The student council office is a mess. Like really, really messy, sobrang chaotic. Ang sakit sa mata tignan. 

 

Morning pa lang kasi, later pa ilalabas yung ibang mga technical stuffs and other things kaya nandito muna siya sa office, some of the members are at the field na like Chaeryeong, she's kinda in charge of the stage directing and all.

 

Ako naman, I'm making sure na there's nothing to worry about the performances later. I called the performers so I can confirm if they'll really attend and perform. 

 

So far, everything's going great naman. All of the performers told me na all set na sila for later, even Ate Seulgi. After lunch kasi we'll start doing soundchecks and other final run-throughs. 

 

I double checked the line-ups, the program flow, and all other things. I was in the middle of helping other members for the decorations nung stage when I felt my phone vibrated at my pocket.

"Sana all kahit madaming gawain nakangiti. Kami stressed na oh." I slightly laughed because of what Chaeryeong said.

 

"Iba talaga pag nasa tamang tao, Lord when ba kasi." Yuna said while nagdadabog pa ng konti, hay nako this kid. Tinawanan ko na lang sila, ang funny kasi parang sobrang sama ng loob nila both.

 

"Don't rush it, baka may ibigay nga sayo, maling tao naman." I shrugged at what I told them. It's true naman kasi, madalas na when unexpected dun dumadating yung someone that will make everything matters, even the smallest things.

 

In my case, maybe swerte lang ako because Winter barged into my life unexpectedly and at the same time, ready ako. 

 

"Karina, delikado ka na." I was pulled from my inner thoughts when I heard Chaeryeong again.

 

"Sana all na lang muna ang role ko. Gusto ko din yung ngumingiti lang ako habang may naaalala. Ate Rina, kapag nagsasandok ka ba ng kanin sa plato mo nakangiti ka na rin?" 

 

What? Ano daw? What does it mean?

 

"Yuna! Ginugulo mo utak nitong magandang friend natin, tigilan mo na yang mga tiktok references mo." It think naramdaman ni Chaeryeong yung confusion ko because she scolded the younger one.

 

"What does it mean ba?" I asked them.

 

"It means na down bad ka kay Captain." The youngest among us answered.

 

"Mahal mo na? Mahal mo na 'no? Mahal mo na eh." 

 

"Luh, tigilan ko daw tiktok references pero isa rin naman pala siya."

 

I think namumula ako because of what Chaeryeong has said. I mean, I don't know.. that thought didn't crossed my mind pa naman, Winter and I agreed naman na we'll take things slow and get to know each other better. 

 

"Huy, teh! Nafrozen ka na dyan, no pressure yun ha. Joke lang yun, nakita ko lang sa tiktok, inasar lang kita hehe." Chaeryeong approached me. 

 

"Ate, sunod ka na lang dun sa stage if gusto mo makita ha. Andun lang naman kami nitong bebe ko." Yuna told me before going out of the office, may mga dala na rin siyang decorations for the stage then kumaway lang yung isa and sumunod kay bunso.

 

"Hoy! Anong bebe mo? Kilabutan ka nga!" I even heard chaeryeong asked the other one, I suddenly smiled. Cute kaya nila minsan, madalas kasi super ingay niyan, bangayan ng bangayan.

 

Buuuut, I'll download tiktok muna. I've heard of it naman, ayoko lang muna talaga i-download, kaso knowing na super outdated na ako sa mga sinasabi nila kanina, maybe it's time to make one too. 

 

I arranged the papers on my table then lumabas na din ako ng office to go dun sa stage, I'll ask na din si pres kung they need help pa or baka may ipapagawa pa siya. Ilang hours na lang din kasi lunch na. 

 

I'm not gonna lie and tell na hindi ako excited because I am excited, wala lang, I'm going to see that grumpy captain nanaman, cute cute niya kaya kapag ang sungit ng mukha. She looks like a baby na galit, baby ko. Charot.

When it's lunch time already, bumalik halos lahat ng members sa sc office. Nandun kasi yung mga gamit talaga namin, nilock lang namin yung pinto. When we got inside, sabay-sabay kaming umupo dun sa mga waiting area and couch, even yung iba kahit sa sahig umupo na. Grabe kasi yung init outside sa field, buti na lang when the program will start mamaya medyo malilim na.

