Princes and Princesses and Gaeran Tost-u! Oh my!

Jelly Beans

"5:30 seems awfully early for babysitting, even if it is full time" Yeong Hwa thought as she swung her overnight bag onto her shoulder. Eun Sun had been very adamant about Yeong Hwa's punctuality, though, saying that it would easier for the kids if they woke up without their parents there. It wasn't like Yeong Hwa was a stranger, after all. Her giving them candy, and quite a bit of it, would be fresh in the twins minds when they woke up.

"And what about your older son?" Yeong Hwa asked as she prepared to leave for the night. "Will he know what's going on?"

Eun Sun frowned at the mention of their son, and Yeong Hwa wondered just what kind of relationship he had with his parents. "He's spending the night with his friends, celebrating school getting out and all that" Eun Sun sighed, hanging her head at the though of her son rushing off to spend time with his friends rather than his family. Yeong Hwa could understand wanting to be with your friends, of course, but if he knew that this was his parent's last night... Well, maybe her clarity of thought was just because she knew first-hand what it's like to not see a family member for long amounts of time.

"By the time he figures it out, my cell phone will be off and he'll just have to deal with it" Eun Sun added, smiling a bit too brightly for her words. She seemed to be ecstatic that her son would be unhappy about this decision, but all of Eun Sun's joy simply equated into nerves for Yeong Hwa. She didn't want to get on the wrong foot with this kid, after all.

"I have a key to the house, though, so it's not like he can lock me out or something" Yeong Hwa thought aloud, turning her room's key in the lock and listening for the click of the latch catching. Once she was satisfied that her door was locked, Yeong Hwa pocketed the key in her jeans and started across the patio that surrounded the room. The sun was just barely above the horizon and splashed the Seoul cityscape with its color, setting the city on fire with vibrant oranges and reds. It was quite pretty, and could probably make a fantastic picture if someone bothered stopping long enough to take one.

Yeong Hwa was not this someone, though, as she was already descending the staircase two steps at a time, her sneakers slapping against the concrete. She didn't want to be late for her first day on the job, although Eun Sun seemed like the type of boss who wouldn't care if their employee showed up the next day, just so long as they eventually bothered coming around to say hello. Still... Yeong Hwa would just feel better about this whole situation if she didn't slack off on the job.

After all, this wasn't just checking out some gas station goodies or whatever other job most teenagers occupied their time with. This was taking care of two young humans, whose minds were so malleable it was almost ridiculous. They would take everything she said and did into account, and mimic her as they tried to develop their own behaviors and personalities, like how they took her "Demons are Cavities" story so seriously. The thought was more than a little nerve wracking, since now Yeong Hwa would actually have to think before acting.

There were a lot more tips on how to take care of kids, but right now her brain was too fuzzy to remember much. She had spent most of the time on Google last night, nose pressed to the computer screen as she tried to learn everything the world had to offer on raising children. It seemed a lot harder than she had originally thought, but as long as she kept a cool head she should be able to handle it. The two had listened to her on their walk home, after all.

"Of course I had candy then... and I can't exactly bribe them with goodies every time I want them to do something..." Yeong Hwa thought, rubbing the back of her neck and looking up to the sky. On one side were the deep purples and mysterious blues of night, while on the opposite were bright oranges and vivid reds. Total opposites, all covering the same sky. It probably had some sort of a deep philosophical meaning, but Yeong Hwa had never been good at that sort of thing. She lived in the present and thought practically, not searching for meaning in every little thing she came across.

Life was simpler that way.

As Yeong Hwa thought, her legs carried her down the street and along the block to the Kim household. Inside, all the lights were doused as the occupants within sleepily drifted through dream land. her lips nervously, Yeong Hwa stepped up to the front door and gently knocked on the wood in order to avoid awakening the children inside. Little kids were going to be hard enough to take care of, but tired little kids? Yeong Hwa was tired herself, but she was old enough to control her whacked out emotions. Four year olds... not so much.

