You couldn’t believe what you were seeing on your boyfriend’s phone. He left the apartment you both shared to get some food for the two of you to have. You were sitting in the living room with your laptop on your lap searching through the latest celebrity new when ___’s phone went off. It was right on top of the little table beside the chair you were sitting on and the chair ___ was just currently sitting on. You looked down at the screen from your seat to see he had gotten a text. Can’t wait to see you on Saturday! We’re going to… the preview of the text stopped there making you more anxious to read the rest. Was this for real? You said to yourself. The contact was named Sooyoung. You picked up the cell phone sliding your finger across the screen to unlock the phone to read the rest of the text.

Can’t wait to see you on Saturday! We’re going to have such a great time ^^ I’m really happy we got back in contact with each other again ___. I’ll meet you there 8pm sharp! You couldn’t believe your eyes. What was this? The name sounded very familiar to you but you couldn’t quite figure out who it was. You knew she wasn’t one of his idol friends that is certain. Anxiety was building up inside of you, wondering what was going on. You asked the obvious question to yourself. Is he cheating on me?

As you re-read the text over and over again, your front door opened showing your boyfriend walk through with the food. You quickly placed the phone back to its original spot and got out of your chair to get a clear view of ___. He placed the bags of food down on the countertop of the kitchen and walked to the front again to hang his coat up, keeping his hat on. You standed there awkwardly, waiting for the time to confront him about his plans on Saturday. It then hit you who the girl was. The name Sooyoung belonged to the girl who used to date ___ before you. She had broken up with him just after him and his group debuted. Anger grew inside of you. You thought she was probably going after him again because of his fame. He never really told you about her before except the fact that she broke up with him. He never mentioned what kind of person she was and never mentioned that he was heartbroken over the breakup. Maybe he was still in love with her, but you were just in the way.

“I have a question.” you said not exactly wanting to ask what he had planned yet. You didn’t want to ask him this question at all. You wish you didn’t see the text, and wished you didn’t know.  Maybe this was for the best though. The best for you.

“What is it jagi?” he asked in a sweet tone. You got nervous all of a sudden.

“Do you have any plans Saturday evening?” you asked in a whisper hoping he would hear you and you wouldn’t have to repeat yourself. He thought about it for a good five seconds until he answered you.

“Oh yeah, I’m hanging out with an old friend. Why, did you want to go out that night?” he said in an innocent tone. You felt your heart drop. An old friend? Was she considered an old friend to him or was this just a distraction from what was really happening between them. You had to confront him; you had to know the truth.

“Is… Is your friend n-named Sooyoung?” you stuttered and being the nervous wreck that you were. His eyes widened.

“Yeah, how did you know?” he exclaimed having the confused look on his face. You didn’t know what to feel. Your emotions were all over the place.

“Look ___, If you want to see someone else, then just break up with me already and stop sneaking out seeing her.” you said a little too loud. You were filled up with anger knowing that he would do this to you. It was hurting you so bad but you had to do this.

“What are you talking about ___? I’m not cheating on you! Why would you say something like that? Sooyoung and I are just friends and only will be.” he said. He seemed to be getting angry as well, but you were too upset to even listen to what he would say.

“Well it looks like you are! You’re going to see her on Saturday! You don’t even bother to tell me! For goodness sakes ___ it’s your ex!” you screamed being so mad at him. You were positive that neighbors could hear you. He put his hands up sending the message for you to stop yelling and just to listen to him. You crossed your arms, and could feel the tears burning in your eyes.

“___ can’t you see that I care about you? Why would you just assume that I am cheating on you after all that we have been through?” he said in a calm tone making you even more upset. He took a deep breath and continued to talk.

“Yes, I used to date Sooyoung but that doesn’t mean I am back with her! Why can’t we just be friends? And why must I tell you what I am doing every minute? Do you have to have your nose in everything ___?” he said louder to you in an annoyed voice. You wanted to throw everything in sight at his head.

“I do not have my nose in everything! Don’t put this on me ___!” you yelled at him letting a couple of tears run down your face. You turned away not being able to look at your boyfriend.

“I can’t believe you…” you whispered. Your boyfriend then groaned being upset as well. He turned around and walked towards the door, he took off his hat throwing it on the floor. You turned yourself around a little to see clearly what ___ was doing. Was he going to leave? He then walked back over to you to start over. You took notice of his hair. There was a big piece of his hair just sticking up from the back which obviously the hat caused. You couldn’t help but giggle the way it looked. You turned back around hoping ___ wouldn’t notice. You tried to not laugh because of the situation you were in with him, but the way it was laid out, who wouldn’t laugh? You turned back around to face him, but his hair was so obvious you continued to laugh. He gave you a funny confused look to make you laugh even more of him not knowing what the creation of his hair was. You looked down at your feet continuing to laugh while wiping the tears away from your eyes.

“What is it ___?” he said in a serious tone wanting to know what was so funny. You looked up and pointed at your hair giggling.

“Your…Your hair is…a little…messed up” you said still pointing at your hair. His eyes widened, he quickly touched his hair to feel what was wrong with it. He gasped running off to the bathroom to fix his hair. You followed him wondering what his reaction will be. ___ was always uptight with his appearance. You walked into the bathroom seeing him hold his hair brush, fixing his hair while looking into the small mirror. He then sighed accomplishing his now fixed hair. You laughed at his reaction, and he looked at you giving you a small smile. You looked down trying to figure out what to say.

“I’m sorry ___, I shouldn’t have acted that way. I don’t know why I just… I just assumed you were… cheating on me.” you said quietly while looking down. You then looked up to see his reaction from your apology, hoping he would forgive and forget. He gave a bigger smile to you and walked up and gave you a hug.

“No, I’m sorry. I should have accepted that you were worried; you have every right to be. I’m sorry I didn’t tell you earlier about Sooyoung and I.” he said quietly as well, he then grabbed your cheeks and gave you a light peck on the lips.

“I hope you forgive me.” you said looking into his beautiful eyes staring back at you.

“Of course I do.” You both then stayed in all night eating dinner and watching movies.
