As Joy looks into her daughter's eyes, as she tenderly touches her small hands, traces her tiny feet and cradles her in her arms - she descries:

this, this is what happiness is.

Joy has never felt more alive again until she saw her baby. The clouds of fear and uncertainty will in one way or another, always be there, but the horizon is clearing.

Truth be told, the moment Joy left the old apartment she once shared with Wendy and became the housemate of her colleague, she realized that living in Elbi would eventually and inevitably hold a different meaning for her altogether. She will be living with Seulgi and their friends for a number of months, but once she goes back to Elbi, she will be and should be returning to not just another abode, but to a shelter that should serve as a safe space for her daughter. She was then jolted into making more intentional and conscious decisions for her child's future. So amidst all the emotional malaise, the restiveness, she was able to put her energy into finding a home for the two of them. 

On her 5th month of pregnancy, just months before she left to move in with her 'tol Seulgi, she was able to find a foreclosed property at Elbi which fit her budget right. After making all the estimations, the planning, the studying of available resources - would she need an in-housing loan, can her PAG-IBIG (the housing financing agency of the government, not the one which meant literal love) benefits help her access funding for mortgage and amortization, after going all through this preparation, she made the most important investment she ever did in her life - she bought a home for her and her daughter.

She will be bringing Ningning to that home soon, but not without first introducing her to her parents, Ningning's lolo and lola.

By that time, Ningning was already a month old. Joy knew it's time to officially start the new stage of her life and face everything that comes with it, with her standing on her own two feet. She was deeply grateful for her best friend and her other friends, but she knew she could not forever treat them and especially Seulgi as her security blanket. She's a mother
