I wake up screaming, looking into the darkness of my room. I look around madly, my heart beating fast, breathing heavy, thinking the figure that voice came from would be there. Nobody was there, only my black kitten Niki and my white kitten Miki. They were purring quietly, laying the way they always do, on my lap, like the Yin and Yang sign I wore around my neck, one for my soul mate, the other for myself. I went back to sleep soon after, comforted by my kittens, a small breed of cats that will stay small, the size they are when they are 1 year old.