 

Yuna and Chaeryeong invited me for lunch pero sabi ko sa kanila na I laready have plans. Inasar lang naman nila ako until makalabas na sila. Konti na lang din yung tao dito inside the room, I wnet to my own space tapos I gathered my things. Is it winter's lunch break na? 

 

I sent her a message and she replied naman agad, nasa labas na daw siya ng office. Nagpaalam na ako sa other members that is still inside the room then lumabas na ako, I was about to call her but I saw her walking towards me. 

 

A tumbler on one hand, a wallet on the other. Her hair is tied into a ponytail. Basketball shorts, basketball shoes and she's wearing their team shirt, Panthers Women's Basketball, #1 W.Kim.  

 

Lord, super attractive. 

 

Then she smiled when she saw me. 

 

Mine. Mine po talaga, can payo pa! 

 

I don't think that she's aware of how good-looking she is. Kahit sino ata maghahabol sa kaniya. 

 

Malas lang nila because I have the last laugh, ako yung gusto eh. Sorry, bawi na lang kayo next life. Joke!

 

"Crush mo ba ako? Okay lang yan, ganun talaga eh." She said nung nakalapit siya sakin.

 

I rolled my eyes at her, as the days passed, I notice that she's slowly letting me see her true self. Like yung ganyan, super mapang-asar and playful niya, I swear! 

 

"Ang kapal so much. Let's go naaa, gutom na kooo!" 

 

After a good argument for 5 minutes, we ended up eating sa burger king. Ang tigas kasi ng ulo! She kept on telling na magrice ako because lunch nga but I told her na I'm okay pa naman. I mean, ayoko din kumain ng sobra since baka tamarin lang ako later. 

 

Hindi kasi siya kakain ng rice meal since may training pa sila. Sinabihan daw sila ni Coach Byul na maglight meal lang. 

 

Winter is really consistent with her actions. Everytime we go out, she always open the door for me, makes me seat comfortably and super attentive niya. 

 

It's one of those things that I like about her. Nakakakilig kasi even if small things lang yun, it makes me comfortable and safe. 

 

I appreciate the butterflies that I feel whenever I'm with her but, I REALLY appreciate the safety na pinaparamdam niya sakin everytime na magkasama kami.

We both got a whopper with nuggets lang, she said water na lang daw sa kanya then sabi ko, iced tea na lang sakin. 

 

When we're seated, inayos niya na yung orders namin. I noticed that she likes doing things like this. Yung aasikasuhin ka niya talaga and aalagaan. 

 

I secretly took a picture of her while inaayos niya yung foods namin. 

 

Her eyes are shining while looking at the nuggets. I smiled, ang cute cute niya kapag ganito, she likes snacks kasi. 

 

She looked like a kid na binigyan ng candy while dipping the nuggets to its sauce. Sobrang focused niya and my heart is melting at the sight.

 

Kaninong puso yung hindi magmemelt? She seemed so strong and cold outside and to other people, tapos she's a softie pala. 

 

Gosh. I got it bad, like really bad. 

 

"Oorder ba ako bago? Di mo na gusto?" She curiously asked me. 

 

"No, you just look like a kid kasi. Parang soulmate mo yung nuggets eh." I , kumuha na din ako ng nuggets and nagstart kumain. 

 

While eating, nag-usap lang kami about our day, kung kumusta na ba siya so far. I told her na I didn't do so much kanina and I lend a little help lang to other members. 

 

She said na her day is the same lang except, whole day yung training nila. She's ranting while eating, ang cute cute nung cheeks niya, ang puffy! 

 

"Si coach naman kasi! Pwede namang half day lang yung training eh. Di tuloy kita masasamahan sa event niyo." Nakasimangot na siya at nakakunot yung noo. 

 

"It's okay, not a big deal naman. Pagod ka din after for sure, you should rest na lang din, cael." She knows that when I called her by her second name, seryoso talaga ako. 

 

"Kahit na, support din yun tsaka mukhang masaya naman yung event." She diasppointedly said, umiiling pa. "Pero susunduin kita ah, nakapagpahinga na ako nun. Bawal humindi." She added while smiling and wiggling her eyebrows. 

