Her long legs protruded out of her gym shorts, and her curvy, not skinny, body was showcased. She tied her thick hair up effortlessly with a hair-tie.   A couple of guys appreciatively whistled as Hana soaked up all the attention.   From the corner of his eye, Daehyun, unnoticed by Hana, took a sip from his water bottle in displeasure. Feeling slightly down, he stretched his arms. *I’m in this period too.* He shared the same gym period as her, yet the two classes shared the gym into halves.   “Alright, kids.” Coach Seo clapped his hands, “I know the two classes that have gym this period usually have it separately, but for today, we’re going to merge the classes in a game of dodgeball.”   While the coach droned on about rules, Hana glanced around, looking for Kai, who was in the same class as her. She pouted when she didn’t spot him.   *Phooey. Jongin’s not even here. I have no one to talk to…* Hana made a dissatisfied expression until a certain blondie caught her eye.   *Daehyun?* Her frown instantly turned upside down. Daehyun was blowing on his bangs and contemplating on pinning them up with a bobby pin.   “…so we’ll start with putting you guys into teams. Team A will be on the right side of the court, while Team B will be on the left. Get it? Got it? Good!” Coach peered down at his attendance list, “Heo Yoonjae, Team A!”   Hana silently kept her fingers crossed. She sure didn’t want to be the one to pummel poor Daehyun. *It would be a waste to have a bruise on his cute face…*   “Shin Boyoung, Team A! Jung Daehyun, Team B!”   Hana almost whimpered when Daehyun awkwardly stood up and moved to the left side of the court. *Look at those skinny chicken legs. He won’t be able to defend himself unless he’s a dodgeball genius!*   “Kim Soohyun, Team B! Park Chaeri, Team B! Shin Wonho, Team A!”   Hana stared as one of these so called ‘dodgeball geniuses’ crossed the floor, smiling all too brightly.     Shin Wonho, a youthful looking senior, was a nice enough guy. He was cute and always had funny stories to tell. However, Hana knew that he had a bad side. His competitive streak was insane, and on top of that, he was a brainer at all sports—especially dodgeball, his favourite.   Wonho noticed Hana’s stare and he smiled kindly at her, too innocent for her liking. *Great. He’s on the opposite team of Daehyun. No doubt, he’s gonna pummel them all out.* Hana frowned at the pretty boy. *I have to be on Daehyun’s team for sure.*   “Kang Hana…” The coach slurred, looking up from his clipboard.   *Team B, Team B, Team B!* Hana chanted in her head.   “…Team A!”   “NO!” Hana shouted in displeasure, a bit too loudly. The gym was silent, but Hana didn’t really care.   Daehyun cracked a small grin.   “Aish!” Hana frowned deeply, “AISH!” She stomped her feet as she grudgingly dragged herself over to the A team. *What rotten luck I have.*   Wonho let out a small chuckle as Hana narrowed her eyes at him, crossed her arms huffily, and looked away.   “Um, Hana-sshi?”   Hana grimaced and looked at Park Chaeri, a petite little girl with a hopeful look on her face.   “Do you want to switch teams with me?”   Hana straightened up, “Huh?”   “Well, it seems like you’re not happy with your team, and I don’t mind switching…” Chaeri twirled her ponytails with an amiable, unsure smile.   Instantly, Hana switched 180 degrees. “Seriously? Can you?!”   “Sure.” She shrugged.   Hana let out her brightest beam, “Assa! Thanks! Then, I’ll leave this to you!” She handed Chaeri the A team’s red jersey.   “You too,” Chaeri gave her the B team’s blue one.   Hana slipped it on and practically shone, “Thanks again, Chaeri! I’ll treat you to something next time!” She patted her shoulder and hopped over to the B team.   Puzzled and slightly amused, she smiled.   Wonho watched as Hana skipped over to Daehyun, hooking her arm through his.   “Daehyunnie! We’re on the same team!” She cheered.   Daehyun rolled his eyes and pulled her arm off, “Yay.”   But Hana quickly latched herself back on, “Don’t worry, you wimp. I’m pretty decent at dodgeball. I came to protect you from that big baddie, Shin Wonho.”   “Shin Won who?” He tilted his head to one side and stared at the people behind Hana in an obvious manner.   Hana sighed and tightened her ponytail, “Don’t worry about it. Just don’t make eye contact with the pretty boy in red. I’ve got it all covered.”   “What? There’s lots of pretty boys in red. Which one are you talking about?”   “Not Kim Soohyun, you pabo! Shin Won—argh! Never mind. Just try your best to stay in the game!” Hana urged, pumping her fists.   “Ready, set—TWEET!” The coach blew his whistle loudly.   In a rush, students lunged for the three dodgeballs that were placed on the gym floor.
