After the argument, Haewon and Na Eun had, tension was in the air. Ae Cha tried to calm it as best she could, however, never in a million years did she it would happen, what just happened right before her eyes, with a group that way just about to debut.
“Since there were some difficulties with the pairings, why don’t we try a solo game, for now.” She suggested as she got the next game setup.
One short girl with incredible pale skin walked forward to help Ae Cha setup, and get an edge over the competition.
She wore a white and black fitted hoodie, with a black cut up shirt over it. She wore gray faded jeans with grey converse to match. Her lips were stained with a dark lipstick that contrasted her skin ever so nicely.
She was competitive, and since the name of the game wasn’t announced she decided to find out.
“May I help you?” She smiled at Ae Cha.
“Oh! Avery, I didn’t see you come in this morning, I was wondering if you were sick or something.” Ae Cha addressed the girl.
“Or something.” She joked as she moved an item Ae Cha had handed her. “What’s this for?” She looked at the object, it was a boombox.
Ae Cha laughed, “Oh, you know that game you played as a child?” She began to her questioning.
Avery began to think back at her childhood, she couldn’t say she had much time to play games, she was always homeschooled.
“Which one?” She wondered.
Ae Cha laughed, “Oh, Freeze Dance.”
Avery looked at her oddly. Ae Cha sighed she began to think maybe these kids didn’t play that in their your ages, and maybe she was just aging herself.
“Well, someone plays music and you dance, one the music stops, you freeze. If you get caught moving after the music stops you are out.” Ae Cha explained to Avery.
“Sounds like fun!” Avery cheered as a smile grew on her face.
When they were finished setting up, Ae Cha called everyone to order. “OK EVERYONE! The next game will be individual. We will be playing FREEZE DANCE!” There were some cheers from the kids while others groaned at playing such a childish game.
“The rules are simple!” Ae Cha carried on regardless of the kids’ reactions. “When the music plays, you dance. When the music stops you freeze. If the music stops and you move you are out. The same thing goes for those who do not dance when the music plays, that’s cheating.” She paused to look at the group to see if everyone understood. She smiled, “Alright let’s begin!”
Ae Cha played the first song. It was Chris Brown’s ‘I can Transform Ya.’ Immedately, the dancers grabbed attention. Daejung was quickly noticed for his robotic like dance. He popped and turned to the robotic noises from the song.
Jae Rin was popping her hips and legs with ease. She had a strong hip hop style with powerful hip movements that made her look y. While Jihyeon, went with it solely in a y manner showing off her womanish charm.
Ae Cha stopped the music. She looked around to make sure no one was moving before playing the music again.
Much to everyone’s surprise, Minki was no longer tired, or at least while she was dancing. She showed off her strong and powerfully swift popping movements, before occasionally trading off to a smooth wave like movements when the songs pace would change.
Meanwhile, Haewon, despite his unusual height, was moving to the song with precise movements.   Here or there, there would be a powerful move that caused his feet to leave the ground, making him taller than he was before.
Once again, the music stopped. Ae Cha scanned the ground and saw Ae Rin, finishing a dance move, unable to stop quickly enough. Ae Rin was so into the dance that she wasn’t prepare for when it stopped.
“Ae Rin!” Ae Cha called to her. Ae Rin knew what this meant. She was pouting, she was disappointed that she was the first one out.  “You’re out!” Ae Cha spoke the words Ae Rin didn’t want to hear.
Ae Rin sighed as her head hung low. “Why don’t you come up here and help me with judging.” Ae Cha offered, “ I need an extra pair of eyes.”
Ae Rin smiled, it was better than sitting on the sidelines.
The song changed, Ae Rin’s choice. It was Teen Top’s ‘Crazy.’ With the change of the song, there was a change is dance styles. Kairi, actually new the choreography of the song and began to replicate it perfectly. While Bochil, danced more fluid movements. He would add a wave here and there. He would move his feet quickly as well, but it seemed like his feet never left the ground, he just slide against the floor.
