Chapter 10

Sungmin was sitting on the bed while holding a box of tissue. She was blowing her nose every minute because she has colds. She wraps the thick blanket all around her body because she feels so cold. Kyuhyun sits beside her holding a glass of water and her medicine

“You never listen to me. Look what happen to you”

Kyuhyun told her while frowning. Sungmin drinks her medicine

“Baby, I feel so weak. My entire body is really aching. I want to cry because of pain”

Sungmin told her husband with teary eyes. Kyuhyun frowns at her even more

“It’s your fault. You didn’t listen to what I told you. See what happen? Because you’re such a naughty hard head baby girl, you got fever and cold”

Kyuhyun told her angrily. Sungmin holds her husband’s face between her hands. Kyuhyun can feel her warm hands

“I’m sorry baby. Please don’t get mad at me”

“What will I do to you? Aish!”

Kyuhyun sighs and holds his wife’s forehead

“Aigoo! You’re burning. Let’s go at the hospital so the doctors can check you”

Sungmin shook her head nervously

“Don’t kill me like this Kyu. I don’t want to go at the hospital. Never”

Sungmin told him while pouting and immediately lay on the bed

“Minnie, please stop being a kid. Honestly, Key is more obedient than you. He knows how to follow compare to you”

“I’m scared of hospital. If you want me to live then you should not bring me to the hospital. I’m really going to die there”

“Ok. I’m not going to argue with you anymore. Just do whatever you want. Have it your way. I don’t want to talk to a very hard headed girl like you. You never change”

Kyuhyun told her before going out of their room, leaving Sungmin alone

“Yah! Why did he leave me all of a sudden?”

Sungmin pouts

“He’s mad at me again. I really can’t believe you Cho Kyuhyun. You’re wife is already sick, but still dare to get mad at time like this. So brat”

Sungmin sighs and blows her nose

“This is so hard. I’m supposed to be enjoying my vacation with my husband, but here I am, lying on the bed because I’m sick and my entire body is really aching. I think I’m going to die”

Sungmin told herself while rubbing her head. She heard her husband’s mobile phone ringing. She gets up and grabs it on the table. Sungmin frowns while staring at the caller’s name

“What the hell is her business with my husband this time?”

Sungmin takes a deep breath and answers the call

“Yeoboseo”

“Excuse me, but where is Mr. Cho?”

“What the hell is your business with my husband?”

Sungmin asks Hara sarcastically

“I’m his secretary. I need to talk to him, so please give him his phone”

“Oh yes. I almost forgot that you’re the secretary, but I’m the wife”

Sungmin emphasize the word ‘wife’ making Hara frowns

“So?”

“So, I have the right not to give him his mobile phone, especially when the caller is a like you”

Hara laughs softly. Sungmin frowns. She suddenly wants to go back in Seoul and cut Hara’s hair and kicks her face

“You’re just insecure because I’m better than you”

Hara told Sungmin who raises her eyebrow

“Since when did the other woman become better with the legal wife?”

“Mrs. Cho, men cheat because they find their wives no longer attractive and good in bed. That’s why other woman is always better than the legal wife. He wouldn’t cheat if you’re better than me”

Hara told Sungmin, teasing her. Sungmin bites her lips because of anger

“Let’s see who will win between us Mrs. Cho. I know that you’re the legal wife and you’re married with him, but he loves me more than you. I’ll just call again later since you don’t want to give the phone to my honey. Bye”

Hara hangs up. Sungmin’s tears start falling from her eyes

“Yah! What the hell is she talking about?”

Sungmin stares at Kyuhyun’s wallpaper on his mobile phone. It was their family picture last Christmas

“Baby, please don’t do this to me. That girl is lying, right? You’re not cheating on me and you love me, right?”

Sungmin starts crying like a kid

“What will I do if Kyu is really cheating on me? What will happen to our family? How about Key? Oh my goodness, this can’t be happening”

Sungmin wipes her tears and slowly get off the bed. She went out of the room to look for Kyuhyun, but she can’t find him

“Excuse me”

Sungmin approaches their personal butler

“Did you see my husband?”

“Oh, he went out with the car”

“Did he tell you where he’s going?”

“I’m sorry, but he didn’t tell me. I just saw him leaving with the car”

“Thank you”

Sungmin bows at him before going back to the room. She heard her husband’s mobile phone ringing again. Sungmin answers the call

“Yah! Where is my husband?”