 

Pumayag na lang ako kasi she'll not stop naman until I agree, ganun siya kakulit when it's just the two of us. Kumain na lang kami while nagkwekwentuhan, she told me about her Woojin, Ate Seulgi and Ate Irene, her friends. 

 

For today's video, we have a madaldal Winter. Ang dami niyang stories and all, I think she's the most madaldal when she's around sa mga taong comfortbale siya. Sobrang pili lang din nung mga taong comfortable siya, she's not really the type to socialize kasi. 

 

Actually, it's really okay if hindi siya maka-attend nitong event. Syempre it's fun and all pero baka kasi pagod na siya, I think I'll just join our friends later. 

 

When we returned sa campus, hinatid niya ako sa sc office. I told her nung una na wag na ako ihatid since malayo pa yung gym but she insisted, marami pa naman daw time. Syempre I agreed, namiss ko din naman siya. We barely talked the past days kasi exams din diba tapos yung hindi namin pagpapasinsan, so stupid. 

 

When we're in front of the office she held my hand and slightly pinisil, "Text or call ka if may need ka, ha? Go na, pasok ka na." 

 

I smiled at her and held her hand too, "Alright, ingat ka sa training, okay? Do well, captain." Then pumasok na ako sa loob, onti na lang sila dito, baka nandun na ulit sa stage yung iba to finalize everything na. In a few hours magsisimula na yung event eh.

So far, we're waiting na lang for other technicians to start. May ilang students na din na nandito sa field to have a great spot, yung iba kasi may classes pa pero last subject na siguro yung iba, some students are completing their requirements din. 

 

Buti nga they extended the submission of assessments for student who have extra-curricular activities, pati sa student-athletes extended yung submissions. Kung sino man nagraise ng concern na yun, super thank you talaga, I'm not yet done sa PE assessment, kasi nga ewan ko ba, we're stupid talaga ni Winter minsan. 

 

Anyway, technicians signalled us na okay na. They tested and did a double run through na sa mga equipments, sana talaga there will be no technical problems later. 

 

Pres called all the sc members to have a pep talk before we officially start the program. Nothing so serious naman kasi sabi niya she would like to say goodluck sa'min and even if hindi pa tapos yung program, we did great  work na din daw. After event na daw kasi yung iba since di pa naman daw namin natatapos.

 

May after event celebration din daw, nalaman ko lang earlier. I'll tell Winter na lang later. What time is it na ba? I looked at my watch, ilang minutes na lang she's off training na. I'll text her na lang. 

 

I spotted Rj na kumakaway not from afar, she's with our cirlce of friends. Now that I noticed, halos all of them are athletes expect Ning and Rj. Walang training yung magkapatid? Si Gi kasi magpeperform later.

 

I greeted them and isa-isa din nila akong binati, the girls and Gi hugged me. Si Rj and Hyunjin nakipaghigh five lang.

 

"Dito ka samin mamaya ha." Ning told me, naglalambing yan that's why ganyan. 

 

"Yup, that's why dito din yung spot para if ever need ka sa council, you can go agad." Hyunjin said, tumango-tango naman yung iba while smiling at me. 

 

It makes me soft whenever may ganitong ginagawa yung friends namin, ang cute cute lang kahit minsan super sakit nila sa ulo.

We're now watching Rj and her band performing, she ocassionally glances at our side and itong friend namin kilig na kilig. She's playing hard to get lang talaga kay Rj, she likes her din naman. 

 

As far as I remembered, fourth to the last performance to. Ate Seulgi will be the next then Gi and the dance crew, last performance is from Jaehyun & Rj's band, collab performance daw. 

 

"Thank you! That song was originally made by yours truly." Rj said sa mic, she's slightly panting. 

 

"May nagtatanong sa crowd, Rj! Ano daw inspiration mo kung bakit nagawa yung kanta?" Their pianist asked her.

 

"Mali naman kayo magtanong eh! Hindi ano, sino kamo." Their lead guitarist teased.

