Kyuhyun's painkillers
Happily Ever AfterKyuhyun-
It was late and I was tired. I arrived at our apartment and crashed on the couch.
So tired...
I was about to doze off when I heard HyunKi cry. At first I ignored it knowing that Kana was there, but he didn't stop. His cries became even louder. I placed my hands to cover my ears but his shrieks can still be heard.
I got up from the couch and went in our room. Hyunki was crying in the crib. I picked him up and he stopped crying. I turned around to look for Kana. I saw her sleeping on the bed still wearing her work clothes.
When I saw her I smiled.
She must be just as tired as I am.
I took Hyunki out of the room and closed the door behind me.
"We'll leave your umma to sleep. So be a good boy so she can rest... araso?" I said to Hyunki.
As if to answer him. Hyunki closed his eyes and yawned. I went to get his bottle and together they slept on the couch.
I woke up when the sun shown brightly over my head. I sat up and felt my body ache. I stretched my arms and stood up immediately.
Where's Hyunki?
I lost Hyunki!
I looked around for him.
Kana's going to kill me.
"Relax, yeobo(husband)..." I heard Kana say.
I went to the kitchen and saw her carrying Hyunki in her arms while she prepared breakfast.
Thank God!
I thought I lost him.
"Do you need help?" I asked her.
I took Hyunki from her. She held up her hand and laughed.
"No... I don't want to have tasteless ramen for breakfast." She said laughing.
I raised an eyebrow at her.
"See, that son? See how your mother makes fun of me? Don't be like her... araso?" I said to Hyunki and he clapped his hand together.
"See... he agrees with me." I said smiling.
"Like father like son." Kana told me rolling her eyes.
"I have the day off.. do you want to do to the park and have a picnic?" I asked her knowing that we needed a day to ourselves.
"Do you have to cook?" She asked me raising an eyebrow.
"Do you want me to cook?" I asked her back.
"No... okay... you take care of Hyunki while I prepare everything else." She said shooing me out of the kitchen.
"By the way... Thank you... for taking care of Hyunki last night. I know you were tired too..." Kana began to say but I cut her off.
"Don't mention it. It the least I could do. After all... you did give me this great opportunity to be a good husband... father and provider. There's only one thing that you could do to repay me." I said to her.
"What's that?" She asked crossing her arms across her chest.
I pointed at my cheek and she went over and kissed it.
"Sarangye... yeobo." She whispered.
I took her lips in mine and hugged her tight.
"I love you more..." I answered her kissing her again.
These two are my painkillers...
They take away any pain that I feel...
I'm so grateful to have them in my life...