Sungmin asks Hara

“I forgot to tell you Mrs. Cho that Montego Bay, Jamaica is really a nice place”

Hara smiles before hanging up. Sungmin dials her number

“Your call has been transferred to a voice mailbox number”

Sungmin bites her lips because of anger

“She already turns off her mobile phone”

Sungmin sighs and gets her mobile phone under the pillow and calls her secretary

“Yes Mrs. Cho?”

“Where are you?”

“Cho Corporation because Mr. Cho told me before you go in your vacation that I should start working as his temporary secretary”

“How about Ms. Goo Hara?”

“Oh...”

Sooyoung clears before continuing

“I’m working with her. She’s not yet working at Lee Corporation since we haven’t receive any orders from you”

“Where is she?”

“She went in Jamaica because Mr. Cho asks for her. I don’t know why. She left early yesterday. Why?”

“Nothing. If she arrives, tell her to start working at Lee Corporation”

Sungmin hangs up

“He left me alone here because of her”

Sungmin whispers. She lay down on the bed and starts crying like a kid

*SEOUL*

Hyuk Jae was sitting on the bed while holding her son on her arms. She was watching Donghae walks around their room

“Honey...”

Hyuk Jae calls Donghae’s attention. Donghae stop walking and looks at her

“Why are you walking back and forth? Is there something wrong?”

Donghae nods at her. He sits on the bed, joining his wife

“Honey, I have very big problems”

“What is it?”

Hyuk Jae asks her husband worriedly

“I just lose eight investors for my new project and five clients”

“Why?”

“I don’t know. I just can’t understand why they suddenly pull out everything and cancels everything. They didn’t even explain it to me. The worst part my business trip with Mr. Kim in New York for Joy Imports has been cancelled because Mr. Anderson suddenly back out and we can’t understand why”

“Honey, do you think someone is behind it? I mean, do you think someone is sabotaging you?”

Hyuk Jae told her husband nervously. Donghae’s eyes widened

“I’m actually thinking about that too, but the question here is who”

Donghae stares at his wife nervously

“Could it be Appa?”

“Honey, we can’t just put the blame on your father. We don’t have enough evidence right now. We can’t just accused him”

“You’re right”

Donghae sighs

“The other thing that bothers me a lot is Umma”

“Why? What happen to Umma?”

Donghae stares at his wife worriedly before answering her

“We see each other yesterday at Namu. She told me that she’s going to tell me something important and it’s about Appa. But she didn’t have the chance to tell it to me because Appa suddenly arrives. Judging by the way Umma looks at me, I can see that she’s scared. I bet Appa is hurting her because she has a lot of bruise”

“Then what are we going to do? We need to rescue Umma if that’s the case. We just can’t let her live with Appa if he’s really hurting her”

“I keep on calling her, but her mobile phone is always off. I call the number at home, but the helpers always told me that Umma is out with her friends. I really have a bad feeling about it. Umma is in danger and Appa is really planning something evil. I need to find out about it before it’s too late”

“Did you already tell Minnie about it?”

Donghae shook his head

“I can’t tell her right now. I don’t want to think about it. She’s in her vacation with Kyu and they need to enjoy it. I’ll just talk to her when she’s already back here in Seoul. Honey, what will I do?”

Hyuk Jae cups her husband’s face and kisses her lips

“Just do the right thing. I’m here to support you”

Hyuk Jae smiles at him. She puts Minho back to his crib and gives her husband a warm hug, taking his worries away

“Don’t think too much. I’m always here for you. We’re going to make this together. You’re not alone”

“Thank you Hyukkie”

Donghae kissed her forehead and hugs her tight

*MONTEGO BAY, JAMAICA*

Sungmin was walking around the room, waiting for Kyuhyun. She was feeling weak because of her fever and cold. She tries her best to sleep and take a rest, but she just can’t relax knowing that her husband is with his secretary

“Where on earth is he?”

Sungmin stares at the clock. It was already six in the evening. Her tears start forming in her eyes while waiting for Kyuhyun. She feels so nervous and scared. She can’t give him a call because he left his mobile phone. Sungmin stares at the door when she heard someone opens it. Kyuhyun went in, holding an some folders and envelope

“Where have you been?”

Sungmin asks Kyuhyun, but he just ignores her

“Baby, I’m asking you”

“Do you need to know?”

“Who is with you?”

Kyuhyun stares at Sungmin

“Why do you need to ask a lot of question Minnie?”

“Why can’t you answer me? It’s because you’re with your other woman”

“Minnie, don’t start it”

“Start what?”