 

The crowd went wild after that, I was also smiling kasi nahihiya si Rj sa stage! It's so rare to see her like this! Yung friends din namin nakisabay sa pang-aasar nung crowd. I looked at Yeji and hindi ko alam kung matatawa ako or ano, parang nanghihina siya na ewan. Super cute nilang dalawa, to be honest.

 

"Uhh.." natahimik yung crowd, she looked at our side, kay Yeji then binalik yung tingin niya sa crowd, "let's just say na I was enchanted by her cat eyes." 

 

The crowd went wild again, kinikilig pa yung iba. Si Ning naman ang likot sa tabi ko, she's jokingly pushing Yeji. Yung kambal din ni Yej inaasar siya then si Gi natatawa lang sa kanila. Natawa na din ako kasi super pula ng mukha ni yeji, kilig na kilig talaga siya. 

 

I don't know what's holding them back, we all know na gusto naman nila ang isa't isa. Pero they can figure it out naman na, malaki na sila. 

 

I suddenly miss Winter tuloy. Wala, silang dalawa kasi ni Rj yung mahilig sa mga ganitong surprises, medyo mas mahiyain lang si Winter kasi she doesn't want to do surprises sa maraming tao. She's okay na friends lang namin yung audience.

 

Done na magperfrom yung band nila Rj, done na din yung dance crew and Gi, pero nung tinawag si Ate Seul nagwala ulit yung crowd. I'm the only one yata na hindi nakakakilala sa kanya before, it seems like everyone knew her kaya nakakahiya because di ko siya kilala dati.

 

She started with a dance performance. She dances to Cardi B's Money Bag. 

 

Grabe, her body control! Super clean niya gumalaw and sharp din yung movements! 

 

"Grabe walang kupas si Ate Seul, tignan niyo si Ate Irene." Hyunjin said while pointing at our right side.

 

We saw Ate Irene watching with crossed arms katabi yung anak nila, Woojin is so hyper, jumping while cheering for his mama. 

 

Hindi ko alam na nandito pala sila, I'll approach them after the event na lang. 

 

The music stopped but another one plays, this time sasayaw si Ate Seulgi with Maroon 5's Lucky Strike. 

 

After her dance performance she told us na kakanta siya later, the crowd was very pleased kaya lumakas ulit yung cheers. 

 

 

We're down to the last performance and it started with Rj and Jaehyun's band performing Silent Santuary's Ikaw Lamang. 

 

Gi came back na din, right now she's beside her bubba na kilig na kilig kasi sumasabay sa kanta si Gi.

 

After the song, they played another one. This time it's Parokya ni Edgar's Your Song. 

 

Rj sang the first part of the song, of course nagwala yung crowd. She's the campus crush, afterall.

 

After the first part, si Jaehyun na yung kumakanta. Drummer kasi si Rj, so at the this part of the song need niya na tumugtog.

 

The crowd went wild again, expected naman because he's the school's heartthrob. 

 

Beside me, Hyunjin is bobbing his head kasabay nung song. Yej is doing the same but she's just looking at Rj. 

 

Yung magbubba, super clingy. Gi is backhugging Ning and nakasandal lang si bunso kay sa kanya.

 

I smiled, ang cute ng friends namin. Miss ko na si Winter, but onti lang. Mas need niya magpahinga, being a captain is not easy.

 

After the performance of both bands, tinawag nila si Ate Seulgi for the final performance. 

 

"Hey guys! So ako pala yung last na magpeperform. Hindi tutugtog yung bands kasi nagdala ako ng sarili kong gitarista hehe." Ate Seulgi said nahihiya pa siya habang sinasabi yun. 

 

I can hear some people sa crowd na nagsabing okay lang and ayos lang. 

 

I checked my phone kasi it vibrated, baka emergency sa bahay or what. 

 

Si mom pala, asking if anong oras matatapos yung event. 

 

"Ito na pala yung gitarista ko, ayos na? Natono na? Dito ka na." I heard Ate Seulgi said. 

 

I replied kay mom, saying na malapit na matapos. The crowd is weirdly quiet. Sino ba yung gitarista? I'm waiting for mom's reply pa kaya hindi ko pa nakikita. 

 

Mom replied din agad, mag-ingat lang daw ako ang magtext na lang if may need ako. 