When no answer came, Yeong Hwa tapped a bit more firmly on the door before stepping away and slipping her hands deep into her pockets. As she waited, Yeong Hwa played with the contents of her pockets and tried to guess what they were. Key to her room, key to the Kim's house, gum, phone, a few stray candies, and a couple coins in change. Nothing of consequence, but nothing out of the unusual either. Excluding the house key to someone else's home, of course.

Several minutes passed and no signs of life came from within the Kim's house, making Yeong Hwa question if she had heard the time correctly. Frowning impatiently, Yeong Hwa leaned over on one foot and peered inside the nearest window to the front doorstep. The interior was too dark for her to see anything, though, with the glass instead reflecting her own image. She looked like a zombie come back from the dead, with pallid, sleep-deprived skin and deep bags under her eyes. Not exactly the way you want to show up for your first day at work, but also something that Yeong Hwa couldn't remedy at the moment.

"Ahju... Eun Sun?" Yeong Hwa called out, correcting her form of addressing the mistress of the house. Tapping her fingers on the glass, she began wondering if perhaps she had even gotten the address wrong. After all, it seriously looked like nobody was expecting her to show up today.

If she did have the wrong address, then there was a simple way to find out. Pulling out the key Eun Sun had given her the previous night, Yeong Hwa hesitantly tried to press it into the lock of the door. If it fit, then great! She would let herself in and patiently sit waiting for someone to come and explain to her why she had been told to come at five freaking thirty in the morning, hopefully sending Eun Sun or her husband on a bit of a guilt trip for ruining a young high school girl's sleep. If not...

Yeong Hwa sent a quick prayer to Buddha that nobody was watching.

Holding her breath, Yeong Hwa pushed the stylized metal into the door's lock and closed her eyes, not wanting to watch to see if the key went in or not. It took a full thirty seconds for her to open her eyes, and when she did her heart dropped into her stomach. The key didn't fit... This wasn't the right house...

"So where the hell am I supposed to go?!" Yeong Hwa snapped, glaring down at the key as she stuffed it deep into her pocket. Slowly she began backing away from the house, her eyes fixed on the front door in expectation of a very angry stranger coming out any second now. When nobody appeared, Yeong Hwa wrapped her fingers around the key in her pocket and started down the street to see if any of the other houses seemed familiar from last night's walk.

As she held the key in her pocket, she was surprised to realize just how familiar the piece of metal had become in such a short time. She felt like she had been carrying this thing for a lot longer than just a single night. Heck, this was the first time she should ever really be getting familiar with it...

Slowly, Yeong Hwa pulled out the two keys in her pocket as she came to a stop. One key was shiny and new, brightly proclaiming that it belonged to a nice house. This was not the key she had just tried using. The other was slightly tarnished with bits of rust on it's edges, and this belongs to her room. This was the key she had just tried.

"Aish..." Yeong Hwa groaned, tilting her head back and rolling her eyes up to the heavens. Sometimes she could be seriously dense, and not in a cute way or something. It was just how scary how thick her skull was.

Turning neatly on her heels, Yeong Hwa tried to ignore the fact that her face was quickly turning red and practically sprinted back up to the front door of what now turned out to be the Kim household. Biting her tongue in a mild form of punishment for being stupid, Yeong Hwa slipped the real key inside the lock and turned it. The piece of hardware fit perfectly, obviously having been made for this lock. Sighing, Yeong Hwa pushed open the door to the house and stepped inside.

Nobody came out to yell at her for invading their home, so she assumed that they must still be asleep. So, carefully, Yeong Hwa slipped her shoes off and stepped onto the hardwood floor. Still no one came running at her with a shotgun, emboldening Yeong Hwa enough to push her into slowly creeping along the hall. Directly across from her was a staircase that led up to the second floor, to her right was a door that lead to the living room, and to her left a door that led to the kitchen/dining area.

