Daesung’s Pov

I opened my eyes, I didn’t know how long I had been standing there, all I knew was that I was alone and she was gone.

Seunghyun: “Dae, what are you doing?”

Daesung: “She was just here”.

Seunghyun: “Who, Ji-an where did she go?”

Ji-an, why would I be with Ji-an? It was Mi Rin who my heart seeks and no one else however, I remember we had offered to look for Ji-an, who had been missing:

Daesung: “No, Mi Rin she was just here and then she was gone”.

Seunghyun looked disappointed at my answer, I couldn’t blame him for feeling that way since I would feel the same if Mi Rin would disappear just like that. Why couldn’t she just stay by my side? I could protect and love her no matter what.

Jiyong: “Hey guys”.

I looked at Jiyong walking hand in hand with In-an. I turned to see if Seunghyun was seeing the same thing I was, he looked confused, I turned back and looked straight at In-an, who quickly let go of Jiyong’s hand and he turn towards her, she just kept her eyes on me:

Jiyong: “In-an, what the…”

In-an: “Have you two see Ji-an?”

Seunghyun: “No, I haven’t been able to find here anywhere”.

I had been so distracted with Mi Rin, I had not looked for Ji-an properly. I needed to help them but how can I help them if I’m lost myself?

Mi Rin: “In-an did you find her?”

That was her voice; I must have been imagining her voice however there she was standing next to Jaejoong. Why was she with Jaejoong?

In-an: “Jae, what are you doing here?”

In-an walked towards Jaejoong with any second thoughts, this surprised Jiyong, Seunghyun and even myself. How easily they went to other people but us, why did they always run away from us yet be so close the others?

Jaejoong: “I walking my friend’s dog and I saw Mi Rin and she told me you were looking for Ji-an?”

He seemed to know them well, he spoken so freely to them:

Da-young: “What a cute puppy”.

Da-young came running towards the puppy without greeting anyone, she was not alone Giovanna was with her:

Da-young: “Oppa, is she yours?”

Seungri: “Oppa?!”

I turn to find our friendly young member with a furious expression on his face. He was about to go near Da-young when Seunghyun stopped him:

Jaejoong: “No Da-young she belongs to a friend of mine”.

Da-young: “Well she’s cute oppa”.

In-an and Mi Rin both laugh along side with Gio and Jaejoong at Da-young’s carefree soul:

M Rin: “Jaejoong oppa, can you really help us look for Ji-an?”

Did I just hear correctly? She called him oppa when she kissed me. How long do these girls know Jaejoong?

Jaejoong: “Sure where do I start?”

Jiyong: “I don’t think that will be necessary”.

I could hear anger mixed with jealousy in my hyung’s voice and the way he looked at Jaejoong:

In-an: “Jaejoong, my boyfriend Jaejoong can help if he wants too”.

Jiyong: “Boyfriend!?!”

Jaejoong: “Yes her boyfriend, Jiyong”.

Oh he was totally dead now as he dapped an arm over In-an’s shoulder. Seunghyun and I had to hold Jiyong from doing anything stupid, I could tell he was furious, I turn to look at In-an who was looking up at Jaejoong:

Giovanna: “Well why don’t we continue to look for Ji-an?”

In-an: “That’s what we should be doing?”

Mi Rin: “Wait where’s Sa-rang?”

Sa-rang, she reminded me of Taeyang, he was not with us, where they together or missing?

Seungri: “She might be with Taeyang”.

Giovanna snapped her head up, she gave Seungri a bone chilling stare as she spoke to In-an:

Gio: “Why would she be with Taeyang, In-an?

In-an: “I wouldn’t know but I doubt she’s with him”.

Gio: “You doubt it? You should be sure she’s not with him”.

The raise in her voice made the girls flinch, to me, it seem like Giovanna didn’t want the girls to be anywhere near any of us. The questions here were why didn’t she want us close to them? What could she be hiding? What was the mystery behind these girls?

Da-young: “Instead of getting mad, we should just keep looking for Ji-an”.

Giovanna: “No.”

We all turn to look at Giovanna, she was standing there completely zoned out, and there was a look of hatred in her eyes:

Gio: “We’ll stop for tonight now let’s go home”.

In-an: “We can’t do that”.

Gio: “We are leaving now!”

I had never seen Gio so mad, I wanted to get Mi Rin along but now she was being dragged home. I wonder why they always listen to Gio. It was as if Gio had some control over them, like some way they need her. I was still holding a very annoyed Jiyong:

Seunghyun: “Calm down, Ji”.

Jiyong: “Let go then”.

I looked at Seunghyun and he nodded, we let go of Jiyong as soon as we released him, he looked at In-an:

Jiyong: “Guess we are not needed here”.