Ae Rin, as a joke, quickly stopped the song and played it again, causing confusion of the floor. She pressed the button one more time causing silence that meant for them to freeze.
Several people were still moving after Ae Rin’s surprising trick. Ki Jun who was still dancing, had to finish the turn he was in before he could freeze or else he would have been on the floor. Avery was in her own world that she didn’t even realize the music stopped, she just kept dancing singing the rest of the song in her head and dancing the moves. Hyun Ju though she stopped in time, froze in an awkward position and unfortunately, it caused he to fall over.
“Ki Jun, Avery, Hyun Ju!” Ae Cha called, “You’re out.” She pointed her thumb to the side telling them to get off the dance floor.
Once again the song was changed. This time is was another American song. It was Usher’s ‘Scream.’ It created a club like atmosphere. While some girls, were swaying the hips and waving their bodies, Riley kept to her boyish charm. She was using strong movements and still looked without giving attention to the more appealing points of the body.  Da Seung was dancing his heart out. He kept changing the style as the song went on. But once again, the song had stopped, causing some people to fall over. “Riley, Kairi, Bochil, you’re out!” Ae Cha called as the selected trainees left the floor.
The next song was BToB’s ‘Wow.’ Some trainees knew the rookie’s choregraphy, while others made up their own dance to the 90’s styled song. Hwang Geum had a cool style to her while she danced. During some parts of the song, she would show off her y side, mostly during the bridge. During the chorus she would kick her feet out from under her, hopping to the beat. Baeyoung knew some the dance, and danced what he knew. When he didn’t know, he would rock to the beat and move fluidly from one motion to another. He used a lot of legwork and used swift motins with his hands. Na Eun had a hard hip-hop style to her. She had fast and strong movements as she danced to the song, which wasn’t the style of the song, but she made it work.
Again, the music was stopped. Ae Cha didn’t wait before she began to call the losers, “Na Eun, Haewon, Da Seung, You’re out!” Ae Cha called. As Na Eun and Haewon left the dancing area, they couldn’t help but glare at each other.
The next song was B.A.P.’s hit debut song ‘Warrior.’ And being trainees under the same company everyone was dancing the chorus, some sang along. During the dance break, Chanhee couldn’t help but show off his awesome bboying skills. He got low to the ground and with centripetal force, he spun on his back for what seemed like forever.
But once again, the song stopped and Chanhee didn’t have time to stop when the music stopped.
“Chanhee… out!” Ae Cha called immediately as her eyes scanned the rest, “Hwang Geum, Jae Rin, are out!”
The next song was TASTY’s ‘You know me.’ Everyone began to dance. Kyuchae had danced in a feminine way, but she had strong movements. Her hip movements were just as strong. When the chorus came on, she would dance the dance that the twins were so famous for. During the break down, she took on a smooth isolated dance.
However, as always, the song had to stop. “Jihyeon, Baeyoung, and Kyuchae are out!”
Now only two people were left, Minki and Daejung. Instead of doing freeze dancing, a dance off was held. The song was randomly chosen. For fun, it was Secret’s ‘Poison.’
Daejung wasn’t comfortable with the dance, but to make things worse he couldn’t get comfortable with all the people he wasn’t used to looking at him.
Minki immediately copied the movements of the choreography from Secret’s lastest song. As a girl, it was easy for her.
Daejung began to do the same. He did well. His body moved in a way that wasn’t natural. He ignored the set choreography and did his own moves. When the song ended, a winner was called.
Much to Daejung’s displeasure, he hadn’t won, he knew it was only because of the song choice.
“Minki wins!” Ae Cha cheered as others followed along. Haewon and Bochil meet up with their friend. They hit his back to cheer him up.
“It was rigged.” Bochil joked.
“You’ll get them next time.” Haewon encouraged. Daejung nodded, there was more than just this game to win anyways.
