Chapter 22

Chapters

The villa was tucked away on a quiet part of the island. Getting out of the car Phoebe could hear the waves hitting the shore and she could smell the beach air. Hoseok got to work getting their luggage out since he was ready to crash in bed. Phoebe grabbed her bag before planting a kiss on his jaw.

"You tired?" She asked.

"A little bit. Still gotta get everything in." He looked towards the front door and noticed some boxes that had been delivered. 'Good, everything is going to plan.'

The pair worked to get everything inside and the food put away before they finally relaxed. Hoseok found Phoebe leaning on the balcony looking out onto the ocean. He stood there for a moment admiring her and how the moonlight made her skin glow.  Hoseok remembered that he had packed his camera. He quickly got it out of his bag so he could capture this moment. Phoebe turned as she heard the click of the camera.

"Sorry, you were just too beautiful to not." He placed the camera on the bed and wrapped his arms around her.

"You are so cheesy you know that?" She chuckled as she laid her head back on his shoulder. "It feels nice to get away from the city."

"I agree." Hoseok planted sweet kisses along her neck as his hold on her tightened.

"Can we go down to the beach tomorrow?" The villa was on a private beach and she could only imagine how beautiful it was in daylight.

"We can. We can even have a picnic down there."

"Hmmm sounds perfect." She leaned her head to the side as his kisses on her neck deepened. They stayed there for a moment enjoying each other's presence and listening to the ocean waves breaking. It was late by the time they finally headed to bed. Phoebe tucked her head under Hoseok's chin taking in his vanilla scent.

The next morning, Hoseok was up and preparing breakfast for the still sleeping Phoebe. He had left the balcony doors open so she could wake to the waves breaking against the shore. The morning had been so calming for him. The idea of a slow quiet morning seemed so foreign to him nowadays. Waking up to see her sleeping face in the morning sun was like a dream. He wondered what she was dreaming of as he watched the corner of her lip twitch.

He heard her stirring as he was plating breakfast. Phoebe slowly opened her eyes and saw the sheer curtains blowing in the ocean breeze. The smell of bacon filled the room pulling her from the last grasps of sleep. Her eyes finally landed on Hoseok carrying a tray of food into the room.

"Morning," he said quietly.

"Morning." She sat up as he placed the tray in front of her and munched on a piece of bacon. Her eyes followed him as he sat on his side of the bed and planted a kiss on her cheek.

"Sleep well?"

"Like a baby," she sighed. Phoebe began to munch on food looking out to the ocean. "I think this has been the best morning I've had so far."

"Even better than the first morning we spent together?" She looked back at him with a content smile.

"While I woke up happy you were there, I was super nervous that there was one of the most famous Idols in my bed fresh from his world tour."

"And now?"

"Now I woke up to the ocean waves and the love of my life bringing me food with no rush to be anywhere or do anything."

Hoseok had a quiet smile on his face as if to tell her that he knew what she meant. Phoebe laid her head in his lap and looked up at him with a smile.

"Hi," she said with a chuckle. He chuckled as he looked down at her poked at the tip of her nose with his finger. Hoseok couldn't help but love the way her nose scrunch as she giggled. A quiet moment in their otherwise busy lives. A quiet moment where both of them slipped further into love. Phoebe closed her eyes completely content with where she was in the moment. Hoseok gently ran his fingers through her hair as he admired her long lashes.

"Thank you for spilling those noodles on me."

"You're very welcome sir," She giggled before popping another piece of bacon in . The two stayed like that for a while talking and admiring small details about each other. After a while, they decided to get ready for the day. Hoseok made it hard for Phoebe to shower efficiently since he held her close to his chest planting kisses down her kneck.

"Hobi, I'm trying to shower so we can go out," she playfully whined.

"Fine fine," he chuckled as he let her go. They got dressed and got lunch together before heading out to the beach below. Hoseok admired his girlfriend's silhouette in the long dress he had picked out for her earlier. As she walked onto the beach he swore his heart stopped when she turned and smiled. He pulled up the camera and took a picture. The beach was private with no other villa near them.

The sand gave a little under her feet as she left her shoes by the stairs. Hoseok took her hand as they walked closer to the shore. After picking a spot near the store they laid out the large blanket. Phoebe sat between his legs with her back against his chest. He planted a soft kiss behind her ear. "You seem relaxed."

"Mhmm," she hummed, "I'm assuming you wanted to get my mind off of my book."

"You would be correct." Hoseok nuzzled her neck.

"It has helped but it is still in the back of my mind. I still worry it'll get thrown out and then I don't know what I'll do."

"But as of right now it has not been thrown out so, let's not worry about what might happen. At least not right now."

"I keep trying to tell myself that," she sighed, "But it's hard not to think about it when it could possibly be the biggest thing in my career."

"No, I get it. I just want you to relax and enjoy yourself."

Phoebe looked out to the ocean trying to keep her mind off of work. She wondered if Hoseok was having the same problem. She knew he had a busy schedule coming up starting Monday. The work of an idol is never done. Phoebe tried not to jump when she felt his lips against her ears.

"Why don't you walk along the beach, I have an idea."

Phoebe turned around and looked at him, "What do you have in mind?"

"Nothing bad. Come on." He stood up and held out his hand to help her up. She took it eyeing him. The sun was almost directly over them as noon drew near. Hoseok picked up his camera and followed behind her taking photos. Looking away, she smiled as she heard the camera shutters. Just as her feet met the water, she turned to look back at Hoseok. He was bent down as he took the shot. He looked up from the camera meeting her gaze.

"Fate has been too kind to me."

Chapter 2: Awww....only on Chapter 2 atm, but it's a really cute & fluffy beginning so far! Also, love the story cover!! It's simple & easy on the eyes.
Tbh, for this chapter, I was a bit surprised because the texting part kinda reminds me of what I'm doing for one of my stories (similar in the sense of finding love through the help of technology, I think). Though, I suppose it's common nowadays.
Hope you don't mind a bit of unsolicited suggestion, but I think it would be helpful for readers to visualize how Phoebe looks like if you can give a bit of description in the first chapter. I was having a bit of trouble trying to imagine how she looks like. Is she an Asian-American, or a blonde Caucasian, and etc.
Anyways, I look forward to your updates. Meanwhile, I'm glad to have chapters to catch up at the moment as I wait for your future updates! :)
