I grabbed my jacket and shrugged it on. Summer was long gone and the weather was getting colder day by day but that didn't stop me from going to the beach. Not even after...

His fist landed right on the side of my face my head banging on the wall with a loud thud. I felt dizzy for a while as he stared down at me, breathing heavily.

When he saw I was still moving he snorted.

"You're grounded. You're not going anywhere tonight. Go wash up and head to bed." His voice was so calm now I could think I dreamed all the scene, if not for my stuff all over the floor, knocked chair, broken phone and my painful throbbing cheek.

I hastily headed straight to the shower and it would have taken me hours -like Suzy- if I didn't know a few tricks to get rid of the perfume reek. I pretended going to bed shortly after braiding my damp hair and crawling into bed. Like I thought my dad came checking if I was sleeping half an hour after and went to bed. I waited a bit more to make sure he was sleeping before getting ready once again. Already wearing my outfit under my pj's.

I took the fondation and adjusted the powder on my bruise to set it in. I sighed at myself in the mirror and flashed a weak smile. Even smiling hurts. I turned around turning off the lights.I walked out of my room, taking my purse along, swinging the strap over my shoulder and walked quietly down the stairs, shoes in my hand. I kinda held my breathe until I reached the door. Slowly opening it, I looked up the stairs a last time and closed it behind my back as quietly as I could. I took a deep breath and donned my sneakers before walking throught the frontgarden. 

The night was chilly but beautiful the sky a pitch dark blue marvelled by some bright stars here and there.

I only felt relieved when I was a block away from my house a smile growing on my face. It's the first time I disobeid my dad and most of all sneaked out of the house. I walked with a skip in my steps to the desert bus stop, checking up the bus schedule. I left around ten so there might be one anytime soon now.

I was glad. And excited. I really couldn't wait. 

I sat down on the bench and looked around swinging my legs slightly. It was dark except for the crackling lamp post near the bus stop periodically flashing on and off.

The light  went off a bit longer this time and when it came back on, a tall guy with a hood on was standing next to me. It seriously freaked me out for a moment.  

He smiled at me approaching the bench I was sitting on slightly pulling his hood off, the spotlight enlightening his face. He was very handsome. 

"Don't I know you?" He asked smiling down at me. Handsome creep.

"Uhh.." I frowned looking at him. "No?"  I replied after thinking for a minute or so.

"Yes, I do know you." The boy smiled sitting next to me hands in his hoodies' pockets. "You're Bae Suzy's little sister, SuHye, isn't it?" He stated. I was really trying to remember if I knew that guy from somewhere and he did seem familiar but I couldn't quite grab it. 

Of course lot of people know Suzy and some of them know me as "Suzy's sister" if they even aknowledge my existence. But this guy knew my name.

"Who are you?" I finally asked him. 

"Can't you remember me?" He laughed playfully nudging me with his elbow. I shook my head and looked at him confused. 

"The name's Park JungMin. Rings a bell?" He chuckled. Then it hit me and I shot up in deep shock. 

"Oh my.. JungMin Oppa?" I gasped in realisation. JungMin laughed and nodded. 

"Surprise~" He laughed at my flabbergasted face. "Fine I see how it is." He sighed heavily. "I'm not around  for a few days and you already forget about me." He said in a sad tone shaking his head."

"A few days? You've been away for years!" I scoffed. 

"Right so we've got a lot of hugs to catch up with!!~" He sing sang taking his hands off his pockets and embraced me rocking us side to side making me laugh. 

"Omo Oppa, you've changed so much!!" I noted pushing him at arm lengh observing him carefully.

"Did I?" He pouted hugging me again resting his cheek on my head. Our heigh difference was comical.

"Yeh you were so.." skinny, frail, pimpled "And now you're so..." hot,Hot,HOT. I said trailing off on my thoughts feeling my cheeks heating up. I looked up at him grabbing his face, tilting it left and right in wonder. When I was about to grab his cheeks JungMin took my hands in his squeezing them once. 

