I raised my lifted my head from the pillow with dead-tired/bored eyes.

-Uh?

-The two of them, they are against me!

-So what?

-Can you just have a little a bit of pity for me?

-Nope.

And my face met once again the pillow.

Ama came back for lunch time with the girls and to be nice enough not to let me die in her apartment. I had slept all the morning, all these hours they were in class, partly listening, but mostly telling Val she was an idiot. Why did I sleep? Because I was too lazy to get my of the floor mat or my face of the pillow. To me, this seems like a perfect reason to sleep for hours and hours and doing nothing else.

I felt someone sitting on what was supposed to be my bed and the same person started shaking me softly.

-Help me, Bee. I’ll give chocolate..?

-It makes my head go boom.

-Cow?

-…

I lifted my head, suddenly more interested.

…

And then let my face down again.

-I don’t want to get up. Stop shaking me.

-But...But…Help me! I’ll make that guy come and give you hundreds and tons cows!

-That’d be great. But I still don’t want to get up.

A big silence started, soon interrupted by Val saying:

-Bee saying no to a cow?

And Ama adding:

-Val saying no to Nestea?

And Elena ending with:

-That’s impossible!

I sighed, my face still in the pillow.

-I never said no. I just said I didn’t wan to get up. Who tell you that I can’t help you while being lazy down here?

-No one, I guess.

-Now, bring me these cows.

Ama let out a laugh.

-Bee’s back.

I heard her doing…things in her micro-kitchen.

-Ramen?

She didn’t let anyone answer.

-Fine. I only have that anyway, I’m pleased to know everyone wants that.

After a moment, I finally sat up and rolled myself in a soft blanket.

-Val, explain me why these two are against you, now that I am almost awake. Bee’s listening.

-Well… she started.

-Monkey guy confessed, cut Ama.

-And she ran away, completed ‘Na.

-I DID NOT RUN, I’ve already told you that a hundred times!

-You did.

-Yep, you did.

I simply stared at her.

She tried to do as I wasn’t there.

Tried to.

Failed after a minute.

-What?!

Her voice was slightly in despair.

-Idiot.

-Not you too! Why?

-HE FREAKING TOLD YOU HE LIKED YOU AND YOU RAN AWAY!

Just to be a little clear, I don’t scream. I never scream. I just had more expression to my voice.

I sighed.

-Look. I know what you think. “It’s only been two days”, “I don’t know him” and things like that. It’s normal. But it’s not a reason for ignoring him or for running away or anything like that. I don’t know if it’s the first time it happens, but if it’s the case just relax. It’s not the end of the world and he won’t change just because he told you he may feel something for you. It’s been two days. He doesn’t really know you, but he probably feels that there’s something you have that the others don’t. You have the “thing” he’s searching for…

-s ?

-No, Val. Not s. Well, you do have, but that’s not what I’m talking about… What was it… Ah… Eh… Just… Accept it. He probably knows you’re not so good with people and from how you reacted, he probably found an answer. Don’t run away, don’t ignore him. Just act like you always do. He’s nothing more than the guy you’ve talked with two times. You’ll get to know him more and maybe you’ll feel something for him too. Or not and you two will be friends. Just go with the flow. Or something along those lines.

I smiled. I may not be the smartest girl, I may not have had a thousand boyfriends or lovers or anything near that, but I knew what not to do. Or, if not, I was really good at giving bad advice.
