachel held no present, but instead gave him a long hug. “Happy birthday Jonghyun,” she whispered as she kept her arms wrapped around him. Changjo welcomed the hug, and briefly hugged her back before his feelings went into overload. Ricky opened the door, letting them in.
“Hyung, why did you do this for me?” Changjo asked CAP.
CAP shrugged. “Because we wanted to. Come inside, birthday boy.”

Rachel let Changjo go, and she walked inside. Changjo watched her, and followed.

He was soon confronted by balloons and streamers, and a giant sign that said ‘HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO TEEN TOP’S MAKNAE’ on it. Everyone but Changjo pulled on Party Poppers, and confetti was thrown around. Changjo never had this kind of a birthday party before. It had always been a small gathering for him, but now it was like the entire party shop exploded in the Teen Top dorm. He couldn't help but laugh and smile as he was told to put on a party hat and a sash saying Birthday Boy. The party went on for quite a while, as some started the karaoke machine, while others attacked the lollies and chips.

As it hit six o’clock, the birthday cake appeared. Three layers of chocolate with little bits of candy here and there and 17 candles on the top. The cake was placed on the table and Changjo stood quietly while everyone sang happy birthday, and as he was about to blow out the candles, the rest of Teen Top did it for him. The dorm was filled with laughter and smiles. But when everyone started to eat the cake, Rachel couldn't help but notice Changjo’s ‘glassy eyed’ expression. She walked up to him, and poked him lightly on the shoulder.
“You alright?” she asked, some icing off her fork. Changjo shrugged, and ate the rest of his cake.
“Follow me.” He said, and walked towards his room.

She followed, and Changjo left his door ajar.
“Did you get me a birthday present?” he asked with a smile.
“You haven’t told me what you wanted. I’ll give you one when you tell me what you want.” Rachel replied smoothly, giving him an eye-smile in return.
Changjo looked at her, and an idea appeared in his head.
“Can I have a kiss? And a day out with you?” he asked.
Rachel felt her eyes widen. “What?”
“Please?” he replied.
Rachel felt her cheeks go red for no reason. “A day out? Just as friends?” she asked.

Changjo didn’t care what they went as; just as long as he was with her.

“Whatever you want. I just want a kiss and a day out with you,” Changjo replied.
Rachel felt her cheeks go hotter as the word ‘kiss’ left his lips. She didn’t know what to think. Was he serious? Rachel felt like he still had a big place in her heart. But she also felt like he was just playing with her. After all, it was in his nature to be a bit cocky. Rachel thought about the request. She wanted to, but she didn’t want to hurt Niel’s feelings either.

Just as friends. She could do that.

Changjo pulled her close by the shoulders, looking her right in the eye, their faces inches apart. “So, is that a yes?”
Rachel didn’t respond, too stunned by the close proximity she had with Changjo.

He smiled, and lightly pressed his lips against hers.

Rachel’s heart stopped beating. Her head began to spin, and she felt like jelly as Changjo gently wrapped his arm around her waist, pulling her closer. He continued to kiss her, feeling like God as Rachel began to kiss him back.

“Cha–THE HELL?!” Niel barged into the room, and Rachel pulled away, her face bright red.
“Hyung,” Changjo replied.

Niel frowned, looking at Rachel’s embarrassed face and Changjo’s cool expression. His heart began to hurt, and he felt his hands clench into fists.

“Wh-what’s going on?” he asked with a broken voice.