Sungmin stares at Kyuhyun with teary eyes

“Why can’t you just admit that you’re with her awhile ago?”

“Fine! Hara is here in Jamaica. We’re together awhile ago. I ask her to go here to bring some important documents, happy?”

“Liar!”

“I don’t care about what you’re thinking right now”

Kyuhyun puts the folders and documents on the sofa. Sungmin’s mobile phone rings. Kyuhyun saw it on the table and stares at the caller’s name. He immediately grabs it and throws it on the floor before Sungmin can answer it

“Why is he calling you?”

“I don’t know. You never give me the chance to answer it. How am I supposed to know why Jongwoon is calling me?”

“How can your business partner call you while we’re here in our honeymoon?”

“Honeymoon? Is this our honeymoon? It’s your honeymoon with that mistress of yours!”

“What?”

Kyuhyun stares at his wife seriously

“What did you just say?”

“How could you bring that here?”

“I TOLD YOU THAT I ASK HER TO BRING SOME IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS FOR ME! CAN’T YOU UNDERSTAND THAT?”

Kyuhyun raises his voice because of anger

“You can just ask your Vice-President to bring those documents and not your secretary!”

“Shut up!”

“Why do I have this kind of feeling that you really send her here just to be with her and flirt with her? How can you bring your work here? This is our vacation, but why do you need to bring your work here and that ? You want to bring your work here, so you can also bring that and flirt with her!”

Kyuhyun slaps Sungmin

“I TOLD YOU TO SHUT YOUR MOUTH!!! I’M REALLY LOSING MY TEMPER TO YOU!!!”

Kyuhyun shouts at Sungmin. Sungmin drops her head as she starts crying like a kid

“You’re insecure that’s why you’re jealous and you’re jealous that’s why you’re accusing me that I’m having an affair with her! Why are you accusing me of the things that you yourself is doing? Who’s the one who is cheating here? Was it me or you?”

“I don’t want to talk to you anymore. You’re such an immature man”

Sungmin turns her back, but Kyuhyun holds her arm to stop her from walking away. He pushes her on the bed and lay on top of her

“Who is good on bed? Me or your other man?”

Kyuhyun removes his shirt

“Kyu, what the hell are...”

Sungmin has been cut when Kyuhyun forcefully kissed her lips

“Baby, please don’t do this to me”

Sungmin begs her husband. Kyuhyun shoots her a serious glare

“Why don’t you want to have with me? It’s because I’m not Jongwoon?”

“It’s not like that...”

Sungmin’s tears keep on falling from her eyes

“THEN WHAT?”

Sungmin didn’t answer him. She doesn’t know how to answer Kyuhyun. She just stares at him while crying hard

“Why can’t you answer me Lee Sungmin? So it’s true? You don’t want me to you because you prefer Jongwoon ing you instead of your husband!”

“NO! That’s not true, please stop now Kyu. I’m not cheating on you”

She holds Kyuhyun’s face

“I love you and I can’t do that thing to you”

“Liar!”

“I’m telling you the truth. I never cheated on you and I can’t do that. I love you so much baby”

“Prove it to me”

“Why do I need to prove it? Why do you doubt?”

“Because you’re such a flirt liar! I hate you Lee Sungmin. I just don’t want to love you anymore. I’m already tired of loving a girl like you!”

Kyuhyun told her before jumping off the bed. He went inside the bathroom to have a warm shower, leaving his wife crying on the bed

Hara was sitting inside the airport, waiting for her flight going back in Seoul. She was talking happily with her father over the phone

“You did a great job sweetheart”

“I’m sure that they are already fighting. It’s good that brother in law is a workaholic. He even wants to bring his work in their honeymoon and Unnie is just plain stupid by answering her husband’s phone awhile ago. I made some stories that will make her think that her husband is really cheating on her. I can easily separate them easily and brother in law is slowly falling on my trap”

“Good”

“I’m going back now in Seoul. I’ll see you soon Appa”

“Be back safe”

“Arasso”

Hara hangs up

“I told you Lee Sungmin, I’m better than you. We’re siblings, but I’m always better than you because my mom is way too better than your mom. Appa loves her and not your filthy mother. I’ll make sure that your husband will do the same thing to you. I will win the game and you should be worrying now because your very rich and handsome husband is slowly falling for me and you can’t do anything about it”

Hara whispers while flashing her evil smile

Sungmin was sitting on the bed while holding an ice bag and a mirror. She was putting some ice on her cheek while staring at the mirror

“He almost breaks my jaw. That was so painful”

Sungmin stares at the mirror and see her cheek that looks like a tomato because Kyuhyun slaps her really hard and her skin is just too sensitive

“Did he really slaps me or he hits me?”