The first floor alone showed that the occupants of this house didn't live sparingly, as she had been forced to do for the past year. Of course, even before then she had never lived extravagantly. The option had always been there, though, and that had made the biggest difference for her. Knowing that she would have a meal the next day had always seemed like such a commonplace thing, and yet now she was having to live in some stranger's home and take care of three children just to buy some top ramen from the convenience store.

As she walked, bright neon green letter caught her attention from their positioning on a yellow post-it-note stuck onto the hall mirror. Raising her eyebrows, Yeong Hwa gave into her curiosity and leaned towards the mirror in order to read the characters. It wasn't as though she were really invading the Kim's privacy, since they had left this in such an obvious position. Eun Sun should have moved anything she didn't want Yeong Hwa going through, if she was really all that concerned about privacy.

Yeong Hwa-ssi! My husband, wonderful as he is, booked us an earlier flight than I originally thought so we've already left. The refrigerator and pantry are stocked, so please feel free to make whatever you want for yourself and the twins, they aren't picky eaters. If you have any questions, Myung Soo should be home this afternoon and can explain everything to you.

~ Eun Sun

Yeong Hwa's jaw hit the floor as she read Eun Sun's note for the second time. How could someone just leave their children all alone without even knowing for sure if their caretaker would bother showing up?! Of course Yeong Hwa had known she would show up, she really needed the job, but Eun Sun had allowed herself to have complete faith in a total stranger! It was one thing to leave your kids in the hands of a stranger, but to then not make sure they actually ended up in those hands?!

"Thank God I'm the one who helped her last night!" Yeong Hwa thought aloud, not caring about how loud she was being. Instantly she clapped a hand over to prevent any further outbursts, looking up the stairs to where she assumed was the twin's bedrooms. It didn't look or sound like either of them had woken up, but she would have to be more careful about how loud she was, especially in the early mornings.

"Well... there's nothing I can do about the parents' irresponsibility. Right now Yoogeun and Seo Hyeon, as well as this Myung Soo kid, are in my care, so I need to do the best I can" Yeong Hwa whispered, unable to shake her habit of speaking aloud nearly all her thoughts. After all, when you lived on your own and rarely spoke at school you began to miss your voice, so speaking to yourself became a natural way to hear your own voice. Otherwise a person could go crazy, never hearing them self speak.

Sighing, Yeong Hwa pulled off the post-it-note and crumpled it into a tiny ball, which she stuffed into a side pocket of her bag. Once this was done Yeong Hwa slid open the door to the kitchen and stepped inside, glancing around at what she had to work with. She knew how to cook, since top ramen was only great for so long, but she wasn't entirely sure how to properly cook. After all, there was a difference between dumping some things into a pot and leaving it to cook and actually making food.

Learning by doing worked best for Yeong Hwa, though, so jumping straight into this mess would probably be the best for her. So, without further thought, Yeong Hwa entered the kitchen and started rummaging around in the refrigerator and pantry. At one point she came across an apron, bright pink in color and covered in embarrassing flowers, but it would be better than getting her clothes dirty. So, resignedly, Yeong Hwa pulled the apron over her head and tied it in the back, all the while trying not to look at her reflection in the large bay window that overlooked the empty lot in back of the house.

Once this was done she moved on to pulling out ingredients that would work for breakfast. She wasn't sure what the kids liked, but if Eun Sun was correct (and Yeong Hwa didn't have much faith in this) then the twins weren't all that picky of eaters and would probably like the same things she did. Thus, Yeong Hwa began stripping the kitchen of bread, butter, eggs, cabbage, carrots, onions, sugar and ketchup in order to make a delicious, and from what she understood, nutritious meal.

"Right... now I just need to remember the recipe" Yeong Hwa mumbled, pulling out a saute pan and sliding it onto the stove top. Once that was done she sliced the butter in half and started rubbing it onto the pan. Once both halves were significantly diminished she tossed the nearly empty packaging into the trash can and the stove. Once the butter had begun to sizzle she toasted both sides of the bread until they were a light golden brown, then put them onto a nearby plate. The rest of the process was pretty much automatic for Yeong Hwa, allowing her plenty of brain space to think about just what kind of a situation she had gotten herself into.

