Your week was the same as usual, you attended classes Monday through Thursday and spent your free time with your roommates and bestfriends: Arin and Yeri

On Friday nights, the three of you would have your weekly movie nights since it was the only day of the week the three of you wouldn't be doing any school work.

For this week you all decided to watch: The Broken Hearts Gallery

(Arin)-I wish it were this easy to get a cute guys attention

(Yeri)-Tell me about it, I wish I had half the confidence of the main character, being single

(You)-Who needs a man's attention when I got my girl's right here

(Yeri)-That's right Y/N-ah, you two better promise me that if any of us get boyfriend's this year, we must tell each other about it

(You and Arin)-We promise 

Halfway through the film you got a text from Mark:

-Hey bestie, what are you up to? Wanna facetime?

-Sorry buddy not today, it's girls night tonight, no boys allowed sorry

-What do you all do exactly on girls night?

-You know the usual girly stuff, watching rom-coms and doing each other's nails, what are you doing tonight?

-Helping the professor grade the artist statements, wanna know what you got?

-No! Don't ruin my night! I already know I failed my midterm.

-Oh come on now don't doubt yourself like that, also I'm not allowed to tell you anyway I was just kidding~

-Very funny, did you text me just to scare me?

-No of course not, I just wanted the company since I'm bored out of my mind

-I've heard that I do make good company 

-You sure do ;)

At this point both Yeri and Arin were no longer watching the film but looking at you smiling at your phone while texting Mark

(Yeri)-Alright spill who is he?

(You)-huh? oh nobody just a friend

(Arin)-Oh really? why are you smiling so much then?

(Yeri)-Did you forget the promise we just made?

(You)-I promise it's just a friend, he's just funny that's why I was smiling

(Arin)-At least show us what he looks like, you owe us that much

(You)-Fine as you wish

You then showed them a series of photos of him:

(Yeri)-What the heck Y/N-ah why were you hiding this beautiful man from us? (they said while taking your phone from you to look at more pics)

(Arin)-Yeah seriously just when I thought no hot guys went to our school, you have to introduce him to us sometime when the two of you are official!

(You)-Well don't get your hopes up since that's never going to happen

(Yeri)-Why not? wait let me guess, he's taken huh?

(You)-No actually we can't date because he's my TA in one of my classes

(Yeri & Arin)-Wait what?!

(You)-Also like a week before this quarter started we matched on Tinder and then quickly unmatched once we found out that he was my TA

(Yeri)-That doesn't mean the two of you should be casually texting each other! What if you two get caught?

(Arin)-As much as we want to support your relationship with him, I agree with Yeri you need to cut off contact with him before things get more complicated

(You)-I swear we're just friends and there's nothing wrong with that right?

(Yeri)-He could lose his job because of this Y/N-ah, tell him to keep in contact with you only after you complete this class. If he cares about you then he'll wait

You then went ahead and left Mark one last text message:

-Let's not keep in contact anymore, it's for the best, if you want to talk to me only do so once we've finished this quarter. Otherwise I'll block you so that you can't talk to me outside of school.

During class

(Professor)-Before we start class I actually want to disclose some news regarding our TA's, so I had to let one of our TA's go since I found out through rumors that he was actually keeping in contact with one of our students in this class outside of just emailing them. So take this as a warning, TA's and students must maintain a relationship only during class and office hours that I will be monitoring as of now on. Do I make myself clear? 

Everyone simply nodded as a response

You made sure to not smile when looking at Mark, and only responded to him when he was asking you to answer a question.

As much as it , this incident of another TA and student going through something like this was a wake up call for you.

So immediately after class you blocked Mark on Instagram along with his phone number so that he couldn't reach out to you. (Outside of the email system which of course had to remain professional.)

You wanted to keep in contact with him but knew that he needed to keep his job and that was more important to you than anything.

It that this is how you two had to meet..."if only he was a student and not a TA" you thought
