The next day, you receive a call from Mrs. Kim. You've just woken up.

 

You: (answers the call) Hello?

Mrs. Kim: Ttal (daughter).

You: Huh? (looks at caller id) Oh, Oma! (smiles)

Mrs. Kim: (smiles) Good morning. I'll be going  back there with your Appa on Monday. Can you pick us up?

You: Here? You mean America?

Mrs. Kim: (smiles) Yes.

You: Yeah, just tell me the datails and I'll take care of it.

Mrs. Kim: You have no plans?

You: I'll clear it if I do. (smiles)

Mrs. Kim: If you have made plans. It's alright.

You: Oma. Please don't do this. I haven't seen you in forever. So, when are you coming?

 

You finished your conversation with her. You copied her flight details to your phone. Oh no! You're busy that day. On monday, you have to drive to the bay area for a blind date that your Aunt and Uncle set you up with. You really didn't want to go and they knew that. So, any excuse from you will seem like a lie.

 

What to do? What to do? This is exactly what they expect me to do. But seriously. How do I get out of this situation?

You call up your Aunt and Uncle. No one was home so, you decide to leave a message.

 

You: Hi, it's _________ Sorry I haven't called in awhile. Been busy with my jobs. Um, I know you guys know me so well. And, i won't get out of a situation unless it's really super duper important. Anyway, I can't make it on monday because I have to drive south. My bestfriend's parents are coming back from Korea and wants me to pick them up. So, I'll accept any punishment. Call me when you receive this. Please and thank you. (you hang up)

 

You're not sure how your Aunt and Uncle will take it. But, you're prepared.

 

2 days pass and you stare at your laptop. You check your email. Yup, all spam mail. Junk. You erase all of them without reading any. Then, you see past conversations.

 

1 month ago.

You:

15 minutes later

Donghae: Hello.

You:

Donghae:

You: I was bored. Whatcha doing?????

Donghae: Conference

You:  Ok, bye!

4 minutes later

Donghae: Sorry, I'll call you after we're done.

------

 

You smile and decide to message him.

 

You:

2 minutes later

Donghae:

You:

Donghae:

You: Sorry to bother you. It's just.

Donghae: What is it?

You: I wish I would've went.

Donghae: It's the Oppa effect.

You: Silly boy. You always make me smile. I miss  her even more.

Donghae: You don't miss me?

You: There you go again. I was in the process of crying my eyes out and you go and say these things.

Donghae: When can I see you?

You: Huh?

Donghae: Videochat.

You: Oh.

2 minutes later

Donghae: Disappointed?

You: Must be the Oppa Effect wearing off.

Donghae: Haha!

You: Well, just call me whenever. I'm just waiting for you since you're the busy one.

Donghae: Me?

You: Yeah. You can call me anytime and I'll answer but in your case, your schedules filled. I'll be happy with even 2 minutes of your time.

6 minutes later.

You: Hello?

        Donghae?

        ???

Donghae has logged off

 

Well, that answered that.

 

You clean your room, take a long hot shower, put on your pajamas, brush your teeth and get ready for bed. You lay out your rosary and rosary book on the bed. You check the clock. 21:40

 

If you don't call I swear I won't ever. You know what. Whatever.

 

Just then, your phone rings. You look at your rosary.

 

You: Mother Mary? (you quickly check your phone)

 

New Caller Dong Hae Lee --> Answer Ignore <--

 

You quickly answer it.

 

You: Hello?

Donghae: I'm sorry. The battery died.

You: Oh!

Donghae: Did I worry you?

You: What? No!

Donghae: (smiles) I did huh? You thought I didn't want to talk to you anymore.

You: Pft! No!

Donghae: (chuckles) That's the first time I heard you say that.

You: What?

Donghae: It means you're lying.

You: What?

Donghae: Yeah.

You: No!

Donghae: Yeah! (smiling)

You: No!

Donghae: (smiling) Yeah!

You: Whatever.

Donghae: What did you say earlier?

You: Huh?

Donghae: Even 2 minutes? (smiling)

You: What the heck. Oh yeah, Choi Siwon is really cute.

 

Donghae doesn't reply. But you can tell he wasn't excited to hear that.

 

You: You did that thing where you semi-flinch.

Donghae: What?

You: I know you quite well now too. (smiles)

Donghae: You do?

You: yeah.

Donghae: really? (smiling)

You: (smiling) seriously!

Donghae:(smiles) I believe you.

You: i know you do.

Donghae: Shouldn't you be sleeping already?

You: I was just about to pray the rosary.

Donghae: Go ahead.

You: What?

Donghae: Pray, i'll listen.

You: huh? You'll listen while I pray the rosary? That's a unique request.

Donghae: (smiles) Pray. I'll listen.

You: um, okay? i'll put the phone my ear phones on and pray then. If you have to go just hang up, okay? i'll understand.

Donghae: (smiles) Okay

 

You put your earphones on and plug it onto your phone. You put your phone on your bed and pray the rosary.

 

You: In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

......

You finish praying and put the rosary and rosary book away. You almost forgot you had Donghae on the other line. You take off your earphones and talk on your phone.

 

You: Hello?

Donghae: (smiles) Hello?

You: You were so quiet I forgot you were there.

Donghae: No, I'm still here.

You: I know. (smiles)

Donghae: (smiles) Yeah.

You: So? (smiling)

Donghae: I think you should sleep now.

You: Okay.

Donghae: Okay?

You: (smiles) Yeah.

Donghae: Okay.

You: Well, I'll talk to you later then.

Donghae: Okay.

You: wait.

Donghae: Huh?

You: Why do you do that, dream of me. I'll come ino your dreams tonight thing?

Donghae: (smiles) Do you?

You: Do I what?

Donghae: Do you dream of me?

You: Well, when I see the youtube video.

Donghae: (smiles) I'll see you in your dreams then.

You: (smiles) What the?

Donghae: (smiling) Dream of me?

You: Oh gosh. Okay, good night take care God Bless.

Donghae: will you?

You: What?

Donghae: Dream of me?

You: (smiling) Sure.

Donghae: It's not a request.

You: Okay?

Donghae: I'll see you in your dreams.

You: (smiles) Good night (hangs up)

 

What the heck was that? Yeah, I mean when I do watch those interviews of him where he says he'll get into my (Elf) dreams. I really do dream of him. It's actually a good thing because since I realize the effect of that, I no longer have bad dreams. Just Donghae dreams ^^

 

You text him before you go to bed.

 

You: You're my new dream catcher. Thanks for keeping the bad dreams out. :)

 

In Korea, Donghae receives your text. He smiles after reading it. Kyuhyun passes by and reads it.

 

Kyuhyun: Oh, you have a girlfriend?

Donghae: (puts phone away) Yah! Geugeon sajeog-in munje ya. (That's private)

Kyuhyun: (smiling) Deo isang-eun aniji (not anymore)

 

Kyuhyun then leaves off smiling. Eunhyuk arrives and steals Donghae's phone.

 

Donghae: Eunhyuk-ah. Yah! (tries taking his phone back)

Eunhyuk: (referring to phone) Ige nae gyocheingayo? (Is this my replacement)

Donghae: Mwoya! (What in the?)

Kyuhyun: (arrives and takes the phone from Eunhyuk) Hyung.

Donghae: yah! (tries to take phone but Eunhyuk blocks him)