"I'm in charge of taking care of two little twins while their parents are somewhere on the planet. Oh... and some other kid whom I have yet to meet. I wonder how old he is? Not like Eun Sun bothered telling me anything about him..." Yeong Hwa thought, resting her elbows against the table as she poked halfheartedly at the egg mixture with a wooden spoon as it cooked in the pan, up all the leftover butter. It not only made the food taste good, but also helped cut down on how much cleaning the chef had to do after everything was said and done.

Sighing, she placed the spoon off to the side and started exploring the kitchen. There was nothing incredible to set it apart from her own, other than being clean. She probably should have finished cleaning up her room before coming over here. Now, for all she knew, there would be mice running rampant when she came back at the end of the summer. Just the thought of rodents digging through her things sent shivers down Yeong Hwa's spine.

"You can hardly tell there are little kids living here" Yeong Hwa thought aloud, crouching down beside the table to peer under and see if anything was underneath. Resting there on the floor was a plastic silver tiara, most of the jewels that had once been embedded in it having fallen out long ago and left behind their blackened skeletons. The toy was still rather pretty, however, and Yeong Hwa couldn't help but reach under the table and pull out the sparkly object.

Glancing in the window at her reflection, Yeong Hwa did a small twirl and allowed the apron to fly out around her. If you had a really good imagination, it would look like a princess's dress as she headed for the ball. Smiling at the ridiculousness of the situation, Yeong Hwa popped the tiara atop her head at a slight angle and bowed to her reflection in the window. She felt entirely ridiculous, but sometimes it could be fun to be a little silly. Goodness knows she would have to start loosening up now that she was in charge of two little kids. They needed someone to play with, and if she couldn't loosen up then this would prove to be a very boring summer for all parties involved.

"Your Majesty" Yeong Hwa said with her best English, donning a sad little British accent as she curtsied to the window. Giggling, she didn't notice as the door behind her slowly cracked open.

"Unni?" a small voice mumbled sleepily, sending a shiver of horror through Yeong Hwa as she whipped around to see who was addressing her. Standing in the doorway was Seo Hyeon, rubbing the sleep from her eyes as she blinked blearily up at Yeong Hwa. "Did umma and appa leave?" Seo Hyeon continued, crossing over to the table as Yeong Hwa yanked the tiara off her face and rested it on the hard wood surface of the dining table. Nodding, Yeong Hwa helped Seo Hyeon up into her seat.

"Yup! I'm going to take care of your from now on!" Yeong Hwa explained enthusiastically, wondering if this was a normal occurrence for Seo Hyeon. She didn't seem fazed by waking up to a total stranger and no parents, after all. "God knows how she would react if a real stranger walked in" Yeong Hwa thought, once more reminded of how irresponsible and frightening this whole situation was. It was dangerous to leave little kids all on their own!

Seo Hyeon yawned and smiled sleepily at Yeong Hwa before looking past her noona to the stove. "What that?" she mumbled, pointing with one little pudgy finger to the pan.

"Breakfast" Yeong Hwa replied, helping Seo Hyeon into a seat. Glancing back at the door, Yeong Hwa wondered if she ought to wake up Yoogeun as well. After all, the food was almost ready and Seo Hyeon seemed to have no problem getting up this early. Hesitantly Yeong Hwa looked down at Seo Hyeon, as if the four year old would be able to offer her some sort of advice. Instead, Seo Hyeon busied herself with rubbing the morning's "eye boogers" from her eyes.

Deciding she would just have to rely on her own intuition, Yeong Hwa went back to the stove and pulled the eggs off the heat. It wasn't that she was scared of little kids, because only a coward would be scared of someone three times shorter than them, just that she... was scared of them. They could be really loud and angry sometimes, especially when they were tired, and you couldn't really do anything about it because they were too little. Plus, these weren't even her kids... or siblings... or anything! The twins were total strangers!