 

"Game na!" I heard Ate Seulgi. 

 

When I looked up to the stage, I swear.. I felt my heart jumped.

 

She looked so ing good with her guitar.

When the chorus plays, she looked at me while mouthing the lyrics.

Ate Seulgi continues to sing and that attractive guitarist beside her went back sa pagtingin lang sa guitar niya.

 

Parang hindi nagpapakilig. Kainis talaga.

Honestly, nagulat talaga ako. I really don't know na she can play the guitar. 

 

When we're talking with our friends about Rj's band, wala naman silang nababanggit na she knew how to play. 

 

I just realized na marami pa talaga akong hindi alam about her. 

 

We don't have to rush. I like things between us na ganito lang. We have a lot of time to know each other naman. 

 

Sometimes she's looking at me, especially kapag chorus. But she never looked at the crowd. 

 

She's just looking at me or the guitar.

 

Super nakakakilig! 

 

Her eyes! God! Grabe talaga! Ang expressive bakit ganon?! 

 

I don't know what to exactly feel pero I just know na kanina pa mabilis yung heartbeat ko. Sana hindi naman naririnig ng friends namin.

"Okay so baka tomorrow na lang yung celeb for this successful event. Check the gc na lang." 

 

That was our president, she saw siguro na some of us wants to rest na kaya she moved the celeb for tomorrow. 

 

I was supposed to help them in cleaning and putting things back to its respective places and departments pero I flinched when I felt Chaeryeong pinching my side. 

 

"Kami na diyan sis, go ka na sa sundo mo." She said while pointing her lips sa likod ko. 

 

I followed what she was pointing then I saw Winter na inaayos and binabalik sa case yung guitar na gamit niya earlier.

 

Kinikilig tuloy ulit ako. 

 

I asked Chaeryeong if sure ba siya the she said na okay lang daw so I went to Winter na. 

 

"Sabi mo you're gonna rest, so bakit nandito ka?" I saw her pouted. God, that's so adorable. 

 

"Ay ayaw pala ako dito. Sige uwi na pala ako, bye." She sadly said. She was about to walk away when I held the hem of her shirt.

 

"I was joking lang! Diba ihahatid mo pa 'ko?" Surprisingly, my voice came out soft when I asked her. 

 

"A-ano, syempre ihahatid k-kita. Tara na." 

 

I didn't notice but kami na lang pala yung nandito malapit sa stage. There are other equipments pa but I think babalikan nila yan later. 

 

"Tara, samahan na kita."  I told Winter na babalik ako sa sc office because nandun yung things ko.

 

We just started walking when I felt her hand interlacing with mine.

 

"O-okay lang ba?" She asked referring to our hands.

 

"More than okay." I smiled as I answered her question.

 

She's really brave when there's no people watching us, maybe because dun siya mas comfortable. I feel my heart racing again, even sa small things like this, ganito yung effect niya sakin. 

 

When we reached the sc office, bumitaw na kami from each other. Ang lala din kasi mang-asar ng co-members namin and even yung officers. 

 

I fixed my things and nagpaalam na ako sa kanila. I don't want to take my time because gusto ko na makauwi, para makapagrest na din si Winter. 

 

Pumunta na kami sa parking and she handed me the extra helmet. I'm not really scared na sa motorcycle niya, she's a great driver din naman.

 

While on our way papunta samin, dumaan kami sa jollibee drive-thru just outside our subdivision. 

 

We stopped for a while sa gate para iwan yung id niya, she doesn't have the sticker kasi. Yung sticker para hindi na iiwan yung id sa guard.

 

Akala ko we'll go straight sa bahay namin, pero may other plans yata siya. She turned left kasi eh yung way sa house namin is sa right. 

 

Huminto siya sa park, she turned off the engine then she lend her hand para may guide ako while going down from the motorcycle. 

 

She parked the motorcycle beside ng bench. She took  off her helmet then she did the same for me. 

 

"Upo ka na dun." Then she handed me some of the foods that we bought kanina sa drive-thru. 

 

"Alam mo minsan, you're weird." I told her while slightly laughing, she sat beside me. Nasa gitna namin yung foods.