Sungmin carefully touches her cheek

“It’s so painful, but he didn’t even care”

Tears start forming in her eyes as she gently pats the ice bag on her cheek. Kyuhyun went out from the balcony. He walks towards his wife and hands her his mobile phone

“Our son wants to talk to you”

Sungmin stares at Kyuhyun for the meantime before grabbing the phone on her husband’s hand

“Honey”

“MOMMY!!!”

Kibum shouts happily. Sungmin’s tears starts falling from her eyes upon hearing her son’s cheerful voice

“Mommy, I miss you so much as well as daddy”

“I miss you too honey. We’re going home soon”

“Mommy”

“Yes?”

“Are you crying?”

Kibum asks his mother sadly. Sungmin wipes her tears and shook her head

“I’m not crying honey. Mommy is actually sick right now. I have fever and colds, but I’m going to be ok”

“Is daddy taking care of you?”

Sungmin starts sobbing again. She doesn’t know how to answer her son

“Mommy, I’m asking you. Daddy is taking care of you right?”

“Of course honey”

Sungmin lied. Kibum sighs in relief

“Then I’m not going to worry anymore because daddy is taking good care of you. I know that you’re going to be fine soon because daddy is there to take care of you”

“Yes honey”

“Daddy is really sweet”

Kibum smiles brightly. Sungmin wipes her tears and bites her lips to control her tears from falling. She feels so sad for her son because he’s so innocent and he just doesn’t know what is really happening between her and Kyuhyun. But of course, she needs to be strong for her son and she needs to hold on for her son. She doesn’t want Kibum to grow in a broken family, that’s a big no no for her, that’s why she keeps on understanding her husband though she can’t really understand him anymore

“How are you honey? You’re behaving and not giving your grandma and grandpa head ache, right?”

“Yes mommy. I’m being good. I never give them head ache because I don’t want you and daddy to get mad at me. I’m behaving well and studying well so you won’t put Dog inside a cage”

“That’s good”

“Mommy, is my baby sibling already there?”

Kibum asks his mother excitedly. Sungmin holds her forehead

“I’m sorry honey, but I can’t answer your question right now”

“But why?”

Sungmin can hear sadness in her son’s voice

“Honey, I don’t know when your baby sibling will arrive. Just wait for him patiently, arasso?”

“But I want him to arrive now”

“Honey, please don’t give mommy a lot of pressure. I’m not feeling well right now. I’m thinking a lot of things, so please don’t add up or else mommy will be crying again. Do you want that?”

Kibum shook his head

“I don’t want mommy. I’m going to be sad if you’ll cry again. I understand. I’ll just wait patiently to my baby sibling to arrive”

“Arasso. I’m going to sleep now. I’ll see you soon honey. I love you so much”

“I love you too mommy. Take a good rest and get well soon. I love you. Bye”

Kibum hangs up. Sungmin looks at her husband and gives him back his mobile phone

“Minnie, let’s talk”

“Kyu, we don’t need to talk. I just can’t understand why you favor your secretary and your work more than your own wife”

“Stop it ok”

Sungmin stares at him with teary eyes

“Stop what? I’m just telling you what I’m feeling right now”

Tears starts falling from her eyes

“I just can’t understand you anymore. I don’t know what you really want. Baby, I’m your wife and I’m not just an ordinary girl. But why are you treating me like this? You’re treating me as if I’m not your wife. You never listen to me and you never care at all. If you don’t want me to disturb you and if you’re already tired of loving me, fine. Just don’t hurt me like this. You’re hurting me so much. You’re hurting me physically, emotionally and mentally”

Sungmin wipes her tears and lay down on the bed

“We need to talk so don’t sleep”

“I told you that we don’t need to talk”

“We will never fix this problem if you’re not going to talk to me”

“We’re not going to fix anything because the problem is you. You want us to talk? What will happen if we talk? We’re going to reconcile then after a day you’re going to do the same mistake again. There’s no point of talking if you will never mature. We won’t fix anything because we’re going to fight over and over again. If you still want this relationship to work, you need to change and mature”

“Fine, if this is what you want then go ahead”

“Why can’t you understand me?”

“You’re the one who can’t understand me!”

Kyuhyun told her angrily before going out of their room. Sungmin sighs sadly. She hugs a pillow and starts crying like a kid because crying is the only thing that she can do on that moment
