The next day you were sitting quietly in the study hall, reading one of your lessons when you felt someone occupy the seat across from you and you lifted your gaze to see who it was.

“ Hi there! Can I sit here?” It was Fei, she gave you a bright smile as she placed her bag on the table.

“ Off course you can, silly”  you replied with a small smile on your face.

“ I felt like asking since I don’t know if you still remember me, you haven’t talked to me in weeks!” she joked though you could see the concern in her face.

“ I...I’m sorry...I’ve been busy a lot lately” you told her.

“ And pray tell, what kept you busy?” she smirked asking for details and you sighed.

“ I’m transferring schools...I’m moving to France” you answered  while you saw the shock that registered in her face.

“W-What? France? Why? When??” she asked rapidly and you smiled a little amused.

“ They offered me a Scholarship and I accepted. I’m leaving in two months” you explained and it sadness clearly dawned on your best friend’s face.

“You just told me that now?” she asked and you felt a little guilty because you ignored her the past few weeks.

“ I’m really sorry Fei, I was just...” you tried to come up with something to say but you found it really difficult.

What? I was just angry at you...I don’t want to talk to you...why did you take Luhan from me? Those thoughts swam in your head and you felt like crying so instead you said:

“ I’m sorry again”

“Hey, stop apologizing! It’s okay. I just wished that you have told me that sooner so that I could spend more time with you“ she smiled and pinched your cheeks.

“ Hey stop it! It hurts!” you pouted and she laughed.

“ Sorry! your just too cute! No wonder he-“ she stopped abruptly and gave you an alarmed look, you on the other hand, was not able to catch on so you just gave her an asking glance.

“ Nothing! Just forget about it!” she waved off happily and you smiled.

“ Okay” you said.

After that, the two of you shared a comfortable silence while reading lessons. But being as talkative as Fei was, the two of you also had quite a laugh from some trivial things. That made you happy, even though things have been difficult for you since you Fei and Luhan became closer nothing actually changed with your relationship with her. She was still your best friend and you can never hate her.

“ I have an idea, why don’t we go to our tree house tonight! We could go stargazing just like the old times!”  Fei suggested excitedly as you both began to stand and gather your things.

“ I’m not sure...I have some papers to finish” you said unsurely while she gave you a pleading look.

“Please...You’re leaving in two months! And we haven’t talked in weeks and I really missed you! Plus, tomorrow is Saturday which means that we don’t have classes!  ” she gave you a puppy dog look and you smiled, giving in.

“Okay” you said and she pulled you into a crushing hug which you returned wholeheartedly.

“I would never do anything to hurt you. You are my best friend and I love you...okay?” she said after you two pulled away and you were a little bewildered at her, not quite sure what she meant.

“ Okay...I love you too. We are practically sisters!” you said and the both of you laughed.

“ I am excited for tonight! We will have so much fun, I’ll bring lots of cookies!” you said animatedly as you walked out the study hall.

“ I am sure that tonight would be unforgettable” Fei said with a secret smile.