Mi Rin’s Pov

Jiyong spoke with so much anger and coldness as he looked at In-an, I stole a glance at her, his words cut here and deeply:

Daesung: “You’re right Hyung, we are not needed here”.

I looked at Daesung who was looking at me more like glaring at me; I was using everything in my power to not ran and hug him. My lips seem to be missing something; they felt bare and alone much like my heart did. I had hurt the most beautiful person, my angel, the one who pulled me from my nightmare and thanked him by causing him pain. I wish I had never seen the pain and hurt that drew themselves in his eyes, I wish he could see my longing for him in my.

Gio: “You’re right, thank you for your unwanted help but we won’t need it anymore”.

My starring contest with Daesung broke as Giovanna called our names, we followed her helplessly. She was after all my mother, the only one who can care for us; she’s just like us, the one that can protect us. Once we arrive at home, Giovanna went straight to her small home office and locked herself in there. I followed In-an upstairs she sent to her room and I stopped in front of a mirror, I looked so great, my skin was perfect, my hair looked great, I look great but I felt so empty like I was missing something or someone, I had to stop lying to myself:

Mi Rin: “I like him”.

I said to my reflection in a sad and sorrowful whisper yet I could only do him more harm:

Mi Rin: “I really do like him a lot”.

I was about to go into my room when I notice I wasn’t alone, I turn to find In-an, Da-young and a cold Sa-rang, they had heard my quite confession I didn’t know what to say, In-an came close to me. I thought she was going to scream or even hit me but instead she just hugged me:

In-an: “We know how you feel”.

She let go of me as the other two came to stand right behind her:

In-an: “We fell in love”

I gave her a bitter sweet smile, I was happy I was not alone in this yet I felt bad that something so beautiful like falling in love could cause so much pain and heart break.

Mi Rin: “Really?”

Da-young: “Yup, we also feel the same thing you do, Mi Mi”.

Ji-an: “Come one let’s go inside the room, the hallway seem to have ears”.

We understood what she meant, the house use to be a safe haven now it seem like a prison where we were being watched. The freedom I had once felt in this home had disappeared and the blind trust I have for Giovanna, my mother, is slowly fading away. We decide to go into my room, I had many questions for them, we all settle down in my room and Da-young seem like she wanted to ask me something:

Mi Rin: “What’s your question, Youngie?” 

She seemed a little nervous, she even let out a nervous laugh then In-an laughed, I looked at Sa-rang who was as confuse as I was:

In-an: “She wants to know which of them do you like?”

Da-young: “Hey!”

We all started to laugh until In-an stopped and sigh, she missed her sister and I missed her too, I looked out the window it was raining, I hope Ji-an is in a warm place and she was okay:

In-an: “She will be okay”.

We all knew what she meant, Da-young let out a heavy sigh:

Da-young: “So you never answer the question, which one do you like?”

I smile at the thought of Daesung and In-an laughed, I knew she could hear and even see all of my thoughts and how they were all about him:

In-an: “I knew you like him”.

Mi Rin: “Yes, I think I might even love Daesung”.

Da-young: “Daesung seems very nice but I like…”

Mi Rin: “Seungri?”

Da-young: “How did you know?”

Mi Rin: “I just guessed but I see I guessed correctly”.

In-an: “So who do you like, Sa-rang?”

We all looked at Sa-rang who seemed a little out of it, she seem lost. She snapped out of it and looked at In-an, who had a shocked expression on her face.

In-an: “He knows?”

Da-young: “Who knows?”

Mi Rin: “What’s wrong?”

Sa-rang looked down at her fingers, she seemed nervous and In-an didn’t know what to do, In-an was about to say something when we heard the house door opened with a loud bang:

Mi Rin: “What was that?”

In-an: “Let’s go and check it out”.

We all exited the room, we head to the stairs but we stopped when we saw the scene before us:

Gio: “Take them, I can’t handle them anymore”.

Giovanna, my mother, was standing next to the two people who tried to hurt us, the last time I saw that man and woman we were running away from them. They were not alone, they brought along strong build men that were coming our way:

Donna: “Let’s go home”.

Her sweet voice was frightening. In-an put Da-young behind her and Sa-rang and I stood next to her, the men were getting closer and closer:

In-an: “How long can you freeze them, Sa-rang?”

Sa-rang: “Only 30 seconds or less”.

In-an: “That’s enough, do it, Sa-rang”.

As soon as Sa-rang’s power work on the men, we jump out of the hall window and started to running, In-an hand Da-young to me, I took her hand, and Sa-rang and In-an ran in different directions. As I saw the house getting smaller and smaller, my mother’s betrayal hurt more and more, I could only hope that Ji-an doesn’t come back to Giovanna’s hell hole.
