Mina stared at the ceiling as she laid in her new bed. She was comfortable, but everything in her mind was racing. She had a meeting with Sana and Jeongyeon in the morning and she wasn’t sure how to even begin to thank them. Everything just seemed to be too much.

“Please?” Mina turned her head, seeing one of the little kids from the orphanage with their plate in their hands.

“I’m sorry… We don’t have anything else.” The cook frowned at the little kid.

“Come here.” Mina called out to them. She watched as the little kid ran to her, sitting on her lap while she split her plate. “Still hungry?” She chuckled, watching as the kid ate quickly.

“You shouldn’t share with them.” One of the older kids scoffed. “Why should you be nice when no one has been nice to us before?”

“Sometimes you have to be nice to get kindness in return…” Mina whispered.

Mina’s eyes fluttered open to the sound of her alarm, unaware she had fallen asleep. She sat herself up, walking out to see Dahyun and Chaeyoung eating cereal at the table. She mumbled a quiet good morning to them, walking over to the fridge to pull out leftovers from the night before. Her stomach growled, but she was used to ignoring it. She plated a little bit of the food, microwaving the small dish before she had to leave.

“Do you work today?” Dahyun asked quietly.

“Just for a few hours.” Mina answered.

“You only have 2 jobs now right?” Chaeyoung asked, looking back at the older.

“Yeah, and babysitting Momo here and there.” She shrugged.

“Good.” Chaeyoung smiled. “I miss that kid.” She laughed quietly.

Sana stayed silent as she waited for the familiar sound of her doorbell going off. Jeongyeon had taken Tzuyu to school and would be home any second. Mina would be arriving soon as well. Which meant she had time.
