Telepathy
Heart Skips A Beat
“SO, YOU… CRASHED INTO THE SENIOR, PARK… PARK CHORONG? Eunji’s eyes widen as she couldn’t believe what she just heard coming out from Bomi’s mouth. How can her friend be so unlucky in a day?
Bomi buried her face under her pillow, still feeling embarrassed upon telling the incident to her roommate and the only best friend she had in the college. “Aarghh…!” she yelled while jerking her legs in the air, like a 10-year-old child. “The Gorilla incident was brought up again, thanks to this!” Bomi yelled helplessly.
Park Chorong.
The name crept up Bomi’s mind. Park Chorong was the daughter of a rich businessman, who practically owned 30% of the college’s investments. She was known to be a good friend of the actress, Son Naeun, in which, whenever the two hung out, it would became the college’s headlines. Guys would fell head over heels about them, and not to mention, they were always swarmed around by a group of male students, who couldn’t get enough of the two “princesses” of Cube Art Academy.
“Isn’t she’s dating Nam Woohyun?” Eunji asked while scooting over Bomi’s bed. She pulled the pillow away from Bomi’s face, exposing Bomi’s messy hair and frustrated looking face.
“How am I supposed to know anyway?” Bomi answered uninterestedly, while getting herself up from the bed. She had definitely heard a few rumours circulating that their senior, Park Chorong was dating a male student from Woolim Academy. But as she felt that it wasn’t her business, so she never really cared or even gave a thought about it. Well, why would she care for Park Chorong?
“Calm down, Bbom-ah,” said Eunji while putting her right arm around Bomi’s shoulder, patting her, trying to make her best friend feel better. “Sleep it off; I’m sure everyone’s going to forget about the incident by tomorrow.” Eunji smiled brightly towards her roommate, showing her eye-smiles, while not forgetting to pinch Bomi’s cheek again, before heading back to her bed.
Bomi groaned as she retorted inside, “Yeah, it’s easier for you to say.”
20 kilometres away from the college’s dorm, Park Chorong found herself thinking of the same incident that had happened a few hours ago. She was lying comfortably on her queen-sized bed, with large double pillows and animal dolls scattered everywhere on her bed. Being born into a rich family, Park Chorong, was given many privileges that most students would not have. She had her own driver whose job is to take and to fetch her from college each day, she didn’t have to join any outdoor camping activities or sports and her bedroom was almost 3 times larger than the cramp-sized, double-bed college’s dorm. She didn’t have to worry about college’s expenses or failing her grades, as she knew that she would always have her rich parents to rely to.
She was basically a living real-life princess, who had life going in her ways.
Yoon Bomi? Chorong muttered the name to herself. For almost 4 years of studying in Cube Art Academy, she had never once stumbled upon the name, nor seeing the girl’s presence in the college. How did this girl live her college life without being noticed?
Flashback
Park Chorong was almost certain that she had never come across with the girl who crashed into her an hour ago. Filled up with curiosity, Chorong got up from her seat and walked towards the group of male students who sat behind their table at the café. Son Naeun, who was seating next to her, was in a slight confusion, as she watched her friend, making her way towards them.
“Hey.” Chorong greeted the guys as the guys were squealing, feeling excited as this was literally the first time, Park Chorong had finally acknowledged the boys’ presence. Despite having so many male students gushing over Chorong, she had never even once been bothered about them. All of the love letters that she received will be thrown away without having her reading it, and tons of her gifts will be donated to the charity instead. That was how cold Chorong towards them.
“The girl that bumped into me just now, what’s her name?” Chorong asked with a straight face. Not giving any smiles, just a plain talking voice. However, Chorong’s sweet, baby-voiced was enough to make the boys squealed and smiling from ear to ear.
“Her name is Yoon Bomi but we all know her as the gorilla girl.” One of the boys answered shyly. Another boy added in, “Her gorilla imitation was so epic!” The other boys continued to mock, laughing non-stop.
Flashback ended
Yoon Bomi. Gorilla girl. Chorong found herself smiling while thinking of how ridiculous was the nickname given to that girl.
What an interesting character…