 

"Crush mo naman." She shrugged, I faked a gasped. So ang tapang niya today, huh. 

 

"Okay, that's true naman." I saw how her ears turned red. Akala mo ikaw lang ha. 

 

"Why did you bring me here pala?" I asked her. 

 

"Wala lang, bawal ba?" She asked pabalik, I didn't answer but I playfully flicked her forehed. 

 

"Kain ka na. Di ka pa kumakain diba?" She asked while handing me the hotdog and fries. I took it naman because nafeel ko na yung gutom from the event earlier. 

 

I looked at her and she's happily munching the hotdog. We have the same order kasi. 

 

Another thing I learned about Winter was the fact na matakaw siya. I guess it's because of her training and diet.

 

She told me na sometimes lang talaga siya kumakain without restrictions beacuse of the training and all basketball stuff. 

 

I'll cook for her na lang kaya? 

 

Joke, baka magcause pa ako ng fire sa bahay eh. 

 

"I didn't know na you can play the guitar. Bakit hindi ka nagsasabi?" I asked her. 

 

"Di ka rin naman nagtanong eh. Ikaw? Tumutugtog ka ba ng instruments?" She shrugged while answering, puno pa din yung mouth niya.

 

Look at her cheeks! So cute! She looked like a kid talaga when she's eating. 

 

"Before, but I stopped na. I can play the piano." I told her and she immediately looked at me with so much interest. 

 

"Talaga? Bakit ka naman huminto?" She asked, fries naman yung kinakain nya. 

 

"I don't know, wala ng time? Wala na yung passion?" Honestly, bigla na lang kasi ako di nagplay. I focused on acads din kasi.

 

We were silent for a few minutes then I decided to speak ulit. 

 

"Do you sing din ba?" I asked her, naubos ko na yung hotdog na binili namin. 

 

"Huminto din ako eh. Ngayon nga lang din ako ulit tumugtog." She answered, I don't know if ako lang. Pero I think there's a reason on why did she stopped, I don't want to force her naman if she's not comfortable sharing. 

 

We just continued eating, nagkwento siya about their training kanina. Nakatulog naman pala talaga siya and she woke up late that's why naging last performer si Ate Seulgi. Now that I remember, It was really Ate Seulgi dapat then last performance yung bands. 

 

I told her about what we did din kanina, the preparations and all. She's listening with so much enthusiam, nakakatuwa lang. 

 

"Tara na, medyo late na. Baka hinahanap ka na sa inyo." We fixed our mess and tinapon yun sa nearest trash bins. 

 

She asked me if I want to wear a helmet pa, I said no na kasi we're inside the subdivision naman na and wala naman na masiyadong nasa labas. She agreed din naman.

 

Ang relaxing pala when you don't wear a helmet. I can feel the air on my face kasi, Winter agreed na relaxing nga siya pero she doesn't advise na wag na maghelmet. Sometimes kahit nga daw sya natatakot for those people na malakas daw ang loob na di maghelmet. 

 

When we're in front of our house nakita namin si kuya pancho, probably checking and securing that the gatesa are locked. 

 

"Ma'am, kala ko po nakauwi na kayo. Oh, Winter.." 

 

"Good evening, Kuya Pancho. Hinatid ko lang si Rina hehe." Winter greeted him while smiling shyly.

 

"Si mommy po?" I asked him nung nakababa ako sa motorcylce.

 

"Ay baka nagpapahinga na po ang mommy nyo, ma'am." He answered. "Papasok ka ba Winter? Pwede ko buksan yung gate." 

 

"Ay di na po, uuwi na rin po ako. Hinatid ko lang talaga si Rina." Winter answered, nahihiya pa rin siya. 

 

"Text me when you're home na, 'kay?" I turned to Winter and tapped her arm. 

 

"Noted, boss." She answered while smiling. Hay nako, Winter Kim.. you and you're playfulness.

 

"Alis na po ako, kuya." She said then sinuot niya na yung helmet. I watched her motorcycle hanggang sa it's out of my sight na then pumasok na ako sa loob.

 

Wala si mom sa living room so maybe she's in their room na. I took a quick bath and did my night routine, when I checked my phone there's a message from Winter na.