"Oppa, hurry up! At least you can do something to your little siblings" Yeong Hwa thought, using her mind to channel the scent of breakfast to this mysterious big brother in an attempt to lure him back to the house. Boys were notorious for loving food more than anything else, after all. It was why sayings like "the way to a man's heart is through his stomach" came about.

"Hungry" another little voice moaned as its owner staggered through the doorway, his eyes barely open. Glancing down at Yoogeun, Yeong Hwa gesture to the food as she finished preparing it.

"Sit down and I'll put some on your plate for you" Yeong Hwa told him, pointing to the seat beside Seo Hyeon. Nodding, Yoogeun wobbled across the kitchen floor and took his spot next to his sister. Smiling, Seo Hyeon began talking with Yoogeun about the dream she had the previous night. Yeong Hwa was surprised. She didn't know that little kids talked about that sort of thing, and yet here was a four year old going into quite the deep story about her dream.

Yoogeun, on the other hand, was exhibiting what Yeong Hwa believed to be more normal behavior for a young child by ignoring his sister and focusing intently on the food Yeong Hwa bringing over. As soon as she had set the plate down in front of him his fingers wrapped around the sandwich-like food, eager to cram breakfast into his mouth. The second the food touched his lips, Yoogeun's eyes lit up.

"Fweet!" he exclaimed through a mouthful of Gaeran Tost-u.

"Yoogeun!" Seo Hyeon protested, leaning daintily from her brother with a look of pure disgust on her face.

Smiling, Yeong Hwa tried not to laugh as she nodded in agreement with Yoogeun's outburst. "I put sugar on them" she explained, choking slightly on the words in her attempt to not laugh. Neither of the twins found this situation as humorous as she did, since for them this was normal life, so laughing at them would only annoy or embarrass the pair of them. Still, despite having this logic chiseled into her brain, Yeong Hwa was having trouble not laughing.

"It's very good" Seo Hyeon complimented, smiling prettily at Yeong Hwa.

Yeong Hwa nodded in agreement and took a bite of hers as well, enjoying the sweet taste of brown sugar as it melted in . When she had first heard the combination of ketchup and brown sugar Yeong Hwa had been appalled that anyone could even conceive of something like that, but after trying it just once she had gotten hooked. Simple, quick, and tasty, Gaeran Tost-u was perhaps the best breakfast food out there.

"You're supposed to say thank you" Seo Hyeon scolded, drawing Yeong Hwa out of her thoughts. Surprised, Yeong Hwa rubbed the back of her neck awkwardly and swallowed down her food.

"Erm... thanks?" Yeong Hwa mumbled, not used to being scolded by a four year old. Patiently, Seo Hyeon waited for Yeong Hwa to get it right. "Um... thank you, Seo Hyeon. I really appreciate it" Yeong Hwa tried again, feeling like she was back in school under the watchful gaze of the faculty. It wasn't a good feeling, especially when coming from a little kid.

"You're welcome" Seo Hyeon replied haughtily before going back to her breakfast. Beside her, Yoogeun managed to pause in his wolfing down of his own breakfast long enough to roll his eyes. Apparently Seo Hyeon's attitude was pretty normal around here. Yeong Hwa couldn't imagine how a four year old could develop such a personality, though. It was like a sixteen year old girl had been trapped in this little body of Seo Hyeon's.

The rest of breakfast remained uneventful, with Yeong Hwa politely responding to everything Seo Hyeon said like a programmed robot. She didn't want to upset the little girl, because screaming children can be more than a little scary, but... losing her pride like this was more than a little depressing. It was like she was surrendering all of her being to a four year old toddler, and after standing up to the "Giantess" Yeong Hwa couldn't help but feel like a bit of a failure.