"I didn't get any work done I swear! And don't you dare pinch my face you prick! I remember it being your favorite way to torture me." He playfully scolded. I was still very shocked yet so happy to see him again. "Oh! The bus' here" He said making a sign so it would stop and threw an arm around my shoulders before climbing up.

"I thought you were overseas with HyoYeon to attempt a fancy college?!" I told him when we took our seats his arm still over my shoulders. JungMin smiled and nodded.

"Yeh and that was like... five years ago!!" He laughed flicking my forehead. "I have graduated now." He proudly said. I frowned counting on my fingers.

"No, it hadn't been five years yet!" I guffawed. "But four and half!" I stated. " What did you major by the way?" JungMin smiled at my fussy remark before leaning his head on mine. 

"I majored Music Arts and I still remember a promise I made to some girl." He taunted. 

"You do?"

"Yes silly, I will learn you how to play the guitar since I'm back." He smiled. "I at it before I left but I've been learning and practicing for years now. Plus my housemate was a guitarist." He added pinching my cheek.

I nodded smiling and embraced him, he seemed surprised but didn't pull back. JungMin used to be the most clingy of us two, always initiating all the skinship.

"I'm really happy you came back Oppa. I missed you." I muttered while I held him tighter. 

"Me too, I missed your smile." He whispered. "But from now on, I'll protect you." That deeply touched me as I felt myself tearing up but I blinked several times quickly not to cry just then. "I've got your back lil Sun" 

"Thank you, oppa..." I smiled.

Park JungMin is my friend's older brother.JiYeon and I were always together since kindergarten, and JungMin treated me like I was his other baby sister. He've been found of me since then and all that, long before my mom's death and the remariage.

Years later JiYeon changed school due to bullying and was sent away in a boardschool. We lost contact but JungMin always stayed by my side. He also used to be popular just like JinYoung now, but more in a kind and helpful way. Not for being a jerk. JungMin have been president of the school's students council and leader of the school's dance club. But JungMin was more special to me. He actually was my first love. But.. well I never confessed and he was seeing me like a little sister anyway, not to mention his girlfriend HyoYeon so whatever. I also like to think he was my first kiss. He was there that day and..who else could it be?

He hugged me back tightly shaking me playfully while humming. 

"Where are you heading to at this hour?"

"There's a party at the beach, I'm going to join my friends"

"Really? That's also where I'm going!" JungMin laughed. "HyoYeon will be there too." 

"Great!" I really liked HyoYeon. She was beautiful and kind and just perfect for him. 

After a while the bus arrived. JungMin led me to the doors climbing down first and held his hand out for me to take. I hopped down smiling at him and we started walking to the beach.

"Wait!" He called tugging on my hand. "Here" He grinned untying my hair who fell on lose waves on my shoulders. "Much better" He said winking at me before hooking his arm in mine.

He still was looking after me.

 "Woah~" Sandeul said taking out a  ginormous marshmallow from the bag grinning from ear to ear before stabbing it mercilessly on a woodden stick. He then proceeded in putting it near the fire set on the beach. "Delicious~!!" He told me with a smile winking at me as the candy was slightly changing from pale to a delicious golden color, the caramelized scent filling the air.

Finally there wasn't much people there so ShinWoo was quietly reading a book at the light of the bonfire, sat on a beach towel as GongChan and Baro where busy running after each other while "Umma" Sandeul was preparing some grilled marshmallows.

I laughed looking at them and took the stick with hot grilled marshmallows that JungMin was handing me. He wrapped his arm around my shoulders and sat down with me on the sand. 

The atmosphere was very good despite I barely knew anyone there. People just talked happily, cracking jokes and getting drunk. JungMin's sudden appearance making him the night's main attraction. Being the popular, friendly, social butterfly he was, he kept talking with everyone flashing me a smile time to time from a distance. 

"Tell us one more time, what did you do after you got into that college?!" Suzy cheerfully asked. 

"Well, I was singing in the hallways when a teacher came to me saying-"

I looked at him as he told his story. Once again. He looked so handsome with the light of the fire reflecting in his dark brown eyes, his hood half hidding his dark black short hair ruffled by the wind. Even if he got older, he still looked handsome. Maybe a bit more.

