She whistled an idol group’s song that she heard on TV recently as she tossed her hair over her shoulder, trying to get it out of her face.   “H-Hello, sunbae!” A younger male hoobae shyly greeted as she passed by. Hana energetically smiled, “Annyeong.”   Hana could almost hear the young man whooping in victory to his friends. She let out a small, satisfied grin and walked to her locker. It was obvious that she was still the center of attention.   When she dialed in the combination and swung the door open, a yellow sticky note fell out of it. Curiously, she picked it up and read it quickly.   Noona, I’m heading home first! –Junhong.   Hana chuckled to herself and tucked the note into her pocket. *That punk. He finally admitted his name to be Junhong instead of Zelo. What an achievement.* After putting away all the necessary books, Hana slammed her locker shut and walked out the doors.   Her face lit up when she saw a familiar figure lingering near the school’s entrance gates.   “Dahee!”   Dahee, who was playing absentmindedly with the straps of her backpack, turned around and waved her friend over with a smile. Hana waved back and met up with her.   “The two kiddies left for dance practice,” Dahee made a face, as if reading Hana’s mind. “They left in Kai’s Porsche.”   Hana knowingly grinned and hooked her arm with Dahee’s, “Eh, forget them. Wanna come over to my house for cookies instead? I made them yesterday when I was bored.”   Dahee blinked at her, “You made cookies? Not your personal chefs or maids?”   Hana shrugged, “All those dessert making classes had to go somewhere.” Dahee laughed at her response as Hana beamed, “So? Are you in?”   Dahee stopped laughing and patted Hana’s arm, “Honestly, I was actually looking forward to going on a date with Jongin, but now I can’t agree with you more. Forget boys. Let’s go eat cookies!” She looked pumped up now.   Hana burst out laughing at Dahee’s unexpected behaviour. “Araso. Let’s go.” From afar, she spotted her white Rolls Royce driving over to them. The two both got in just as Daehyun exited the school.   Daehyun caught a glimpse of it just before it drove off. *No doubt about it. That car was the Queen’s.* He blinked at the place where it was just parked a second ago. *Must be nice to be rich.*   Immediately, Daehyun shook his head, snapped out of it, and unchained his bike. In the midst of his daze, he suddenly heard pants from behind him. He quickly turned around, “Youngjae.”   “Sorry, Daehyun. I have to go on ahead. My dad wants me to visit his company right after school today.” Youngjae frowned.   Daehyun chortled, “Don’t worry about it. I have to get to my job anyways.”   “Thanks. I’ll treat you to ice cream tomorrow instead!” He waved and disappeared in the direction of the parking lot. Daehyun watched him leave as he in a breath and softly smiled.   Not long after, he got onto his bicycle and pedalled all the way to the florist’s.   ----------------------------------------   “I’m home!” Hana called as she opened the door. Dahee trailed behind her, politely taking off her shoes at the door.   Immediately, a few maids bowed at her, taking her backpack and hoodie, “Welcome back, agashi and Miss Dahee.”   “Hello.” Dahee gave an awkward wave. Her parents were rich, but she didn’t have maids that tended to her every need.   Hana’s personal maid, Jooyeon—the one from this morning, gave Hana a small, courteous smile. “Would you like any snacks, Miss Hana?”   “Yes. Please bring a warm plate of yesterday’s cookies and three glasses of milk upstairs to my room as soon as you can.” Hana calmly ordered.   Jooyeon bowed, “Right away, Miss Hana.” Hana gave her a thankful smile before the maid left.   The two friends headed upstairs when the door to Hayoung’s room flung open.   “Unnie.” Hana blinked at her in surprise. Her tone of voice wasn’t friendly, but it wasn’t cold either.   Hayoung—looking gorgeous as ever—stared blankly at the two. It appeared as if she was going out.   “Oh. It’s you.” Hayoung dully looked at Dahee. To at least show courtesy, Dahee bowed her head a bit in greeting, but Hana could tell that she was ticked off by her hard look.   “Hayoung unnie.” Hana hissed, offended by Hayoung’s indifferent attitude towards her friend. She scanned her clothes, “Where are you going, anyways? Father said that we’re not allowed to—“   “It’s none of your business, dongsaeng.” Hayoung purposely bumped her shoulder into Hana’s as she passed her down the stairs. Her tone of voice was almost mocking. “I don’t care what the old man says anyways. He’s never here, so why should I follow his rules?”   Hana’s expression was unreadable for a second as the door slammed shut. She closed her eyes and forced herself to breathe in and out at a steady pace.   Dahee worriedly put a hand on her shoulder, “Hana.”   As if on cue, Hana smiled a bit at her, “I’m fine.