"Are you alright?" Seo Hyeon asked, poking Yeong Hwa gently in the arm. Smiling, Yeong Hwa nodded and pinched Seo Hyeon's cheek gently. Giggling, Seo Hyeon pulled away and puffed out her cheeks, trying to act irritated while at the same time laughing.

"Me too!" Yoogeun cried out, turning his cheek towards Yeong Hwa. Nodding, she reached across the table and lightly pinched Yoogeun's cheek. Squealing in delight, he pulled back and mimicked his sister by puffing out his cheeks. Faced with this onslaught of aegyo, Yeong Hwa burst out laughing and had to hide her face beneath the table in an attempt to cover it up. Overhead the twins also started laughing,

Once she had gotten control of herself, Yeong Hwa straightened up and wiped away a stray tear from her eyes. Taking her cue to stop, Seo Hyeon crammed her fist against to stifle any remaining giggles, while beside her Yoogeun slowly dialed down his laughter. "So what kind of games do you guys like?" Yeong Hwa asked, not sure what to do besides playing with the twins. Eventually she would have to figure something out, but for now it was perfectly acceptable to just hang out and get to know the pair.

"Prince and Princess!" the two cried out in unison. Yeong Hwa was surprised that Yoogeun would be interested in that sort of thing, although she supposed she shouldn't be. She had once read a blog online that talked about a girl who had played Barbies with her little brothers. Granted, they had spent the whole time pretending to explode television sets or pitting the dolls against each other in blood baths... so maybe the seemingly innocent title of this game was actually hiding more sinister rules.

"Only one way to find out" Yeong Hwa thought, pushing back her chair and gathering up the dishes. "Alright. How about you two show me how to play, then?" Yeong Hwa said, walking into the kitchen and dumping the plates into the sink. She would clean them up properly later.

"Okay!" Seo Hyeon eagerly responded, rushing over to Yeong Hwa and taking the older girl's hand in her own. Then, as they passed him on their way out into the hall, she grabbed Yoogeun's hand and pulled him along behind her. Suddenly Yeong Hwa felt like the babysat rather than the babysitter. It was a cute feeling, but at the same time it made Yeong Hwa question if she was really the best caretaker for these kids. She was letting a toddler walk all over her, after all.

"Meh... I'm thinking about this too much" Yeong Hwa scolded as she slowly followed Seo Hyeon up the stairs. About midway Yeong Hwa got tired of their slow progress and decided to speed the process up. Wrapping her arms around the waists of Seo Hyeon and Yoogeun, Yeong Hwa took the stairs two at a time with one kid under each arm. Squealing in surprise and fearful delight. Seo Hyeon and Yoogeun flung out their arms and exclaimed some garbled words about flying.

When they reached the top Yeong Hwa gently placed the kids back onto their feet. Grinning from ear to ear, Yoogeun his arms up into the air expectantly. "Again!" he cried out, stretching his arms as high up as he could. Sighing, Yeong Hwa lifted him up and spun him around a few times before placing him back on the ground. Seo Hyeon, who had patiently been waiting her turn, then threw up her arms and echoed her brother's demand.

"Alright, one more time. Then we need to go and play Prince and Princess" Yeong Hwa reminded them, hoping to divert the twins's attention before she wore herself out. Seo Hyeon nodded in agreement, so Yeong Hwa lifted her into the air and spun her around before setting her feet firmly back on the ground.

"Again!" Yoogeun said as he stretched out his arms.

"No, Yoogeun!" Seo Hyeon scolded, frowning at her twin brother. Hesitantly, Yoogeun lowered his arms and looked at Seo Hyeon with wide, questioning eyes. "We have to play Prince and Princess now" she explained, now reminding Yeong Hwa of a mother talking to her child.

Seriously, this little girl was getting scarier by the second.

Nodding, Yoogeun looked up at Yeong Hwa for confirmation. "We can spin around later, okay?" Yeong Hwa reasoned, unable to bring herself to turn down Yoogeun. Once more his grin spread across his face, lighting up the house with its brightness, Mimicking his smile, Yeong Hwa gestured for Seo Hyeon to lead the way.