I always felt like I was special with him because he cared about me and made me feel important. I guess that's mostly why I first had a crush on him. I wasn't useless or stupid, according to him but smart and pretty. Of course my current friends also care about me but it felt different coming from JungMin.

Everyone cracked up when he had hit the funny part and even I, couldn't help but chuckle with the others. Until Suzy in her glorious drunken state brought up what happenned earlier. Telling everyone the fight we had. I couldn't help but laugh bitterly as she was publicly making fun of me.  

"You should have seen her face~" Suzy drunkily laughed pointing at me. I was now smiling awkwardly wishing the ground could swallow me at the very minute. That's when JungMin came to me. 

"Shall we have a stroll by the sea?" He asked smiling at me, crouching down in front of me blocking Suzy from my sight. I nodded taking the hand he was proposing me to get up and followed him. I looked at ShinWoo and he smiled at me, letting me know it was ok to leave in a glance.

JungMin didn't let go of my hand even after a while so we swung them while walking in the damp sand bare feet, away from the party. Looking back I think I saw JinYoung looking at us while the others just kept on laughing and being idiotic. But I might be wrong. Even wearing my lenses I'm not seeing that well in the dark.

I shrugged it off and kept walking hand in hand with JungMin like when I was younger. I stared up at the sky and pointed the stars. "The sky's so bright tonigh! Look at all those stars~ " I beamed. JungMin stopped walking and still holding my hand he back hugged me. He then took my free hand pointing it to the other direction. "And there you have the stars of Orion." He told me his chin on my head.

"I know." I said smiling to myself remembering the time we used to go stargazing together. That's where his pet name for me Lil Sun came from. Because "the sun in the brightest star of all" he told me once." And this one is the Polar Star right?" I asked him, moving our hands so they pointed somewhere lower in the sky. 

"My lil Sun's so smart. You still remember after all those years" He hummed kissing my hair and embracing me tighter. "Aaahh... Where did the time go?" He muttered. 

"You smell so good." He whispered and I felt a shiver run down my spine. I giggled and elbowed him softly in the ribs. He tried to avoid me but failed and stumbled backward releasing me. He narrowed his eyes bitting his lower lip. "This is it." He growled as I stuck out my tongue at him and ran away. JungMin chased me and quickly caught me grabbing my waist and making me spin around before lifting me in his arms bridal style. He then ran to the sea with me still in his arms.

"No, Oppa~ Don't!"  I cried and struggled to break free laughing.

"Ooh, look, what we've got here? Water~ " He said bending down making me squeal louder as I felt cold water soaking my .

"Opppa~~!!! Let go~!!! It's cold!!" I yelled laughing. 

"Alright" He smirked before dropping me in the water. I fell into the knee-deep water and shrieked from the sudden coldness. I rapidly stood up and started splashing water at him, making him shriek too.

"Take it like a man! That's for making me wet~! You idiot!" I laughed chasing him. 

JungMin kept glaping unmanly while running to the shore as I kept chasing him on the beach, now throwing sand at him until we both got stopped by JinYoung. He was standing there looking a little strange. 

"It's time to walk them home and I kinda need your help" He told JungMin who nodded.

"I'll go first then. Suzy is heavy so I'll need more time to  drag her home." He joked before making a salute sign and ran away. I laughed at him until JinYoung and I were left alone. 

JinYoung walked closer to me and for an instant, I thought that he was going to ignore me, as usual. But instead, he took off his jacket and put it over my shoulders. I glanced at him confused with a blush crepping on my cheeks adverting my eyes right away to the floor, as he was standing so close to me. When I looked again he was looking down at me very intently. 

He lifted up his hand and my cheek while his thumb rubbed under my eye making my breathe itch. His eyes roamed from my eyes to my lips and my eyes again. His face inched closer and for a second, I thought he was going to kiss me, parting his lips slightly... 

"Where did you get that black eye ?"