Knitting her eyebrows together in confusion, the little girl looked over her shoulder to see where Yeong Hwa was gesturing. "That's a wall, unni!" she giggled, her brother soon joining in at laughing at their babysitter. Embarrassed by the misunderstanding, Yeong Hwa laughed awkwardly along. "This is the right way!" Seo Hyeon continued when she had stopped laughing, pointing into an open doorway. Glancing in, Yeong Hwa could guess that this was Seo Hyeon's room.

Bright pink princess crowns decorated the walls, with fairy stickers and glitter joining them. If Yoogeun slept in here, he most likely did so with his eyes-

"Come on!" Yoogeun encouraged, nudging the back of Yeong Hwa's leg as he passed her on his way into the room. Apparently, despite being male, this room didn't bother Yoogeun. Probably because he was too young and innocent to understand the horrors of cooties that most children believed in.

After waiting for Seo Hyeon to go inside, Yeong Hwa stepped inside the room and glanced around to get a better picture of the room. She hadn't noticed before, but Christmas lights draped the walls all around the room. As she watched, the Christmas lights suddenly and bathed the room in a soft blue light. Glancing down, Yeong Hwa saw that Seo Hyeon had jammed the plug into a wall outlet and was now sitting back to watch the show.

"Green!" Yoogeun cried out. Yeong Hwa was about to correct him when she noticed that the room was, indeed, now bathed in green. As she watched more closely, the lights turned to red.

"I am so doing this with my room when I get back" Yeong Hwa thought, looking around Seo Hyeon's room in admiration. The owner of the fantastically decorated room had become indifferent to her surroundings, though, and marched in a straight beeline for a dark red plastic toy chest that sat beside her bed. Following, Yeong Hwa peered over Seo Hyeon's shoulder and watched as the girl struggled to pop the latch that held the lid in place.

"Here" Yeong Hwa mumbled, leaning down and popping open the latch. As soon as she had done so Seo Hyeon cried out in protest and pushed Yeong Hwa's hand away, much to the surprise of the teenager. "Hey, now-" Yeong Hwa started.

"I can do it myself!" Seo Hyeon scolded, frowning up at Yeong Hwa. Holding her hands up in defeat, Yeong Hwa stepped away from the chest and "Little Miss Independent". Beside her, Yoogeun also kept his distance as he watched his twin push the latch back into place and then struggle to open it on her own.

Sighing, Yeong Hwa resisted the deep seated urge to try and help Seo Hyeon again. Insanity is repeating the same mistakes and expecting different results, in the words of Albert Einstein, and Yeong Hwa didn't plan on arguing with one of this world's greatest minds. So, she resigned herself to watching Seo Hyeon struggle with the latch and applauding when Seo Hyeon finally managed to nudge the latch open. Grinning proudly, Seo Hyeon pulled open the lid to the toy chest and began pulling out various costume apparel.

"You have quite the collection" Yeong Hwa complimented, kneeling down beside the chest and rummaging around inside. Plastic tiaras and frilly dresses dominated the surface of the chest, but deeper down Yeong Hwa discovered plastic swords and a golden crown. These were what Yoogeun quickly snatched up and began donning, until he really did resemble a young prince.

"Very handsome, Yoogeun" Yeong Hwa told him. Smiling, Yoogeun scuffed his foot against the carpet in embarrassment.

"Unni, here!" Seo Hyeon exclaimed, holding out a plastic tiara very similar to the one downstairs to her. Nodding, Yeong Hwa accepted the tiara and placed it onto her head. For a second Seo Hyeon examined her with a critical gaze, but then her face broke out in a smile.

"Very pretty!" she eagerly complimented before pulling out a tiara for herself. Surprised, Yeong Hwa found herself blushing as she awkwardly adjusted the tiara on her head.

"This ought to be interesting" Yeong Hwa thought as she helped Seo Hyeon into one of the dresses.
